My favorite thing is watching people come to bts for whatever reason - because they like dance, or rap, or filmmaking - and then get hooked like the rest of us because the artists and the content they deliver are so excellent and diverse and extensive and significant and beautiful and ...
People come to BTS for reasons of their own but fall in love with BTS for other things they never knew they needed. We start off at “i just want to know their name” but…
First heard ‘Boy with Love’ on radio. At 62 best rabbit hole ever! So much to discover. They are special in so many ways and I love knowing there are still songs I haven’t heard, dances I haven’t seen. The beauty of the way they treat each other and army. So glad they happened in my lifetime -live show now a dream and a goal! Thanks guys for getting me off my couch and reminding me to 🎶turn it up, turn it up, in my Honda💜 A young Korean couple came and said hi as I was blasting it and washing car, such love they spread everywhere!!
You should react to their dance practice videos!! They’re one-shot and you can see all of the dance without the camera moving around all the time :)) I’d recommend ON, DNA, Fire and Blood, Sweat and Tears (which is the song you just watched but I think you see a lot more of the choreo from the dance practice rather than the live, cause the live shows off their vocals a lot more. Considering your looking at the dancing, I’d say dance practices are the way to go for your reactions)!!
Agreed. I will def check their practices out. You're correct you can prob see things so much better without the camera moving around. I can see more detail that way too x0x0. I will check them out!
No, you haven't been living under a rock. They seem to come into ppls lives always at the right time! And they welcome anyone in that has a genuine love for music and dance! Your gonna be an even happier person from this experience!! Enjoyed your reaction! Thanks for sharing with us! 🤗💜🤗
Dont know if anybody mentioned it but when Jimin was wearing the blindfold he couldnt see anything at all they had to help him into position on stage. Also no JT in this group they are all stars and could all have solo careers in their own right if they wanted too. Luckily for us they formed the group and for that im forever thankful. Also 3 of them had to learn how to dance after joining the group one of them in his twenties.
5:10 "oh shit that’s sick", 5:35 "dude’s kinda fly" … same Lindsey same 😅. The Jimin effect has entered the video. They’re all such great performers and talented musicians 💜, can’t wait for your reactions to the dance practice videos and some iconic live presentations!!!
They actually performed one more song after this. Their training and energy is insane. Truly believe they're one of the best artists/performers of this generation.
Thanks so much! I appreciate you and you taking the time to hear my insight. I loved their video! Im excited to see more and dive deeper into it all from my professional experience and perspective
@@lindseymackail9350 We’re in for a treat, then! Just a couple of videos and it already shows you know what you’re talking about. You’re definitely gonna love J-hope, Jimin & all other BTS members dancing chops - these guys are MONSTERS, really. What they have achieved these past 8 years is utterly insane when it comes to stagecraft & coordination. Again, looking forward very much to all your future reaction vids, BTS or else! ^^ cheers!
BTS are very hardworking. They take their crafts seriously. So they exert so much effort in rehearsals, practice, performances and such. One of the reasons why I stanned them is bcuz of their work ethic. Seeing them work so hard in everything they do despite being famous and well known inspires me to do the same.
I'll just say it : You ain't seen nothing yet !! LOL LOL... you will love their works, and their live performances are amazing. Hope you will watch Dope, Black Swan, ON Kinetic Manifesto... and the 2018 MMA and 2019 MMA full performances. There are so many...so I'll stop here ...😂
hahaha you can keep going on and on I'm sure lol. Love the energy and the excitement. I can imagine this is only the beginning so I CANT WAIT to get rocked like I have a feeling I will ;) stay tuned I will check it all out x0x0x
@@DD-rs9zj Yes the 2019 MMA is iconic and reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s style. I can watch that performance over and over again because it’s that good!👏
That was a good reaction. :) The 2 guys at the beginning first was J-hope, and then Jimin came in 2nd. They are the 2 best dancers in the group, not to say the rest are shabby by any stretch of the imagination. They are all GOOD. J-hope and Jimin just stand out a little more. J-hope was a street dancer before joining BTS and Jimin was trained in contemporary when he was younger. You should watch more, they record their dance practices to, so you can watch the dances without all the cuts and zooms of a live performance. I really like the dance practice videos a lot.
