Chris will go down as the biggest “what if” in Music history. The torch for “best artist in the world” was supposed to go from Michael Jackson to him. Even Justin Timberlake saw the writing on the wall at VMA 2007. The love, respect, and admiration we give to Beyoncé. Chris deserved that. And all of his hits the last 10 years would’ve been higher on the charts

Chris has done more after Rihanna ish. Disney don’t take the chance specially with us. The producers should’ve cleared it with the heads before embarrassing him smh

That’s honestly not her place, and it’s not selfish of her. She already had closure with the situation and has even publicly supported him multiple times over the years and people just don’t seem to care. They’ll just call her a disgrace just as they did when it was announced that she was having Johnny Depp in her show, and just as they expressed disappointment in Kelly Rowland and Ciara for supporting Chris.
Why was he even asked in the first place? MJ the Musical which is a Tony Award Winning Tribute to MJ (EVERY NIGHT) Should have been the ones to do it in the first place. Why in the world would they think that the AMA audience, the same audience that made Rihanna one of the most awarded AMA recipients of all time, would just be cool with that?!? That it wouldn't bring up Rihanna, Karruche, Frank Ocean, Mike G, his colorist comments and lyrics...there was no thought in this.

Regarding to the AMA’s incident, I feel like it wasn’t just about Chris. I think they didn’t wanna honor mike anymore. Or it’s bringing to much attention to black excellence and they want to focus on non black people winning these awards. That documentary really affected the MJ brand (in a sense) and probably at the last minute they had people not wanting the tribute. It’s all politics, similar what the Grammys tried to do with Nicki.
These major platforms are picking and choosing when to cancel our culture. I hope people are keeping tabs of this repetitive behavior across many industries and starting to shift the mindset to building and investing in our own spaces and talents. Just sayin…
