this is the best of mr olympia as big as they are and none of the haters can cry bubble guts these guys were huge and still kept a v taper none in history looked this good with this conditioning
I saw previous show where flex wheeler honestly gave Ronnie a run for the money but in this show it’s not even close. Ronnie is bigger and better proportioned. Flex just did not have a good enough frame he was not wide enough in the shoulders and you could really see it on stage. I didn’t realize how dominant Ronnie actually was until seeing this video.
Unlike Flex or Ronnie, Chris figured out running Cytadren starting 5 wks out from a show dried him out better than anything else and removed alot of pressure of getting it all right at the end using pesky diuretics.
Chris and flex look amazing standing next to each other but when ronnie is put in between them you see that the king was on a completely different level especially when they quarter turned to the rear his glute development was insane in this show
Chris's arms look really suspicious. How can you be peeled all over, and vascular, then have super smooth water balloon looking biceps? We already know Flex has the oil arms. Ronnie has Ronnie in his biceps, no fake crap.
Just watched the 2021 Arnold finals, and no disrespect to today's bodybuilders, but this video just shows how much more amazing '99 Ronnie, Flex, and Chris were compared to Nick, Ian, and Steve of today. Night and day difference.
Right?! Todays guys just for some reason never come in with the same level of conditioning and I don’t know why. I think the last time we saw crazy conditioning was the last showdowns between Ronnie and Jay then things seems to changed to pure mass and size and conditioning dropped off.
@@fartnutssupreme4930 I believe the quality of the muscle has also gone down due to insulin use. They use to use back in the 90s as well but I believe it had just started to take off during the mid or late 90s. Dorian said he used it prior to the 97 Olympia and while he did gain a lot more muscle that it wasn't quality muscle. Less separation between the muscle groups like from the delts and biceps for example. I believe that is why alot of today's bodybuilders look like mutants
The 90s was the greatest decade for bodybuilding today’s Olympia Competitors wouldn’t even make the top 5 Big Ramy would get destroyed by Dorian Yates, Ronnie Coleman and jay cutler and so on..The standards for bodybuilding today is less disciplined they still look amazing but back then they didn’t blast a bunch of steroids like they do today most 90s bodybuilders are still alive today because they did everything correctly
Mannn….Ronnie’s individual posing routine is just awe inspiring. It was more simpler than Flex and Chris…he just came out and shown arguably the greatest physique of all time and basked in the moment, almost gracious in the moment. Really ridiculous conditioning and size….shape and symmetry too. Goat material
Just look at all these gentleman.....damn...the conditioning, muscle separation, shoulder to wait to thigh ratio...........just pure awesomeness, the 90's was stacked with legends. Many were unlucky not to win just because the era was just saturated with awesome physiques. Alas the physiques of today look like lab experiments gone wrong...........just ugly massive physiques. Thanks for the upload.
Watching Ronnie in this gave me chills and reminds me of watching Michael Jordan. Just mind blowing. A whole other level on size, separation, conditioning. Way above the rest. It also highlights how far the standard has dropped since.
@@akbarshaikh477 why is that? Not saying I disagree but you need to see what Ronnie had that flex didn’t and pictures and video don’t do justice you need to be there. If you’s that are commenting have never seen Ronnie up close stop saying who he would lose to based on shitty video quality and pictures. In 99 flex looked great but I think Ronnie was better at prejudging that’s when most shows are won.
Always like flex wheeler, want to see him winning atleast one Mr. Olimpia title but honestly no one can beat this version of king Coleman, no body.. G.O.A.T. king Ron.
That upper body ,the arm and the back of Ronie Coleman is the maximal that bodybuilder can ever reach. His abs is really iconic, what kind of workout to make abs like that. No one in that stage are like that.
Ahhhhh yes, the good ole days when the competitors looked absolutely amazing AND actually did a posing routine. Unfortunately posing has gone by the wayside these days. I really miss seeing the end result of a lot of work on a posing routine.
