@@qstylezhairboutique8951women are never held accountable for anything. Even if their behavior started the whole thing. The world consistently gives yall a pass. And dumps everything on us.
You can tell in Chris’ eyes that this was hard for him to talk about in detail to the world. You can tell he’s still shocked the incident happened. When you become the person you swear you won’t be… it kills you inside. What’s worst is, this will be the incident that the world will continue to bring up. So glad he is continuing to thrive 🙏🏼
@@Chop2016 yeah because Rihanna is so sweet and innocent…. SHE NEVER LAID A FINGER ON HIM. Just look at you. You weren’t even there to see what transpired.
@dalefrancis9414 bro for real , this dude pouring his bare soul of what happened and taking responsibility for it. Yet the ignorant woman cant even see past that. All they can see man hits woman that's it. Man went to court and plead guilty And yet their ignorance shows.
There is always 3 sides to a story, you should not have to hear this to read between the lines..... Bobby & Whitney....Tiger & Elin and the list goes on!
@@swinnerd Yes and no, of course a lot of people like to bring up what happened even now. Also the media basically refuses to play his music or promote him because of this event. He still has a large fan base and people still listen to his music a lot but, it isn't getting crazy recongnition because again the media will not promote it and that is why he is never a part of award shows because its controversial. Personally, he is my favorite artist and I know a lot of people who still listen to him
I watched this when it came out on Netflix. I love me some Chris Brown. They were both wrong, but he was the only one that took all the blame. I will always continue to follow his music❤
he pleaded guilty and he's literally admitting to what he did. dont be ignorant. she hit him, he hit her. they both apologized and were held accountable. what more do you want from him or them@@Sssteelo
i love the way he says she reacted like that because she was upset and he didn’t play victim at all. they were both just too young and didn’t heal from their childhood traumas. i love them both as a human being.
@@vanessacosta4906 Chris said so in an interview. He couldn't release it without her permission. He wanted to make sure Rihanna was okay with it first. I don't spread fake stories, I have better things to do.
He has my total respect. I see why people don't completely write him off. He's vulnerable and telling the truth...even when it hurts like hell. Rather have ugly truth than a beautiful lie ❤🙏

After watching this i realise that judging someone without hearing a full story can really change an outcome in your mind. Chris Brown is not a monster hes just another person from a broken home trying to find his way through all the chaos. What transpired that night was very unfortunate but his remorse , in my mind makes him a real man . He made a big mistake but he owned it and has for the most part come through it and i hope the world that condemns him watches this so they can see the hurt and pain , the truth and maybe finally forgive him.

It's always 2 sides to any story and I'm so glad he spoke out because he's no longer in captivity into a world of guilt but instead he can feel free and no longer weighed down. But it’s clear he kept looking at her multiple times and only at her then looks in other directions. You know damn well if it was you he was looking at instead of her you wouldn’t be making this argument.
They were in a co abusive relationship that stemmed from the abuse they witnessed growing up. They're both in a better place now that they've matured and moved on. Everyone should too
Yeah, except this was in 2010, and there have been many more allegations and even a restraining order against Chris Brown. He hasn't changed or learned shit.
mokachyna22 no he did not. Pll made rumors abt it and even Karrueche denied them. He learned his lesson and if he didn’t his ass would be right back in jail for longer
It really breaks my heart that this still haunts him. I can’t imagine the world judging me for something I did so young. May God cover him in grace and grant him peace. He is so loved.
that's what breaks your heart? what should break your heart is the pain that he has inflicted on rihanna and still continues to inflict on numerous women.

@Mona Noella. I remember she didn't tell it all since it was her cousin's business but she definitely spilled that Rih would hit Chris first every time and that's how shit would start. Noella would be the cousin to know too since she was around them a lot. Like in Barbados during Christmas time, I guess Rih got mad at Chris about something and she slapped him and he just looked at her like she was crazy so she slapped him again. Noella had to stop the fight before it got worse. There was a lot of stories back then and of course you never knew if the stories were true or not but Noella did feel bad for Chris because she always thought Chris was head over heels in love with her cousin and she didn't want Rih to run him off.
@Mona And I know you didn't ask but it's crazy because Chris actually just posted Noella and some of Rih's other cousins on his IG story a few days ago. It was a clip of them listening to his song on IG live. They're all still so supportive of him. Noella said "Chris! that's family, always."
