I think the crowd was expecting soundgarden and audioslave songs. These songs were from the album he collaborated with timberland. Chris Cornell dipped his toes in quite a few genres of music. I think everything he sang was so amazing. He ALWAYS put his Cornell flavour and style, that always came through no what he sang. That's why we love him so much.
....I think he had so many cool lyrics, and this rhythm to the way he sang and phrased everything... I put him up there with some great writer, singer, musicians... like Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Prince
Doesnt matter, "The crowd will be the "crowd". They dont know what he is meaning in the most lyrics ! And its a shame for all "Cornell/Fans", to let him die, "alone" without questions ! Where are the 1 000 000 000 "Like a Stone" Humans and fight for Justice !?!? Oh, okay,...., i heared it on the radio, Cornell did suizide, sure,...hmmmm......okay , who is the next !?!?! Ahh, Jester BEnnington 2 Weeks later, on his birthday, surely !!!!!! Are u all so dumb !!! WHY !? Retarded Human !
Yes I do I don't like to compare my favorite groups and singers but Chris Cornell is my very favorite Chris and lyne Staley and to me it's baffling how curtain Nirvana got in the Hall of Fame before Soundgarden and Chris like I said I like her I like Nirvana but they're not even on my top floor of favorites from Seattle not because they weren't good because they didn't have as much music and where Kurt was tortured for being a musician Chris lived to be a musician he loved it
@@amypoucher9620I like nirvana but I mean outside of a select few of their greatest hits I can’t get with them Soundgarden I can enjoy their entire catalog including their b-sides I love all of Chris’s work Soundgarden/solo/Audioslave/totg and let’s be real Chris was way better than Kurt in my humble opinion!!!!! Hopefully one day he gets his rightful spot in the Hall Of Fame.
Ritchie Kotzen has a very similar voice and tone especially when he turns on the rock and roll voice overdrive afterburners and even looks similar, he's rumored to have been approached for SG tribute, CC documentary etc.
I love soundgarden...Audioslave...temple of the dogs...all the grunge scene...and i miss the music of Chris Cornell...he realy Rock on ... Still rock in heaven...forever Chris Cornell...love all them... pepperlonelyheart
Chris is great and everyone knows that. But this was also a great band he put together these guys can really play + sing and worked wonderfully together. Chris seems very happy and engaged with the band and audience at this gig. They were all on!
Yes! This band he put together was to notch, they could do his music from Soundgarden, TOTD, Audioslave and his solo stuff! Also, you're right, he was very happy with them, you could see they had a good time playing together!
*WE MISS YOU EVERY DAY, YOU LEFT US THE MOST BEAUTIFUL* *THING ABOUT YOU* *YOUR MUSIC* #LOUDLOVE #CHRISCORNELLFOREVER 🙏🎸📿👏👏👏👏👏📿🎸🙏 ⚘🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯⚘ *VOICE OF OUR GENERATION* *AND AN ARTIST FOR ALL TIME* *CHRIS CORNELL 1964 - 2017* ⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘ *REST IN PEACE*
Woooow. What a performer. I've been so hooked at his voice since 2016. I'm addicted to him. Reminds almost like good old Freddie Mercury, even tough the music is totally diffrent :).R.I.P the finest soul and his fantastic vocals!!!❤❤😭😭
I would like to be the first to nominate Chris Cornell for sainthood. Introducing, Saint Cornell, the saint of music and lyrics, he helped millions of people all over the entire world get through many black days, dark times, depression, loss of a loved one, the list goes on and on. Saint Cornell helped me, and millions of other people through so much, we felt like we were not alone when he came out with certain songs. How do we get this done? Who do we talk to to get Chris Cornell submitted for Sainthood? Saint Cornell!!
My god!!! Thats definitely the best version ever of hunger strike. The drummer was amazing, and chris... never heard him even trying to reach those high notes since he started to lose his voice. He sang his ass off, nailed it
It's May, almost 1 year , watching everything CC has on RU-vid. I don't miss him any less, this year has been rough. I hope he has found his peace on the other side. That's what I hope for him. There are some still fighting for the truth, I respect them for doing so
Chris is awesome, even the Scream songs sound great but then again, what would you expect, Chris is golden. I really believe that he can make "The sesamestreet theme song" exciting......
See, soon as he started singing his old songs, the crowd goes crazy, which just proves my previous post about his particular flavours and style of music. I could always fall asleep listening to Chris Cornell's voice. I miss him so much. Rest in peace brother Chris Cornell.