@Megglette...Excuse me. There are 3 dance leaders: J-hope, Jimin & Jungkook. These 3 guys NOT 2 guys are the best dancers of the group. According to RM, what it takes those 3 guys 1 day to learn, takes 3-4 days for the other 4 to learn. That's why those 3 are the dance leaders & they help with their techniques for the other 4 learn the choreo.
@@myrnariley7755 Yes!! JK is front and center most of the time. He is the sexiest dancer in my opinion, his moves are super sharp and not soft at all which makes him stand out. Thats why we have 3J not 2J ... lol
loved the reaction!! i highly recommend you to watch filter performance by jimin, one of the members of bts (the blindfolded one at the beginning) and also “dionysus” and “ON”live performance with the seven of them
Thank you!! Im on it! And thank you so much for letting me know which on Jimin is! Im really wanting to learn all of their names and get to know each of them better as artists and performers.
@@lindseymackail9350 Jimin was the blindfolded one, if possible you may also like Black Swan, it’s a more contemporary style piece. Watching the Black swan behind the scene can show you a bit into Jimin’s dance style. The other dancer on the blue side with the white shirt is called J-Hope. He is a more street style dancer. Popping, locking lol that’s J-Hope. If you want to his style I think the Mic Drop dance practice highlights it best. That song is hip-hop with a sick beat. These guys including Jk(dead bird 😂) and V(singularity) form the dance line JK and V strike me as allrounders, JK has a lot of power in his dance while V has a lot of charisma. At this stage, they are all exceptional dancers with their own flair that they bring to the table. Amazing reaction!! Def subscribed!!
Loved this! You could react to them dancing to a song they have called Dionysus - it’s some of the most hardcore dancing I’ve ever seen them do. Really looking forward to seeing what you post next! ☺️
New subscriber- I love your reaction. Looking forward to seeing more. Like the others had already recommended, dance practices allow you to really see how in sync they are. But please also dive into their music videos and make sure to turn on closed caption cuz they go deep with their lyrics- almost poetry at times. They are super diverse. Recommend Black Swan, On Kinetic Manifesto, Mic Drop. If you let us know what type of music you like, ARMY will guide your way LOL!
Now that you're hooked, watch all the award show performance!!! My personal favorite are Dionysus MAMA (2018 i think) and Dynamite MMA (2020)! Edit: Dionysus MMA 2019!
Dionysus was released in 2019 😊 there’s 2 Dionysus performances, the short one, MAMA 2019, where they only performed Dionysus and the almost an hour long performance, MMA 2019, where they performed multiple songs with many dances.. and yes, Ms. Lindsay, you're going to love MMA 2020 since you're a big MJ fan 😉
I put this on Blake's channel so I'll add it here for your reference: since you liked the dance battle format of JHope and Jimin in the opening here, you might also like Showdown with Jimin and Taemin (of the kpop group Shinee) performing together at the KBS Gayo festival in 2016.
You have to watch that whole performance, they didn’t just dance their asses off for one song 😆 and if you love the dancing I think a dance practice video is a must watch!
Your definitely right about them knowing they’re handsome. One of the members has given himself the nickname wwh (world wide handsome) because everyone loved him so much and thought he was really handsome. He has been known as car door guy, third guy from the left, front door guy, and many other things. That’s how much people like him and think he’s handsome lol
Love how you point out minor details, you're one of the few who actually observe everything and give insights on it. Thankyou for the reaction ♥️ will wait for more! Also please check their dance practice videos, they're one shot and you can see all the dance moves cleaner.
Thanks for reacting to BTS....so much more to explore if you are interested! I think you would enjoy their dance practices and some incredible live performances....Not Today, Dionysus, Danger to name a few. The thing that first attracts us to BTS is their song and performance, but what makes us hardcore fans is that they are incredibly humble and show us their vulnerable sides all the time. We feel like we get to know them as people and they are the best example of good humans I have seen in a long time.
