Kids should be allowed to go straight to the NBA out of high school, but instead of going to the NBA, I think they should let them play 2 years of D-league first to test them and see if they are good enough. It good will be good for NBA and D-league.

therealestmc85 I agree but if we allowed this, trust me that a lot of these kids would come straight out of high school as opposed to going to college. If most of these kids go to college to be one and done, what makes you think they really want to college in the first place. Also, the NBA is filled with too many young inexperience players and we don't need more of them, we need veterans.

9xxxxxxxxx NBA all time stats are owned by people who play the longest. Kareem has played like 1560 games played compared to jordans 1072. That's why when you look at pers and comparisons of per game and playoff numbers, relative to the time it took, MJ destroyed the numbers and stats. If MJ has a career with games played like Kobe or Malone or Kareem or even Lebron when he's done he would have amassed over 40k scoring and ended up #1 in steals. But he didn't, he had a short career and yet every time you see a record, Jordan is there.

Yes it does... Regardless of what you think, the jealousy is real. Had good family upbringing, financial stability, and moderately educated. other athletes dont believe they worked as hard as they worked. And the real truth is most urban African Americans see their skin tone and call them "Not really black" Austin Rivers although he didnt perform well received this treatment as well...

They do need to change the NCAA rules though. There are college players who declare for the NBA draft and get cut during tryouts or months after being drafted. They lose their rights to go back to college but they never even played a NBA game.

If the lakers think lonzo really wants to play for them, I would draft fultz (if celtics don't draft him) then if lonzo lands, pursued him in free agency after his rookie contract expires. He probably won't make a significant impact in his first four years anyway. If each player has a 50% chance of landing, you may get two good guards out of one draft with the #2 pick. If you get lonzo and he flops, fultz hasn't shown extreme interest in playing for the lakers. But the celtics should no doubt draft the player they think is the best in this draft or trade the pick.

Russell and Steph don't get criticized as much for their poor play (when it rarely happens) from the media like other players do. The media talks more about how the Hawks' players hate Russ/Pete Carroll for it. Steph doesn't get killed for his on ball defense but players like Harden do. This is the fundamental reason why people don't like them. Not them personally but the reaction that they get from the powers that be. Perhaps, them being "burbs kids" translates more to them being more accepted by society and less about why people don't like them.

Connor Finnerty I think he means the fact that in football there's a tendency to split the teams into offense and defence both on and off the court. So you have your offensive leader like the quarterback and the defensive leader on the other side. It's commonly know that the defensive side Of The Seahawks does not like Russel Wilson so Colin is making the comparison since the defense is a team by itself. Probably wrote to much don't know if it makes sense.

Ok look It's simple. Curry is the kid at the court who when you check the ball, he immediately jacks up a shot. Even if it goes in, it's not respected. Thats his style of play. Dude literally throws up some of the wildest shots I've ever seen. And they happen to fall. His game is one dimensional and the players of the past and his peers don't respect him for that nor do they like the praise he gets for it. He's not even the best point guard in the league, let alone player. Hints why lebron felt so disrespected last year.

not a fan of either team.... if Cleveland can steal a game in the first two in Oracle... Cleveland in Six... if Warriors win the first two in Oracle and steal one in Cleveland.... Warriors in five.... if both teams defend home court after the first four and the series is tied at 2-2.... best 2 out of 3... I would take Warriors in seven....

How is it better for the NBA if Cleveland win? Personally I think it is terrible because Cleveland damn near took half the season off and went 51-31. If they win it proves the regular season doesn't matter and it will effect how teams play out their season next year. Games we would look forward to seeing won't be worth watching because Super Star players will opt to rest like Lebron did verse the Clippers on prime time tv this past season and the NBA ratings will tumble. I know someone will comment back that Kerr rested his players against the Spurs but if you watched the game you would have noticed Popavich rested his guys too and it was bad for the league because that game was also on prime time tv. Both those teams finished with over 60 wins by remaining competitive throughout the year. That's why I am rooting for GSW because I would to watch the best players compete against one another opposed to them resting for the playoffs because they feel regular season doesn't matter.

TheXStationMaster The last 5 Warriors wins over the Cavs have been by an average of 25.2 pts. When they beat them, it's usually a blowout. And when both teams are at full strength, the Warriors have dominated the Cavs over the last 3 years. If no key player gets injured, it's a sweep or it's 5 games. Max!

Blitzboy27212 Couple things.. 1) The Cavs were never up 2-0 in 2015. They were up 2-1. Then they lost 3 straight to lose the finals. 2) The Warriors were missing their starting center for 3 of those last 5 games and also Draymond for one of those 3. Which means... 3) both teams were healthy only 2 out of the last 5 games they played. If you want to talk about the Cavs having injuries, then you can't ignore the Warriors injuries. So like I said... WHEN BOTH TEAMS ARE HEALTHY... the Warriors have dominated the Cavs. So NOT INCLUDING 2015 finals, the healthy Warriors have won 5 out of the last 7 matchups against the healthy Cavs. They won those 5 games by 35pts, 9pts, 33pts, 15pts, and 34pts. That's an average of 25.2pts. So again... Whenever the Warriors beat the Cavs, it's usually a blowout. And EVEN if you take out ALL of the injuries and just focus on THIS year with THESE current teams. Cavs won by 1 point in Cleveland when the refs admitted they missed that last foul call on Jefferson. And then the Warriors BLEW THE CAVS OUT by 35 in Oakland. Either way. Dubs in 4 games. 5 max!

The problem I have with this is the point Chris want to make about black ppl not necessarily appreciating a black male who comes from a good home not acting a fool publicly. My push back is Kyrie Irving, who plays directly against Steph, is Well loved as respected had the same upbringing but where's the animosity? Both Steph and R. Wilson are good players that benefited greatly from the teams they were on period. His point about the sucker punch is all that is true. How can u be the MVP but not that best player on ur team is the only issue other players have with those 2 guys

I'm all for the 2 and done minimum or no college option for players. The 1 and done is just another way for college's to exploit players. Not all players want to go to college, so don't make them, but most of them should because almost none of them have ever been ready out of high school, Lebron being the notable exception.

If I am the Lakers I wouldn't trade anything for Ball. If the Celtics want to draft ball let them. The Lakers can get faults or Fox. Let the Celtics explain drafting a person who doesn't want to be there. Even if the Celtics say they are drafting Ball if I am the Lakers I would give anything up to try and get the number one pick.