That was hella deep n real. Gotta give him props for owning his shit, having a lot of insight and having the courage to share his traumatic past. Big ups Chris!
Y’all are making this a “take Rihanna or Chris’s side” thing. It’s not. It’s an abusive relationship between 2 ppl who have healed and are continuing to heal from it. Both were wrong.
I’ve always adored Chris Brown. Now I understand what happened back in the day with the battery against Rhianna. I believe they still love one another but know they’re in different spaces in their lives. His story hits home. I also believe his account of what transpired and I’m glad he took ownership of his actions. That situation is a nightmare for both but will serve as a lesson to everyone involved as to when a relationship becomes toxic.

doesn’t matter who started it, it was fault on both sides. it’s crazy how the media puts all the blame on chris. these 2 were in a bad toxic relationship.
After hearing this, I now see Rihanna was just as in the wrong as he was. It shows just how young men's lives can get destroyed due to these double standards. I feel bad for what he's gone through.
I have been a chris Brown fan since run it. At 15, I am now 35, and I'm still a huge fan. When this went down, I was devastated, but still. Supported him. Brought his music went to his concerts. Seeing him suffer all those years broke my heart. But as his fan, I stayed loyal. Never bashed him. Always been inlove with His music, him as an artist saved my life. 😢❤❤
Just pray this never happens to anyone, not even those hating him like he’s some monster…he’s been underrated all these years despite his enormous success and pure talent as an artiste and a person!!..his simply the best because he keeps it positive and stays happy regardless!!..that’s not something that’s easy to do being him and everything he’s been through.

I don't think so, Jay-Z had a million dollar compaby Chris Brown only his music carrier Beyoncé has a whole movement of people not to forget her role in the music and acting industrie long before Rihanna even started acting Not to mention her clothing line and her husband and hers influence on charities and what not
Much respect to Chris Brown. I to experienced domestic violence at the lowest point in my life, when my father passed because I felt like I had NOBODY and I needed HIM. I witnessed the abuse 1st hand of my father abusing my mother, putting a gun to her head saying DON'T MAKE ME DO THIS!! It took me YEARS to acknowledge MY worth after years of depression and anxiety. So Chris I appreciate his honesty in taking responsibility for his actions.
❤ this man even more now! I hate it had to come to that, but glad he fessed up, seen his faults, recognized that their relationship was toxic, and took full responsibility!
Aaliyah Z he took all the blame cause HE the one who beat her half to death not the other way around! And she never made him out to be a monster, HE DID THAT HIMSELF. She actually defended the bastard.
Alexa Smith What he did to Riri is true and he was wrong. But he didn't do anything to Kerruche(I don't know the correct spelling). She just made up rumors to come back into the spotlight which she lost after breaking up with Chris. Chris even said that he's going to fight back because he knows he didn't do anything. He remembers the consequences he had to face after the Riri incident.
While I am exceedingly proud of Rihanna and Rocky's beautiful relationship, I am equally sad that Chris and Rihanna's relationship ended as violently as it did. What a powerful couple - THE POWER COUPLE - they could have been by this time. I sincerely hope that both of them have received extensive therapies. This is the sort of drastic and unfortunate situation in which many couples have found themselves. Thank God that Rihanna was able to summon the strength to finally escape when she did - for the sake of both of them. Possibly two of the most gifted and talented people God ever created. One of the saddest stories ever. I'm a grown man crying like a baby right now - all these years later.
I hope healing continues to go well for him & Rihanna, fan of both. Been almost 3 years since I ended my 8 yrs relationship and I’m still struggling. Every day is a challenge but I’m fighting to stay strong. U can love someone from afar and be ok with that. Everyone struggling plz don’t give up ❤️

Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street. Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand. Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it. Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness. She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions. Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order.
@@crispyclay a report that was made by Rihanna not so? Coz the police weren’t there to confirm it. And Rihanna gave permission to Chris to do this documentary and narrate what truly happened almost 10 years later 3) his narration fits perfectly with the injuries she has suffered 4) Rihanna’s cousin came out and said she WAS abusive towards Chris
JustAloyal shoebill she never said that Rihanna should go back to a toxic relationship. She just said you can see and hear the raw emotion. Now need to be an ass🤦🏿♀️🙄
Because thats what he wanted to achieve with this documentary. He is just justifying himself so his fans still love him and keep on buying his music. And all these emotions you feel, that's exactly what he or the make of the documentary wants you to feel. And that's just an example in this documentary they use a lot of stylistic devices and techniques to make you feel a certain way. That's how they make money and sell their documentaries.