King Coleman is far superior all day, all night, all year long. Untouchable. His posing is slow and beautiful. More pleasent to watch than Flex disco hip hop dancing on stage with fast posing.
@@badalsinghthakur8442 Look at these pictures and answer honestly if you think Ronnie really won in front of Flex that year ?! Flex in 1999 was the God of bodybuilding but the referees disfavored him as they have done in the past with Mentzer, Nasser, or later with Jay or Victor Martinez at mr. Olympia. The truth is that Ronnie in general was perhaps the best of all time!
I was here, a sophomore in college with a friend-drove into Vegas from Redlands, CA (this was the first one in Vegas-at the mandalay bay), first and only olympia I attended happened to be the most controversial as well as Coleman's first win of 8....the expo before hand was great-met lots of pros-the only person that was not nice was shawn ray-really cocky dude with a 'tude....but all else were nice.
This is probably a controversial opinion, but prime Cormier is IMO better than prime Dexter Jackson, Chris lacked no bodypart at all, he even had good calves, his structure was ideal and his development was very well proportioned. That shape could have been Mr O in the 80s.
Ronnies back was injured before he started bodybuilding..when he was playing football ....and flex had a rare hereditary kidney disease ..that's why the other one came out physical well because he did not have preexisting injuries or sickness before bodybuiding ..
Ronnie is just dominating these guys....Flex wheeler needed to have tighter hamstrings and glutes and a wider rear lat spread. As has been often said, Bodybuilding shows are won from the back...and nobody in history has ever shown a better back side then Ronnie...
Ronnie’s hams and calves weren’t displayed well from the rear at all! They were all good. Flex posed his physique the worst of the three but I’ve always felt he never knew how to select the correct poses or posing routine for his physique.
Você percebe o quanto o Colleman é grandioso quando vê o nível da competição que ele tinha que enfrentar slc, acho que um top 10 dessa época seria MS olimpia hoje
wow incredible. small comment: Even though I am no one to tell Flex how to pose but I feel like that he cud have held his poses a bit longer. Felt like he was in a bit of hurry.
Crazy beasts....... One rules..... They have changed the bodybuilding world. Sad to hear flex loosing his leg . But it awsome that he still exercises in the gym and is helping new talent. Similar with Ronnie...... Had multiple surgeries but still standing . That's why they will always be champions irrespective of their health and recent conditions. God bless you all ..,....... Champs forever
Alright Ronnie was winner in this competition but i would say all these 3 guys they're just marvelous they have guts to beat today's any single bodybuilder and no bodybuilder today has that condition, maintain physique that these 3 guys have ❤🙌
Ronnie Coleman’s routine appeared graceful and humble with sincerity - personality plays a large part in winning and I think many bodybuilders neglect this aspect. Ronnie is sincere and seems to be truly himself - this in itself scores major points with the judges, aside from him having an amazing physique.
I agree. Flex Wheeelers cocky attitude and grim smile togheter with that ear rings makes one want to punch him in the face. He looks like he watch himself in the mirror when wanking/jerking.
Ronnie was way bigger and like stone mountains biceps ..wow .... flex was no near to him from back size and glutes was on another level like monster on road .. respect flex emotions but Ronnie is Ronnie the king colemen.
I noticed a few things that made the MR. O fun, bigger, the owners invested in the top 10 bodybuilders and made them household names and millions as well as they got returned on their investment because of high interest in women..... Now, hardly woman fans don't even keep up with BB more less buy tickets for Mr. O. and owners are not investing the the top 10 BB and they are not getting a return on that investment. Finally, I heard that Flex was not dedicated and disciple to his craft and if he was 90% as discipline as Ronny C, he would have won two of the Mr. O's. Also, how in the hell Flex was mad because he loss when he give all the secrets to a man that had discipline and dedication and was almost natural and a baby in the sport of BB.....Flex probably thought no matter how many secrets I give Ronny, he will never beat him.....I wonder if Flex regret giving Ronny all of the secrets knowing he could have been MR O multiple times..... These guys, Ronny, Flex and Chris had originality, style, flair and passion for the posing...
