Choreographer Reacts to JIMIN (BTS) & TAEMIN (SHINEE) - SHOWDOWN First Time Reaction! 

Have you reacted to Jimin's Like Crazy and Set Me Free Pt 2 dance practice videos? I would love to hear your views about them. They are so different but powerful in their own ways.

Thank you! I've always been extremely fascinated by Jimin and for me personally, no one comes close to him. Apart from that, I love this collaboration and think they both put on a great stage performance. Although they didn't really practice this choreo together, as we found out later, the sinergy was very good. I also have to give props to Jimin for pulling off the joint part right after his already very technical and energy demanding part without letting that energy and power fade. I think they are two dancers who respect each other very much and who make a very good performance duo on stage.

I agree they both had their different styles and didn't try to synchronize themselves so it was better to see their individuality. Jimin somehow seems to me to become the music and I just love watching him...he just did a short dance to Justin and Arianas stuck with you that was so beautiful..dancing is such a beautiful art form and I love watching it..thank you again as I enjoyed your opinion so much .

As far as I’m concerned, their collab was incredible! It’s especially impressive that Jimin put it all out there in his solo part and STILL danced amazingly, though he was tired before they went into their part - the collab.

Hi, ty for the reaction. Appreciate ur feedback. Taemin changes the choreo slightly after he learns it. So i think that is what occurred here. The way i understand it is that he does not choreograph much. (Thinking of all the title tracks he has). But i could be wrong i am still learning. Taemin is self taught and heavily MJ influenced. Taemin learned other dance styles as well over the years. Jimin has a stronger contemporary base because of his HS years as the top student in the whole contemporary dance class. Jimin went all out but he was dead tired and about to drop! Taemin was tired to and did not give his all. To this day Taemin wants a do over. The more u know. Both of them are competitive and perfectionists. Taemin tried to match Jimin more later but they both were so tired. I don't think they had enough practice time either. I could be wrong. Need to rewatch the Tamein interview on Suchwita. Taemin and Jimin spoke about this collab on Suchwita a show on here by Suga another BTS member. I hope u watch that. Taemin really surprised me with what he said on the show. Now i look at this stage differently. i also suggest u check out Taemin Guilty challenge with Jimin. i am an ult Jimin bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. And i started looking into Taemin because Jimin is inspired by him and they are friends. I never suspected I would become a Taemin bias too, lol. Adore them both. They look related to me so much sometimes, lol. During the challenges i usually watch Taemin his dance calls me. But surprisingly my eyes stayed on Jimin for this challenge. It was an interesting discovery for me. My dream is that they collab on a song together and do the choreo together. I hope one day that comes to be more than a dream. =0] Borahae. -NY USA 2019 Army💟

It was interesting when taemin was a guest on Suga’s suchwita and jimin joined in. They takes about this performance and jimin regrettedtgat didn’t have more rehearsal time. Behind the the scenes these two are friends 💜🇨🇦

They've talked about not having as much time to rehearse as they would have liked. I think that would have smoothed out some of the things you said, although some is definitely just definitely due to style. When I see Taemin with younger idols, I often see him almost take a step back so that they can shine. Not that I don't think he gives everything onstage, he's just so secure in his Taemin-ness, if that makes sense. When the two of them have done dance challenges lately, it's been pretty amazing. Jimin has grown as a dancer since this, imo. Jimin fits Taemin's style of choreo so well, and they both seem to up their game when they're with each other. Some of the other dancers paired with Taemin did really well (and I love them as dancers), but it felt like Jimin's was on a whole other level for them both. My friend and I have a dream dance group going, that definitely includes them both along with Kai (obviously) and some others. Anyway, I'll definitely look at some of your other reactions. I love seeing a dancer/choreographer's feedback on kpop as it's one of the things that drew me in and that I really love about the industry.
