@@jasmineervin1240He died just after their latest planned tour was announced to be coming to my country and I was so excited to get to see them, I was absolutely crushed when he died losing my chance to see them live 😥
Soo True!!! Chris was one of a kind!!! That being said: Have you ever heard of the band BIG WRECK?? They guy sounds pretty close, without really trying to be Chris!!! Check them out-you won’t be disappointed?!! 🎶✊🏼☮️
At ‘92(?) Lollapalooza in West Virginia, I had just crowdsurfed all the way from the front (where Eddie Vedder had shaken my skull during the last part of “Jeremy” & I survived the mosh pit for 2 bands before thinking I would die) to the back of the entire crowd. My buddy & I were eating a watermelon we bought when Chris Cornell comes flying up driving a golf cart. He yells at us “GET ON!” We jumped on and he drove us all around the festival as I hung off the back. That was a great day. RIP, Chris.
@@gatomadness It kinda felt like that. When powerful, surreal experiences happen to you, it really burns into your brain cells. I’d say videotaping the secret pyramids of China gave me the same sort of rush. Both made me scream and freak out a bit. Same goes for my two UFO experiences. Life’s a trip.
I hope it’s alright me commenting this, but I came across a really upsetting video earlier today, kinda shook me up in my soul. After a few hours I said ok God got the message can I see something now tho that reminds me of beauty and love and pure sincerity, and this video came up. And I immediately felt like my call had been answered, and for that I’m eternally grateful as always.
Couldn't bear to see his pic after he died. My ex was practically his doppelganger. No one's voice can be like his. Acoustic "Redemption Song" gives me chills.
@@greatblondino bro as a straight man I can tell you he's obviously handsome as hell, people can say someone's beautiful without insinuating you're ugly, even though you specifically are busted as hell dear lord
I visit his grave every once in a while since I live about an hour from Hollywood. Nearby is Johnny Ramone's grave, as well as Halyna Hutchins', and actor Anton Yelchin's. Just across from Chris is Mickey Rooney's crypt. I saw Soundgarden play three times, each time was amazing!
Do you think his grave is respectable? Majority of fans disagree immensely as well as the majority of fans knowing his "wife" never bothers her black hole to tend to the tiny kerbside kerbstone plot. It's fkn disgusting.
Soundgarden is one of my all time favorites and You Know My Name is the best Bond theme ever. I don’t know a lot about him as a person (he seems like a really chill guy), but as an artist, he was nearly unparalleled.
@SassuWunnuOn quit acting like your not jealous of a dude like Chris Cornell even if he’s dead his music is way beyond some dude in the comments angry typing. The only people who hate on soundgarden are the people who haven’t heard of them or the people too insecure to do any self reflection
So glad I got to see him touring in New Zealand with Linkin Park before they both passed, what an incredible soul, our loss, heavens gain, depression and anxiety are hard foes ❤❤❤
So hot🔥 met him in Seattle in the early 90s b4 he got really famous...couldnt stop looking at him, he was SOOO GORGEOUS 😍 & his voice was unbelievable...
So sadly missed. Saw him at Mama kin in Boston years ago. He was so good and stayed on stage much longer than he was supposed to. Ànother life cut too short. His voice was so amazing I'm so happy I had the opportunity to see him live
WAS!, great while it lasted. Ma Kin was around for the decline of the Western Civilization ( pt. 3) All of the Greatest Music that was being smothered by different cultures, gave it a last ditch effort, here on the Mighty Landsdowne street. I actually attended the “soft opening “ Aerosmith did an intimate yet Blazing performance that night, sometime in the early-mid 90’s, mingling with the crowd of 200 of the industries “Beautiful People”, And influential shakers and movers. Of course there was MTV/ People mag,the guy that owns “Penthouse”, local and national rags, ETC. Many Great Bands Played the Venue in it’s Short Lifespan… from glam metal, to blues metal, pure fkng metal, and Everything else in between. Sadly Missed, almost a Refuge for Once Upon a time, Stadium Fillers . The game had changed and tech was an Assassin, killing off album sales and such. Thanks for listening to my rant, I’m putting myself to sleep. Sorry. R. I see...I lament... I got sad when he passed away...But we gotta face the truth: that was his choice: his own death. I do not judge him, God has alredy done it. But the truth is that his death was his choice. Unfortunetely it was the worst choice he could ever have made.
His passing really bummed me out. Even watching this now, my armpits get weird tingles & my stomach feels sick. His music still blows my mind. He was an INCREDIBLE artist.
@@mattdad8429 haha I like that positive rationale better. Though for me, it seems to be more of a bodily alert defense mechanism, and usually occurs when something doesn’t sit right, or when I’m feeling a sense of dread (like when someone almost hits you with their car). In this case, it was the thought of his passing, how he died; what a tremendous loss it was for all of us who love his music so much, and the thought of him never making music again. It sucks.
It really is sad he's gone. Another phenomenal talent gone too soon. Got to meet/party him and Soundgarten In Syracuse, NY before they blew up. Nice guys.
It’s stuff like this that is TRULY hard if you battle depression. Seeing people like him and Chester go, who SEEMINGLY have so much in life and still lose the battle is rough. You have to fight on though if for nothing else, to not hurt those you love and give others who battle hope.