Growing up in a violent home changes you. It puts rage and hate in a child-- I was 21 before I realized it wasn't normal to physically fight at home. And I made it a point to never raise my kids like that, or have them see it-- I'm 46 now, and through years of paying attention there are still little things that pop up. In relationships I over the years I've learned to recognize some things, even little things that I do that are wrong or almost as bad. It took years of me being around healthy people, having healthy friendships to learn how to love back and how to accept love back, and sometimes I still stumble- I needed all the love I had around me to pull me back on track. It's probably a lifelong process to removing all the residual damage toxic people do to you. I hear the responsibility but I don't hear all the self love he deserves to find, hopefully there's more than just the clip I see. But he's not evil, and he's not his stepfather. I hope he is able to surround himself with love and forgive himself so he can heal. ❤
I can't stop fighting and I don't know how to. Im losing all my mates coz they don't argue like my family does or fight like we do, everybody would rather not talk about issues but I wanna hash it out right then and there. And when they don't want to it only gets me more revved up. How did you learn to control the pent up anger
@arloking I had to make myself stop talking. No matter how mad I was or what was going on, I'd refuse to talk for at least two hours, even if it meant leaving where I was. Going for a drive, plugging in my headphones was my life saver. I kept on until I could not deal with it for a day. In a days time, you'd be amazed at what you're really not even mad about-- and I had to cut some people loose. Now I'm almost the opposite, I can go too long without talking-- but it's because I found peace in my head. Meditation worked wonders. But people that push buttons, I had to get rid of people like that. And it took years. I'm 47, and I got into a huge fight with one of my friends roomates-- but this chick was drunk and hella agressive and just set off all the bells-- I'm still not perfect. I also surrounded myself with people that don't fight or like fighting either. I'm still a work in progress, but I started small. Hold it for two hours-- which is easier than it sounds. Lol Having kids made a difference too. I didn't want them growing up in an environment like I grew up in. My daughter probably made the biggest become I'd never forgive myself if she recreated the house I grew up in, and kids have a tendency to do that. As far as the inner anger, I feel like my mom was naive and gullible and for the most part got taken advantage of. She should've done more to protect us, but I dunno- it was a different time. My dad I just don't see, he's nobody to me. Just not allowing myself to keep being mad at him killed a lot of the anger I had. I don't even hate him anymore-- it's just nothing. I heard he was dying, had his legs amputated -- and my next thought was what I wanted for dinner. I guess it starts with flipping your mindset. I can't let anything control me but me-- certainly not anger. Boxing and martial arts problem helped too.
@@skepchica Thanks heaps for replying. I appreciate you sharing. Yeah i dunno, my mums a full blown narcissist and bipolar and shit so she fucked my head up from a young age just being manipulative as fuck and lying and turning my siblings and i on each other playing the blame game all the time, which would always turn into arguments and then her becoming physical more often than not. I'm 22 now and I still struggle to not lose my shit, and when I do get real angry I just fuckin redline it and all I can do is name call and get real fuckin low sometimes, it's almost like I can't control it, I know I wanna shut my mouth but I feel like I'm being pushed to the fuckin limit and just can't hold back. I know what needs to be done and it's all me but fuck sakes it's not easy aye. Anyways, again, appreciate your reply. Good luck w everything. Love from Australia fam
@arloking Not even e exaggerating, I used to feel like there was electricity running through me when I got mad. And if you were close you could feel the heat coming off me. That's what hate feels like. But I also got to a point where I'd started getting terrible migraines, and I know that had a lot to do with it. If I'd ignored that and kept going, I could've had a heart attack by now. Stress is terrible for your body.
don't ignore the fact that rihanna's cousin came out & said she was absuive towards chris. it doesn't mean that he's in the right, but he took full responsibility and didn't try to blame her. edit: they were both wrong, equally. she went & got the media and court on her side, and he took the blows and moved on instead of trying to argue about it.
man the way he is narrating it.. rihanna seems to be really toxic when she’s mad.. same with him.. glad they broke up.. now both are in a better place ..
