Lyrics: Hal David Music: Burt Bacharach Arrangement: Brad Dechter 1.07. 2011, Warsaw The Beginning of Poland's EU Presidency Performers: Lisa Fischer, Sinfonia Varsovia Conductor: Adam Sztaba
Hands down baby, Lisa Fischer's voice, control, style, prowess and delivery are nothing near secondclass or rate. She soars everytime she takes to the mic and stage. So many years after "So Intense" and her vocals are still whistle clean, vanguard and sharp as a razor. I had always been so enamoured with the numbers she performed and interpreted on her debut album!" Last Goodbye" and "Chain of Broken Hearts" were on constant repeat back in the day by me. And here's why! This songstress as far as I am concerned must have been conceived in the Heavens. For she shines ever so brightly. She only could have sprung from the camp of one of the finest: Mr. Luther Vandross. Thank you sir for prodding her into the foreground and out of the shadows of background singing! I love you, Lisa! Keep beaming your effervescent yet mellow light and spirit into the world of music! I am truly in awe, Wildflower. From one singer in my humble, beautiful land of Jamaica there are few voices so sultry and unspoiled as is the phenomenon of yours! Born to sing, you were. And till Shiloh, live to sing to our sweetly to our souls!
OMG ⭐️ Outstanding performance by ALL , especially Chris Botti and the AMAZING VOCAL SKILLS of Lisa Fischer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing collaboration here ⭐️ BRAVO ⭐️ deserved a standing O !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
+Angel Esprit ok this a bit unrelated but felt like I needed to tell someone the trumpet player Chris Botti here is about 50 years old. He looks soooo young.
Until now, my favorite version of this song was done by Isaac Hayes. I still love his version But, you put your WHOLE FOOT in this!!! Yep, I'm going "old-school"!!!
That was the coolest arrangement of The Look of Love that I've ever heard/seen. Whoa! Saw these guys last summer in Deer Valley, Utah. That was a happy day! :) Thanks for uploading this, @profesor5555!
Voices Shatter Glass and Cause Joyous Tears to Flow as One Stutters! Namaste SisStar Goddess! Honoring Gentle-Man Botti and everyone present! Blessings for the post Sir.
Lisa backed Luther Vandross, left the Stones wallowing in her wake and has now become one of the greatest jazz singers to ever grace our planet. Truly goose bump material.
@Dissily Mordentroge Lisa Fischer is not just a Jazz Singer. Her talent is that she is a versatile and has given virtuoso performances in R&B, Classical and Rock Music. She can't be pigeon holed in one genre - this does her a disservice.
@@sylviamaua745 Did I pigeon hole her? I'm well aware her very early training was as a classical mezzo soprano and that her range is staggeringly extensive. Take for instance her performance of ‘Dambala’ a few years ago at the Albert Hall concert in honour of Nina Simone.
@@dissilymordentroge5818 by claiming Lisa Fischer is "one of the greatest jazz singers" you certainly are pigeon-holing her. She does not compare with Jazz Greats Dee Dee Bridgewater or Diane Reeves who have more than 40 years of Jazz recordings. I have seen also your comments on Lisa Fischer's training as a Classical Mezzo-soprano. Her talents are unique and multifaceted across several musical genres, her few recordings and early career are in R&B music like her mentor Luther Vandross. Her early training was steeped in Gospel Music from the church like many African-American singers.
Chris not to is very good/excellent musician he plays with some of the most beautiful people and plays his horn with dignity/pride just love him and yes I do have his cds
I have seen her live ...in a smaller jazz club with her backing band " Grand Baton " 13 May 2016; the place were jam-packed and they were a big success with all of us there; I was sitting at a table neck and neck with the stage so if I had stretch out my arm I could have touched her feet ( bare feet )...everyone got a hug and a photo with her if they wanted afterwards...it is an intimate place so that works there, I had to stand in line 20 minutes before my turn. JCs guitar playing is very colorated, that is something you don´t hear so much in the iphone videos that turn up with them on youtube. It was very nice to hear them so close up, it was like sitting in Lisa´s lap...can it be better!? I can tell you she is a tough chick...all from tender whispering that gives you the goosebumps to roaring bombardments that wakes every fiber in your body. The band is great to say the least. Now soon on the 27:nth of aug 2016 they will be playing in Italy on the final day of a festival called " La Notte della Taranta " in Melpignano; 2015 there were 200.000 ( two hudred thousand ! ) people there, and they cover it with two TV channels and one radio channel...Lisa says she is so exited to play there. Hoping for the best...people want to get in trance there...so give it your all!!
Heard her live in Sydney last year - utterly mind-blowing! Surely the worlds most underrated female vocalist. We should have seen her coming though when she left the Stones floundering in her wake all those years ago and blew my mind out with her version of 'How Can I Heal The Pain'.
JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOU HAVE HEARD IT ALL - A VOICE FROM JAZZ HEAVEN DESCENDS UPON RU-vid AND TUNES-UP MY LAPTOP LIKE NO OTHER SINGER IN I DON'T KNOW WHEN . THERE IS A GOD AND HE IS A JAZZ LOVER. RR. THE LOOK OF LOVE

ANYONE KNOWING HER SINGING ROOTS - PLEASE SCHOOL ME CAUSE I AM BLOWN AWAY - THE VOCAL MATCH OF CHRIS BOTTI'S HORN RR
