Three Nocturnes op.9 are dedicated to the brilliant pianist Marie Pleyel. In this talented woman was madly in love H. Berlioz, who on the grounds of jealousy even planned her murder, but at the last moment decided to abandon this plan. Marie’s friendship with Chopin was close and he admired her talent, as did many others, so he decided to pay his respects through this musical dedication.