God Bless you Chris Brown. I pray for your peace and happiness. You paid for your mistakes and I wish nothing but the best going forward. You have much talent and a lot to give the world.
@@milesmorales6305 tbh I don't consider myself as being a good person and if I had been in that situation I'd totally do the same, I feel like he may just have been smart enough to understand that there is no point in fighting back or running away when they were one of the hottest celebrity couples back then and when her face quite litterally is proof. I aint saying that that is the case I obviously don't know what he was thinking at the time, but I'm just saying if I had been him and even if I didn't feel any regret at the time I'd probably turn myself in and plead guilty. I wouldn't hit my girl to the point her face looks like that in the first place though so I guess there is no point speculating.
I feel you Chris. I made the same mistake through emotion and it's a mistake that I can't ever forget because it's not me. Thank you for sharing these thoughts.
As a woman who has experienced domestic violence, I really appreciate his raw honesty. Its nice to hear a man take responsibility for his actions, and truly be sorry for what he did. He's not placing blame on Rihanna, and that says so much about who he is as a man.
Titan Hitchins aye but my mistakes are normally forgetting to buy milk when it’s out of date. Not smacking me partner about when am angry. Some things you can’t apologise for and they can’t be forgiven. This is one of them
Still love you both. Glad to see the after effects of this outcome as the years passed by. Y'all came right around from this beautifully. I'm proud to the both of you for over coming this. Their will always be those wounds and those scars emotionally....after the healing...im glad y'all are coming back from this in a happier way especially through yalls music.
Right. I wish more people took domestic abuse from both sides seriously. Respect needs to be mutual. I just hate that this whole situation happened and hope they both continue to grow and do well.
Chris was 19 years old and everybody threw him under the bus. While full grown men with a history of abuse went unaccounted for. Charlie sheen and R. Kelly to name a few
@@chinacassidy9190 Teens are immature and need guidance not the world and perfect adults destroying them for making mistakes. Especially when both are accountable for their actions (Chris brown and Rihanna) Society only want to hold males accountable (especially black males) and give females excuses. Everyone should be held accountable for their actions but everything should be age appropriate also.
I agree that to an extent their age needs to hold some bearing but we all know right from wrong, even as teens. This is such basic stuff, "don't put your hands on people." Female or male. And if he hadn't continued his abusive behavior in every relationship following this incident, I'd likely have little to say. But, he hasn't changed.
My heart breaks watching this the same way I hurt when I saw her pics and her interview with Oprah. I know they still love each other. They realize they are better as friends.
If you hit a man expect him to hit back. Men are not punching bags 😔I really think Ri should've openly been accountable for her part in this. I say this as a Fan of Ri. Her behaviour was not okay.
No its not that way at all, we are stronger and physically tougher. Most of the time the girl isnt even a threat. If you are not at risk of serious injury you dont hit back, period. You dont go beating the shit out of anyone, man or woman, just because they hut you. If you are not in jeopardy it is not justified. This it 2021, we are not children, we are adults. Act like it. You outgrow pointless vioñence when you turn like 6
❤ Rihanna-Phenominal, beautiful, talented woman. ❤ Chris Brown-Phenomenal, talented, handsome man. I think that they both are people that experienced trauma in their past the negatively impacted there relationship. They both made mistakes. Im glad that things didn't escalate further than they alreafy did. I truly think they truly loved & still love each other. I wish that things had worked out differently for those two.
Chris Brown has a very extensive violent history, not just the Rihanna incident. He’s stalked and threaten to kill women before, got discharged from rehab because he threw a rock in his mom’s car window when she was visiting, and has had multiple restraining orders filed against him. Guy is a piece of shit, plain and simple.
Regardless of his actions being wrong, women need to be held accountable for their actions to. To many toxic women who physically assault men and its not cool. Its a dangerous game.
