Calligraphy on stage with Taiko and koto music in an amazing performance by Chosho Yabe.
Taiko drummer is Koji Nakamura. Koto is played by Yukiko Matsuyama.
The centerpiece is created by writing the symbol for 'Prayer' in red over and over to form the circle of the Japanese flag.
The side panels had the Kanji symbols for 'Hope' and 'Gratitude' added later.
The Matsuri raised money for the Japanese Red Cross, all entrance fees were donated.
