We do own a hairstyle. Study African American history before saying something. First off, Who banned these hairstyles from us black people? White people! And guess why? Cause it was seen as “ghetto”…oh but now people want to wear it? Weird. This is cultural appropriation

​@@intakvr8758 It is cultural appropriation when elements of a minority group in an exploitative, disrespectful way. Literally it all depends on the intention behind it. These hairstyles have always been worn by Europeans, since time began… maybe with fashion phases they've become more popular and with a little influence from Jamaican culture but hippies were ‘dreadding’ their hair since the sixties. Cultural appropriation is a very difficult issue to nail down. If you're going to ask Europeans to stop dreadding their hair, are you going also ask all non-Europeans to stop dying their hair blonde or straightening it? It's an endless and thankless task trying to police the worlds freedoms. What I'm trying to say is that while yes, cultural appropriation is a huge issue and I understand how disrespectful and inconiderate it is to history It is going to be very hard to categorize what is cultural appropriation and what's not so i say let's leave him be because he does not seem to want to mock anyone's culture. Obviously black fishing is another matter on the whole run but i say let people do whatever the hell they want with heir hair as long as it is educated and not meant to hurt anyone.