Honestly I relate to so much he is saying. Amazing person to have come through the other side of the trauma he endured as a child like so many who go unnoticed ❤
I use to like Rihanna but she has gone so low class. I lost respect for her.. Has noticing to W Chris, no one can deny that she a wild women I've seen her get very verbal abuse with others. Chris you just prove to me you are a big MAN for sharing your story, so proud of you it take guts don't give up Chris you have that little girl to her
Don’t claim you care about domestic abuse and equality if you only demonise Chris and not Rihanna. I love them both, but they were toxic to each other. They could’ve been a happy couple but they didn’t meet at the right time of their lives. I’m not justifying Chris’s actions, but I also don’t ignore Rihanna’s part either. Edit: I admit I come off as tone deaf to the incident and for that, I should clarify that I’m speaking exclusively about the relationship before the incident. I will never justify or dismiss the incident because it (nor Chris) should not have gone that far and Rihanna did not deserve a beating no matter how she behaved/reacted etc. My problem is some of you have no problem demonizing Chris (as you should, because what he did horrible) but yet turn a blind eye to how toxic that relationship was to begin with on *both* ends. One was abusive, and the other was jealous. I don’t need to emphasize who was worse for obvious reasons but let’s not pretend it was peaches and cream and act shocked that it happened.
@@meganmarino2012 that’s true that it can be one sided, but this relationship in particular was toxic from both ends. Chris was just the one who retaliated in the absolute worse way.
@ChrisBrezzyChannel Love you CB. You've always been one of my very favourite artists & always will be. This incident is in the past. You've spoken about it 100% honestly now everyone needs to move on. Please tour Melbourne, Australia sometime soon. Best wishes always. ~Nick James.
Thank you for sharing your experience and exspressing your thoughts..I would love to meet you and understand more of your thoughts and exspression of life and how you truely feel❤🎶
I’m so glad he has gotten a chance to tell his side and he accepted his mistake because we all make them …. And grow from it and I think it made him an better man, son and father….
The fact that he went straight to the cops to plead guilty says it all about him. He's not lying not one bit in this video. Respect the hell out of him.
So he’s not lying because he confessed to what he did ? Which Rihanna’s beaten face could easily prove if he tried to deny it and would further extend into prison time if he attempted to do so ? Why tf would you respect a violent guy like that
They both were in the wrong in this situation. Not to mention they were both extremely young during this time and they both grew up in abusive households. Im extremely happy that this doc came out and im happy that she agreed to it.
Bro I wish people would take into account their abusive households, and their past trauma. Chris brown doesn’t have a malice bone in his body to me. Rihanna and Chris we’re both wrong, but Chris took the wrap, that broke breaks my heart. Chris brown and Rihanna weren’t healed and got thrown into the industry young. We need to allow Chris brown to be seen in a different light. When we don’t heal from our traumas ladies and gentlemen that will show up in our relationships.
People are giving him too many excuses. I didn't know she tried attacking him either, but the fuck? There was a huge difference. They said he even practiced martial arts, he's a dude, he literally beat her ass left and right and people are still crying "I want them to get back together". Some people should avoid reproducing, for the sake of all of humanity.
wrong or not you know as a female if you keep hitting a dude repeatedly instead of keeping your hands to yourself you can enrage a dude and due to that some dudes will defend themselves real shii 💯
yeah that were both wrong but being young and age ain’t gotta do with anything yk your actions and right and wrong. Parents don’t have no influence on anything you do you chose to do what you do right or wrong end of the day.
It took me years to get over this situation with Chris because of my own experience with domestic violence first hand. Outside of the colorist shit I’ve heard from the blogs, I gained a bit of respect for him after watching this. No child should ever have to go through this. Everyone please seek help. Even if you think you’re alright.
@@kingmo8161 frrrr bruh they’ve been on his azz about dis situation for years now and they still sad ash when it’s more shi to be sad about y’all worried about how a man’s relationship went when we prolly would never get the real story cuz the industry is weird ash and it likes internet attention
Even though what Chris did was wrong he still took the high road rather than dragging Rihanna's name down. I really respect him because of that and I know realize it was just a young couple in love
m8 in that situation you have to take the high road lmao. You really think Chris Brown going full offensive after Rihanna situation would had benefit him, lol no. Everyone hated Chris Brown, and I can guarantee if he tried dragging Rihanna name down, It would only worsen Chris brown much more.
lol I bet you consider yourself a feminist, yet.....you’re searching for a way for this to be excusable. I’d suggest you go and look at the pics of her after he was done beating her down. You’re a fucking idiot.
They are both at fault. They both hit each other.what you basically saying is that a female can hit a male without doing any damage. Now I am not saying what Chris brown did was right, because what he did was bad asf but how you gon blame only one person but they both hit each other?
@@vivi7405 and Rihanna too, all those years he took all the blame when she also did shit to hurt him. both of them were toxic. both did fucked up and shit. and thats the end of it.