Thank you for the knowledge Laurie. That is amazing to hear. I know this is just the beginning for me with getting to know them as artist but I LOVE that you said they are humble and kind as people and to me, that's the BEST thing they can be. You are correct, you don't see that too often so the fact that they are that way will make me love them even more
And their commitment and love to Army (loyal fans) is also key. They’ve got a lot of personal-type vids on RU-vid showing so much of their color, often with English subtitles. They are an amazing lot, and the best ever overall. I’m a senior who LOVES music and I have NEVER seen such a humble lot. The rest of the music and dance world could stand/need to have managers like who they’ve got! But even in that, it’s the core of each one of them-you can’t duplicate that. I honestly think there will only be one BTS/a very top band. They’ve gleaned and glean from others yet still maintain their own. To me, they are the culmination of the best ever. Can’t say it enough. Love each one of them! And their love and commitment to Army is unheard of! That, too, can’t be duplicated. And then the choreographers behind their dances... dang! And their musicians! And their songwriters! Check out their DNA and Black Swan songs in their mirrored practice vids and other views, among many other songs. The many turn-ons are non-stop. And then they have their single-sung songs. These guys are fun, delightful, respectable, and lovable to boot! I wish America would glean from them! Humility, confidence and respect are HUGE factors! Oh, and not to mention their unique talents. ;) BTS! BTS! BTS! Ya, I’m now a forever fan. Smitten. And their latest hits are definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already...
Keep reacting to BTS and i'll be here for it 😄 Their dancing was the first thing that impressed me and that continues to this day! J-Hope (the pink haired one in this) is my favourite but they are all amazing! Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole!!
Black Swan, ON kinetic manifesto, MIC drop, watch singularity live. And the videos of all their dance practices and behind the scenes. Have fun going down the rabbit hole.
Your breakdown of the performance was 🔥 MJ you say? Go check out Dynamite MMA 2020. I'm sure other dance practices and performances will get you hooked. I enjoyed your reaction. Am now your 150th subscriber 💜
Thank you...yes MJ is my dude!! lol....seriously one the greatest ever. I will have to check that out for sure! and heck yessss I love that you are 150th ;) x0x0xx0 thanks for the love
I just finished the audiobook covering BTS' first ten years. Bang Sihyuk used to record them and correct them frame by frame demanding they're identical down to the positioning and shape of their hands. And Jin reminisced in Suchwita that they used to practice with oxygen deprivation masks like Olympians.
I met BTS💜 in 2017 when I was in a very dark place in my life and didn't want to live anymore, but I was browsing RU-vid and came across BTS💜and listened to a total days worth of songs, videos and messages, and after a few weeks, I was hooked and fell in love with BTS💜 and they all literally saved my life in 2017 and I am so very grateful to them. I am an official Army since 2017 and I cannot live without them for even an hour, I have to see them and hear them, they are my reason for learning to love myself for the first time ever in my life, thank you for checking them out, and I hope you will continue to watch BTS💜
This is so so special to share with me and I thank you for that. I am so sorry you ever felt that way but beyond thankful BTS was able to be your light when you needed it the most. That is powerful and lovely!! Thankful they showed you how to love yourself x0x0x
Loved your BTS reactions. 💜 Appreciated your genuine enthusiasm and the sharing of your knowledge and expertise. Thank you. Looking forward to sharing your journey. 💜
what i see in BTS cheography is that they actually telling a story with their dances so its much more than just a beautiful dancing! if you want to know more about BTS i suggest you to watch ''the most beautiful moments in life update 2021''.
I'm really enjoying your reactions and comments on their performances. I'm so excited you already watched Singularity, my #1 favorite BTS MV. There will be an almost unlimited supply of content you will have to watch to catch up haha.. Looking forward to more reaction videos. Btw, you were trying to find the JT in this group. I'd say BTS is more like nsync with five JTs :))
I’m a dancer and a huge MJ fan too! 😊💜 BTS’s hit song “Dynamite” is a tribute to MJ and also their MMA 2020 dance break is also a tribute to him! And Jimin and Jungkook did a cover of MJ’s “Black or White”! Please react to these! 💜 I think you will also like the 3J “Butter remix” dance. 3J is the official dance line of BTS: J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook. 💜 I recommend watching “Introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update)” by Ida S to learn more about them. I also think you will enjoy Jungkook’s new dance cover that he posted on his Instagram to “Bare with Me”. 🌟💜
This song Blood, Sweat and Tears is based on the classic book by Hermann Hesse entitled Demian all about growing up, meeting evil and facing/faling to temptation, the loss of innocence.