I keep watching this music, that Chris Cornell did. It’s so strange compared to his signature rock-n-roll. But I like it the more I listen to it. Pop music, who would have thought 💭. Chris was so amazing, I miss him…his music defined my world so much!🌎☀️☄️🎭🎰
Underrated Album........i love it all !! But my favorite is "Higher Trust" . Thats his soul, his thinking, his live , he was "Higher" like the most from us ! JUSTICE !!!!
wow what an awesome perfomance!! they kicked ass big time! what a big loss we are takin here between his family n friends n fans... a massive tragedy... rip Chris. u will NEVER be forgotten and thank you so much for the great rock and roll you've given us over the years. it'll go on to be timeless...
I think this live concert version with the songs from his Scream album really sound great. Some of these songs are hard to sing live and get the same sound. He very rarily falters in his performances. Heres my true discription of Chris.... AN EARTHLY KIND PROFESSIONAL!!
26:29 only time he speaks to the audience to say he is singing to God and yes he is up there. This amazes me 'case in interviewa he is always so elisuve when he was asked about religion and God. ❤
The concert was great, I love everything he did but the crowd leaves a lot to be desired, damn, they piss me off! Cold ice water runs through their veins! He & his band deserved better! When Show Me How To Live doesn't wake you up, you are actually dead. Hunger Strike had a way better reaction in Brazil with the crowd singing the counter part. Even Spoonman, really? Be Yourself got a little reaction, could they be waking up? Finally, Cochise seems to have gotten their attention. I'd have given anything to have the privilege of hearing him live! His terrific group was composed of guitarists Yogi Lonich and Peter Thorn, bassist Corey McCormick and drummer Jason Sutter, all well respected, class act musicians.
Sharon Willick my sister & I saw him solo in 2013 at a small venue, Uptown Theater in Napa, Calif. He blew us away! He sang & played guitar for 2 & a half hrs without a break! The longer he performed the stronger his voice & guitar got! He only stopped because of a noise ordinance. He was funny, engaging with the audience & so soft & humble! It was a night I'll never forget! Also saw Soundgarden in 1990 at a Day on the Green at the Oakland Colosseum with my same sister. They were very new but he had so much energy! We had a blast that day too! He was so so talented & will be missed! Don't believe he passed from suicide at all. He was killed/murdered...... Hope the truth comes out one day.
Doesn't anyone ever think about or even give it a second look at Mike McCreedy and that he is one of the best guitarist of all time!! He's the master of the Strat. or Les Paul it's not really what type of guitar that he's playing he's a fuck'n kick'n ass player he's shown off his greatness in TOD,Pearl Jam!! I'm not trying to say that the rest of the band, their all great, and the fact that they've been the same members from day one with the exception of a few different drummers!! I'm just a Matt Cameron fan, I could keep fuck'n rattling on about them,so with just one more thing Fuck'n Chris Cornell wow one of the best fuck'n singers of all time!! What a great loss to the musical world!! RIP Chris and I hope that all the daemons that were haunting you have all gone now!! Chris you left a big void in the musical world!!
What he said at 26:23 - I hope that Chris did believe in God, and is with God now. It's horrible that he died but Chris was basically too beautiful for this ugly world anyway. Such a loving, kind and giving person. I'm sorry that he ever had to suffer!!
i finally have been able to watch a performance of Chris Cornell since he passed away , i really don't know why that shit hits me so hard , i always liked but never been a real fan of Soundgarden , it was like two years prior his death that i listen Audioslave , and i get addicted to his voice , by the time of his death i have like a dozen of his songs that sounded on my playlist every day , every freaking day , in a very phuked time of my 52 years of being experiencing this thing called life , suddenly it was said that Chris killed himself, i don't know , some people say it was not suicide , i wasn't there so i can't say nothing , what i know is that a couple days later i stopped to listen his music , his voice , i stiil got not a dozen but a lot more of his songs on my main playlist that i never listened again , it really hurts me , and i don't know why. today i take a step to end this thing , but i know it didn't work , i really can't understand my thing with this guy and the pain that his voice brings to me , really don't know if it's for his departure which was terrible , he seemed a spiritual being , or if it was his passing asociated to the real painful situation i was living myself , the true is that he was magic on stage , and the guys here with him , Yogi Lonich ,Peter Thorn , Corey McCormick and the legend Jason Stuter were pure dynamite what a band , powerful , i think that was the like of Chris be in a powerful sounding band , and he did at least three times and i love it , thank you Chris , RIP
