Wow this review should get more views. Its hands down one of the most thorough display of features. Not a real review but really useful when trying to decide on what to buy.
Why doesn't CASIO make Chordana Play app compatible with all CASIO digital pianos or at least the Privia series such as the PX-350?? So difficult to include the driver library? Don´t you realize that the innovation race is now on who (Yamaha, Roland, Korg) will offer the best mobile application? Making it background compatible would be a huge step of making your app popular. Try to learn from Apple´s success with its free GarageBand.
I had an acoustic piano. I sold it because I didn't like the sound. Later the prices increased and I was left without a piano :( I hope I can get one as soon as possible. Ap 470
What cable is needed to connect to my phone to use chlordane app, my Casio ap-470, and the piano seems to be out of tune by 1 key, how do i reset it? thanks
No audio over USB only MIDI and no AUX input for iPad/ iPod etc.. want to use RU-vid for learning with headphones you need to buy outboard mixer and run the AP470 and iPad into that and use the mixer’s headphone output. Why no AUX in??
I bought a PX-S3000 several months ago and really enjoy playing it. This video shows the Casio models compatible with Chordana for Piano and does not include this model; however, both the online page for the PX-S3000 and the downloaded owner's manual for this model claim compatibility, and the manual explains how to sync the phone app to the instrument. But it doesn't work! Is there someone "out there" who has succeeded with the sync-ing who could describe how it's done, or someone from Casio to explain the false advertising?
I have the same piano and it does work. There's 2 versions of the app for some reason. You need "chordana play for piano" not the other one, and your device has to be connected to the usb-b port (the square one). For my ipad this required a camera connection kit to get a usb port on it and an a-b cable from the pad to the piano. Bluetooth connection only works for audio so the app needs the cable. Hope this helps :)
When you load a midi file the app asks you to specify right and left hand parts and has like 10 little left hands and right hands and a bunch of mute buttons etc. I can’t figure out what you’re supposed to do even after reading the instructions!?

1. Exactly what is it about the listed "compatible" Casio digital pianos that makes them compatible with the Chordana Play for Piano app? 2. If the addition of the special connector is what makes them compatible, exactly how is it wired to the keyboard connector? Which two wires on the keyboard connector need to be tapped for the app to play properly? I have a Casio AL-150R and would like to adapt it to make use of the Chordana Play for Piano app. Would you kindly give me some guidance. Thank you.
I do love my casio PX S 3000, but the APP does not work well with my Samsung mobile, Bluethooth connection is possible but this is a BUG-APP. I am sorry
I have an AP270. Initially Chordana worked for about a week and later it no longer worked. I re-downloaded the app and it didn't work either. Disappointing..

I have the newest AP-470 Celviano and tried to connect Chordana for Piano via USB cable (micro end to the phone, regular USB to the piano's USB port). All attempts have failed. Is it the cable or am I missing something?
Dear Joe Back, for Android devices, connect to compatible piano by means of a USB-OTG adapter + USB cable. You might probably miss the (micro) USB-OTG adapter in your setup. I hope this might help. Kind regards!
Dear Ejder BÜYÜKNISAN, the forerunner models of the actual CDP-S range unfortunately don't work with the Chordana Play For Piano app. CDP-S100 and CDP-S350 are the first CDP-S models which have this feature. Best regards, your CASIO EMI team.

And you know what.. There is place to have connection on the piano.. But we are not using.. This is really strange.. If there is a place on the piano.. It should work.. Please solve the problem... Your engineer should know this.. Because there is place on the piano 🙂🙂

I'm thinking of buying a casio ap-270. But having an app to control it scares me. What happens when support drops which it eventually will? Is it connected to services which might go down in the future? Do I have to keep around an ancient ipad 10 years from now just to be able to control basic functions?

Additionally, the communication between the app and the piano works with the common MIDI format which has existed since 1982 and won't disappear in the near future. You can also access all of the instrument functions through a combination of function buttons with the keys. Dear Robin Zhoa, there are two versions of the app: 1) Chordana Play for Keyboard and 2) Chordana Play for Piano. The supported keyboards for Nr. 1) are: CTK-3500, CTK-2500, LK-266, LK-254 and for Nr. 2): AP-470, AP-270, PX-870, PX-770 at the moment.
Dear Vanderlei Rufino Domingos , Chordana Play For Piano doesn't work with CTK-7200. The app works with AP-470, AP-270, PX-870, PX-770, PX-S1000, PX-S3000, CDP-S350 and CDP-S100. We also have the Chordana Play for Keyboard app which works with some of the brand new CASIOTONE keyboards as also CTK-3500, CTK-2500, LK-S250 and LK-265.
@@casiomusiceurope Is it merely the absence of the special added connector that makes the AP-450 incompatible? Couldn't the necessary additional connector be wired into the piano's keyboard connector cable by a competent technician?

Did you manage to get the connection yet? My son just bought same piano. I think a printer cable plus usb adaptor (to host device, phone or tablet) is the correct way. Please say what worked for you. Thanks.