@@lindseymackail9350 they are!! I watched your Singularity reaction at Blake's channel, that's what brought me here. Also, my fave BTS member is V, so I really appreciate you reacting to that MV
quote of the day: "breathing is such an important thing" no but really, i'm glad you enjoyed watching them perform! hopefully you can find more joy through them in the future!
Mic Drop practice for MAMA is #1 for me. The live performances for Black Swan is really good too. You got a whoooole world ahead of you if you want to keep going 😊
Your friend is throwing you into the deep end of the pool with BTS @ MAMA. Their Asian award show performances are incredible. Dance practices are also a good source for reaction material. One of my favs is DNA. I appreciate the candor in your review of the fellas as artists knowing where their individual power resides and how they express that to their audience. Thanks!!
See this is why, this is why PROFESIONAL should always have the place to speak. Every single thing she said was pure gold, I love when people that knows are the ones reacting, some things I totally missed until she said it. Thank you so much for this
I'm so glad you liked it! Hope you watch the dance practice for this song and others, you can see all their choreography clearly. I'd love to see your next reactions!
"Dude's kinda fly." Lmao that's The Jimin for you, welcome to the simping club 🤣💜 Edit now that I watched the whole video: Thank you for this lovely reaction! It was a great one, loved seeing you discovering the boys and hearing your thoughts from a professional standpoint. They are indeed great performers and dancers, their stages are always very original and well put together. I would love to see what you think about their MMA 2018 and 2019 performances! Those are legendary as well 😉
Thank you for the advice I will def check those out. Yeaaaaaah about that "dudes Kina fly" hahaha I couldn't help it he had me feeling some type of way and I wasn't ready for that hahahah
Their MMA (Melon Music Awards Show) are nothing like our award shows here in the US. Then to have BTS performing WOW. Remember that we will be here to watch no matter how long BTS performs on stage at the MMA. Check out the others (2017, 2018, 2019 (long one), and 2020 (during the pandemic). They didn't perform at the 2021 because they were here in the US performing their 4 day sold out PTD Concert at SoFi stadium in California. They were so excited to be back on stage and performing for their ARMY (the name of their Fanbase). They will be here to Perform their Concert in Las Vegas Àllegiant Stadium April 8-9 and April 15-16. (again sold out all 4 days within the first two hour). They are finally getting to Perform in Seoul S. Korea (their Homecoming Concert) March 10, 12, and 13 in person sold out Concert (but ARMY/fans will not be able to get up and dance or sing out, but will be able to clap and head bang) they will be offering their March 10 and 13 performance on March 19-20 10am KST streaming the concert Online by buying via Weverse (The BTS Global Official Fanclub/ ARMY membership site). Some Theaters around the World will be broadcasting the March 12 performance.
I love your reactions. Thank you for sharing your expertise. If you find something interesting in the video and pause and comment on it, I wouldn't mind if you go back a few seconds to show us again the part/move that you commented on. In their earlier choreography, they're truly in sync, with moves that are near-identical. It's like they move as one body. In their later choreography, they allow their individuality to shine more and you can see more of their individual styles. Some people would watch their dance videos eight times, once for each member as they would give you a slightly different performance from the others, and once for the whole group. (I will not confirm nor deny whether I'm one of those people.)
the two dancers during the intro are BTS's "main dancers". but they both are sooo different. jimin (the blindfolded one) was trained in contemporary as well as hiphop, and you can really see those influences in his dance! jhope (the "blue" in the dance "battle) definitely has b-boy influences. jhope is also like the "dance leader" of the group, and according to the boys, he's very strict in the practice room hahah. they're both amazing amazing dancers! definitely "equal" as you said :)) and all the other members are CRAZY dancers as well. even those who have said they aren't so confident in dancing 👏👏👏
So glad you enjoyed it. JHope is their dance leader and one of the most amazing dancers I have ever seen. The boys work extremely hard and like flawless performances. They are just amazing and their visuals are out of this world !
