Wow. Very sad seeing someone celebrating a flip. My first flip was Newman in 2020. I guess seeing something like that keeps celebrating potential injuries.
my first flip was technically Harrison Burton's flip this year. although had to see it on the replay because you cant really see the back stretch from where we were sitting

While flips are cool once you know the driver is safe, fans who go to only see wrecks are the worst kind of fans. Go watch a demolition derby if thats what you're interested in. Go to see the great racing, but if you're going hoping and wanting a flip to happen, or if that's something that you've been wanting to see in person for a long time, then you're in the sport for the wrong reasons. Yes the wrecks are exciting, but there exciting because they're potentially dangerous. If there wasn't the possibility of someone getting hurt then who tf cares, just go watch a demolition derby if you want to watch metal just get destroyed. That being said, who am I to be the moral arbiter of NASCAR fans. I guess the drivers know what they sign up for.
See that’s the thing, I don’t want to know there are gonna be crashes, I like the chance that there are crashes, I love the hard racing to, the race was amazing in terms of racing best Coke 600 in a long ass time
😅Guilty as Charged, I’ve been wanting to see a flip at a nascar race for so long, I’m aware he could have been hurt, but in the heat of the moment I was freaking out like, holy crap I finally seen a flip. Glad Chris was ok I would have felt terrible otherwise.
Imagine cheering at a crash and your argument being "car safe, crash gud" Watching motorsports for the crashes is the worst way to warch motorsports Also so what if the cars are safe dosent mean they are bulletproof a fatality can still easily happen even in this day and age
I can choose to watch Motorsports the way I want to watch Motorsports, if you don’t like it I guess you can go cry me a river, The cars are safe so I wasn’t worried, not saying something bad can’t happen but I am aware it’s unlikely. I like crashes and if you don’t like it you can get over it. Driver was unhurt, I rest my case.
@@smollerss5229 nah I’m fine. Nothing wrong with me. I’m aware of the safety of nascar and have faith in these cars. I didn’t cheer for Herta when he flipped at Indy because I realized that crash was genuinely bad. This was a simple barrel roll and didn’t worry me.
Nah just excited I finally got to see a flip in person, literally one of the last things on my bucket list when it comes to race, I care about driver safety but I was aware he likely wasn’t hurt, but in that moment I was excited, if he had been hurt I’d never have uploaded the video and I would have felt terrible
I’m still a very big fan but I do have to say nascar has become such a shit sport ever since Winston left. Nextel sucked at it and monster energy was even worse. They are falling so far off from how and where the sport began I realize you have to keep up with the times and all but nascar has seriously fallen off the rails. As William Byron said after his crash Sunday night “you can’t even drive these cars sideways alittle sideways the right rear steps out and you’re junk”
@@Tixio_T William Isn’t the only one that’s said something about these NextGen cars. You can tell from most of the drivers attitudes how they feel about it. That whole underbelly diffuser is in my opinion one of the biggest mistakes they made. We’re not Indy, we’re not Formula one. We are nascar, you can’t fault a driver for whining when there has been issues with these cars especially WHEELS and this new independent suspension system. One small tap of the wall the whole thing is trash I’ve never seen so many loose wheels and toe in and toe outs knocked out of alignment in my 28 years of watching this sport.
@@Tixio_T ok get in one of those cars and let me see you do it better. 90% of them run against the wall so it’s kinda hard not to catch it with a big ass skid plate underneath your car. That has a lot to do with the handling problems these cars have and make them so loose.
Quite being soft, these cars are so safe now it was unlikely he was hurt, he wasn’t so I have nothing to feel bad about. There is nothing wrong with me I just like crashes. If you don’t like it you don’t have to watch it.
mate, quit being dense i cant remember the last time someone got injured from just flipping, infact flipping is way more safer than hitting a wall head on since it distributes the impacts of course it wont be soft impacts, but cmon man do you really think he will get injured from *that?*
