Chowmein Recipe:
Noodles:
Noodles - 1 Packet
Water - For Boiling
Salt - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Masala:
Cabbage (julienne) - ¾ Cup
Carrot (julienne) - ½ Cup
Beans (julienne) - ½ Cup
Capsicum (julienne) - ½ no.
Onion (julienne) - 1 no.
Spring Onion (batons) - 2 tbsp + ¼ Cup
Ginger (finely chopped) - ½ tbsp
Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
Green Chilli (slit) - 1 no
Vinegar - ½ tsp
Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Sauce - 2 tsp
Green Chilli Sauce - 1 tsp
Tomato Ketchup - 2 tbsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp
MSG - ¼ tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cooking Instructions:
1. Cook the noodles as per packet instructions, boiled in salted water with oil for 4-5 mins until tender but not overboiled.
2. Cut all the vegetables as mentioned in the ingredient section. Combine all the sauces and seasoning and set aside.
3. For the preparation, heat oil until almost smoking in a wok, add the ginger, garlic and green chillies, saute until the garlic starts changing colours all the vegetables into the wok saute on a high flame for around 2 mins, add the sauce and mix well.
4. Cook further for 2 mins until the vegetables are tender but still crunchy.
5. Finally add and toss the noodles gently. Finish with the spring onion batons.
