Did you know the CHP has bicycle patrol units (BPU) throughout the state to help secure state buildings and infrastructure? In this VLOG, we highlight the Marin Area BPU and the area they secure, the Golden Gate Bridge.
Thank you for sharing this aspect of the CHP. I like the fact that you have been through crisis training and are there when needs you the most. I wish we had this on our Coronado bridge we have had too many desperate people lately. Thank you for your service to our community. I wish ya'll well
you prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
@Denver Francisco i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
thank you for this important position of Bicycle Patrol. I had no idea it existed...Thank you also to everyone at CHP...appreciate you all so much and thanks for another outstanding video share...
Hats off to you guys. I recall an episode of CHiPs where they tried that and they didn't have anything like what we saw here. Great job, I'd never be able to do those traffic cone maneuvers let alone patrol in a crowd!
Thanks CHP Officer R Es. for this video on the CHP Bicycle Patrol ... I enjoyed learning about this different division of CHP patrols 😎😃👏👏👏💙 Thanks CHP for all you do always 👏👏👏💙💙🙏🙏🙏🙏
Has the CHP ever considered e-bikes? They would increase endurance plus give officers the option to go up to 28 mph when there is a need to respond quickly.
@Will Rivers yes you could do that, except then you either carrying very heavy extra batteries or you're having to return to the station constantly during a shift. Not to mention that the battery is what makes the bikes expensive and extra batteries cost a fortune.
Hello CHP Bike Officers, As I was watching this video and the officers patrolling the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding areas, I thought what a perfect use for e-Bikes⚡ for this area of patrol! If this sounds interesting, go to the International Police Mountain Bike Association's (IPMBA) web site (under E-Bike Resources) for a wealth of information! More and more law enforcement agencies, like LAPD, and other public safety are starting to use e-Bikes everyday! Good luck! Be safe out there! L O L, I love these videos, but one thing is very consistent and almost every video that should be a requirement to be a member of California Highway Patrol, and that is the ability to say the words, California Highway Patrol! Too many officers in these videos say California high patrol Because they’re saying it so fast. sorry guys just a little bit of rib poking lol
Does anyone know what song was used in the intro, it really added to the video. (as well as the music through out. But @CaliforniaHighwayPatrol awesome infromational video.
Now legally you don't have to yield to those bikes cuz it doesn't have a flashing amber in the back end Hilo tone is not legal in the state of California
Ok, as cool and awesome as this is I would still be hella pissed if i got pulled over in a car by a bike... since bikes are technically vehicles and they have a forward solid red and all that...