Great reaction video Lindsey! Terrific and unique perspective as a professional dancer and choreographer. If you want your head to truly explode, you need to watch the full (38+ mins) 2019 MMA performance (Melon Music Awards), keeping in mind that it's a freaking AWARDS show and not a BTS concert. When you see this, you'll instantly feel like American awards shows are not holding up their end of the deal...
I watched both of your BTS reactions and i loved them. Thank you for reacting to BTS i really enjoyed your reaction and your explanations on everything. Can't wait for more . I agree please react to the practices Like ON, danger, fire, idol Thank you
I really loved your insight on the choreo and I was so happy that you liked it. The first guy on stage was J-Hope who was an underground hip hop dancer before BTS and the second one is Jimin who went to a performing arts college and studied modern dance. The other guys learned once they were a group. Whenever you need a laugh check out their dance practice of Go when they dressed up. It's really funny but they still killed it on the dance! Welcome to the BTS Army!
Great reaction and I really like hearing your insights as well. BTS have A LOT of dance practice videos where you can see the full choreo all the way through without cuts. I would love to see you react to the dance practices for Black Swan, ON and Spring Day
I liked your reaction a lot! Your expertise is clear in your expression and attention to detail. I hope you will check out more BTS dance performances, videos, and practices! 💜
Just watched this, I came to fandom after the GRAMMY performance of BUTTER. I’m 57 and love them. My adult children just roll their eyes. I look forward to seeing your reaction to their other stuff. My favorites are BLACK SWAN and ON at Grand Central Station.
HI. It's so wonderful to see you react to the guys! They are so incredibly talented and they work so hard. We can give you a little backstory on Jimin in particular, tho all the guys are truly outstanding. I don't know in all the comments how much you were told, so I'll keep it brief, but Jimin, the one who started wearing the blindfold, studied contemporary dance at Busan School for the Arts as the top student. Since he has studied so many different styles, he found a way to combine them and has created a style that is completely unique to him, his body, and passion. In special performances like these, he really cuts loose and throws some crazy tricks that just blow our minds! Also, the dance practices really showcase the choreo really well, so yeah, you'll find a goldmine in the practices. Oh also, JHope, the other dancer, had to lead him out to the stage to perform that piece because he truly could not see thru that blindfold! Insane isn't it?! You'll see he even spots on the double, but can't see, so that's a huge nod to the years he spent training.
Omg lol I was staring at the room thinking "why does that look so much like Blake's room" 😂 thanks for popping out so soon Blake so I didn't have to stress too long
If you're an MJ fan, you should check out their rendition of Black and White. It's short, and the dance is done by only two of the members, but it's the flyest thing you've ever seen!
I really liked your reaction, you seem very honest. 🥰 I wanted to ask you something: I recently started dancing and I always hear "wow he/she has such clear lines" but I never ever find a video or something about what those lines are about. Would you mind to make a quick explanation (maybe in form of a video as well), please? 😊 Also if you want to dive into KPop a little bit deeper there are some really fabolous groups out there which are such good dancers and performers. I would like to recommend Stray Kids, Itzy, Dreamcatcher and Enhypen to you. I hope you continue your journey, BTS and other KPop Groups have a lot talent and enough stuff to dive in deep! 😄
Check out MAMA 2019 and 2020. And yes you go see them live, it’s so awesome, it’s an awesome party they throw. Live, lively, it’s a party the whole time!
Please also react to not today and spring day dance practice. What's amazing about bts is they sing live while dancing, which is rare in kpop industry.
yes lindsey that was an amazing video i loved all your reactions! you definitely need to check out their dance practices, their one shot from only the front so its better to see every step
Thanks for reacting to BTS! It's always so fun to watch new people discover them, and your point of view as a professional is super interesting. Welcome to the BTS ARMY! Others have said the same, but I recommend their dance practice videos because you see there are no camera cuts. You could watch the one for "Blood, Sweat & Tears" (2016) since you've just watched the live performance. I also recommend the dance practices for "Fire" (2016), "Danger" (2014), and "I Need U" (2015). All of their practices are worth watching, but I suggested some of their older stuff first so you can see their growth!
Great idea! Thanks so much for the insight and I will definitely be checking it all out and enjoying more of their performances and talent. Excited to get to know them better.
I kinda hate the camera shots in this performance. I love to see you react to their dance practices so you can see the entire choreography without cuts.
