I was thinking of getting my daughter a Pomeranian but now I want to get her a chow chow lol

Chow-chows are very cat-like, so they tend to be very nickpicking about being very clean. One of the easiest breeds to house break really. They don't like seeing or smelling pee and poo so they'll definitely want to pee and poo outside avoiding making a mess. Good toips shown here. Keep in mind to some, especially the grooming trick.

I recommend you to get a bigger eating bowl for your chow chow so his muzzle has more space to bite down the food

I've grown up with a chow I've had 2 now but it always sucks cause there are no good chow breeders near by so we have to go far away to find chow puppies but its always worth it I love chows.

Do I need to groom my the chow chow like you do? It looks like a lot of work and a lot of time. I don't have so much time for this type of grooming, but I love this dog. What can I do?

Never never ever ever use a hair dryer on a Chow Chow. It damages the hair dries it out and dries out the skin. FYI 1/2 cup of cooked sweet potatoes Added to your dog's dinner will give a lusterous beautiful coat. In order to achieve that coat the diet must be high in amino acids. I'm raising my 5th Chow. My last 2 chows lived to 15 and 16 years respectively. I give my c Chow a warm meal every night : ½ cup cooked white rice ½ cup cooked sweet potatoes ¼ cup cooked broccoli ¼ cup canned peas 8 oz of cooked ground beef 1 sliced hard boiled egg ½ cup no salt beef broth My Chow gets a light brushing and a 5 mile walk everyday. As a result, I have a very healthy 6 year old Chow Chow that is huge, 27" at the withers and 105 lbs. He is purebred and is quite larger than the AKC standard. I believe that's partly because of genetics, exercise and a healthy diet. He never throws up, gets sick or have intestinal problems. Sometimes us old folks just know what we're talking about. 😂😂😂

I’m getting a 3 year old chow chow that’s being rehoused to me for free 🥺🤞🏽 he lives two hours away from me and his current owners giving him away because she says he’s snippy with her 4 year old daughter and she’s expecting a baby. Any advice 😭 I have a 5 year old son I’m confident it’ll work and he’ll be a great addition to my family ❤️