Soundgarden’ “Superunknown” album is so freaking amazing. I’ve heard it countless times but even when I put it on yesterday and focused in on his vocals and how damn good every line was I’m just amazed picturing him singing into a mic in a studio just killin it.
Was the first CD I ever owned, my grandma bought it for me when I was in 1st/2nd grade…she passed away earlier this week 😭at 85, but the amazing music she shared with me will last for a lifetime…
@@jrt20able I’m sorry to hear about your loss. She will forever be remembered through an awesome album! I love how much like the other 3 Grunge Big 4 Soundgarden (particularly Superunknown) is so many different elements that it’s hard for me to explain to someone in terms of a singular style of music. It has dark vibes, Rock vibes, Metal riff vibes, singer-songwriter vibes, psychedelic vibes. It’s so many different things yet so seamlessly they mesh together.
@@rci30 “Badmotorfinger” is awesome as well. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite between the two, and I’m glad I don’t have to. Chris’ screams on “Jesus Christ Pose,” insane! The band’s tight, heavy rhythm on “Outshined,” powerful! The psychedelic Melodie’s of “Searching With My Good Eye Closed.” Magnificent! We were so spoiled with bands/albums like this 20+ years ago that it took till now when good bands/albums are so few and far between to notice.
@@rci30meh. My favorite soundgarden song is Outshined and the second half of rusty cage is absolute greatness, but superunknown clears it. Too many good songs outweigh 2 really great songs
Yeah.... That's why Pig Pharma psychiatric drugs like the antidepressants that Chris was taking have absolutely no business being in the human bloodstream and brain. They are neurotoxins which cause significant and disabling damage to the brain, particularly the frontal area which is one of the most important, and this damage can and does cause people to become suicidal... Among other things. This is what happened to Chris. And it's happened to other rock musicians and creative people as well as well. People that knew Chris well are well aware of the part these psych drugs played in his suicide. And the pharmaceutical industry is well aware that suicidality he's a known side effect of these drugs but they keep it buried in the fine print. Too much money to be made. 💰💰💰💰But it's a fact. Do the proper research and you'll find out. 💊💉🪦Chris was one of their victims.
What in gods name are you even saying ?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️ Axl Rose is amongst the greatest frontman who has ever lived. Chris Cornell’s greatest song he was carried by Eddie Vedder, lmao. The two shouldn’t be mentioned in same sentence. Axl is a talent Cornell can’t comprehend
@@MichaelTaylor-kw5nh nah, I know the song. I just didn’t expect you to say it was Chris Cornell’s greatest song lmao. I have absolutely no idea how you think he was carried considering Eddie sang one verse, and some of the chorus, while Chris wrote the song, sang 2 verses and the chorus, and played rhythm guitar on the song so saying Eddie carried the song is such an ignorant thing to say. I almost feel like thats the only song you’ve heard from Chris if you really think its his greatest.
The Greatest Rock singer of all time as far as I'm concerned and the fact that he took it upon himself to pick up the guitar and learn how to play to further contribute to writing songs in Soundgarden. Imagine if he never did that and just stayed a singer how many songs wouldn't of been ever written. As good of a singer that he is he could of just done that and still been super successful. I miss the 90s.
I had the privilege to see him live with Audioslave back in 2005, they were headlining a Major festival here in Italy and played after Prodigy and Slipknot, what a show... How all three of those bands had to deal with such painful losses still leaves me stunned. So much great music back then, RIP Chris Cornell, Keith Flint, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray.
Dude had a one in a billion voices and gifted with music at the same time. His voice is the sound I want to hear when I die and travel threw the Cosmos with Carl Sagan whispering in my ear. I remember hearing temple of the dog which was a collaboration between he and Eddie Vedder and there music is the music of my youth and my memory’s.
Everything I have clicked on with Cornell is so good. He was amazing on so many levels; what a heartbreak that he couldn’t stay here with us for longer.
This man had all the fame, women, money, traveled the world who knows how many times and still raised his hand on himself, what are the rest of us ordinary people supposed to do?
When I was young he was an idol. I never thought he would die the way he did. RIP and thank you for the music. I dreamt of meeting you when I was 17-21.
One of the very few celebrity deaths that got me, and hard. Loved both Soundgarden and Audio Slave, I wish he'd gotten the help he needed. At least he's not suffering anymore.
Its too bad every time I see Chris or hear his music, I think of his death. He was the first person that died and it really hurt me. I listened to his music only, for a year and more after his death , Peace always Chris.
This man is just as beautiful on the outside as he was on the inside. His wife was one lucky woman. He makes me feel like im glowing listening to him speak n of course his magic voice. RIP ❤
@@maryfrances350💜 THAT IS SO HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL. I SENT THAT CD TO MY SON JOSHUA WHEN HE WAS IN AFGHANISTAN. "LIKE A STONE" WAS MY SONG TO MY SON! I WILL ALWAYS GET A LUMP IN MY THROAT WHEN I HEAR CHHRIS CORNELL SING THIS! WE LOVE & MISS YOU CHRIS! FOREVER 💜💜💜
@@Will324 I will never rule anything out but that just seems far fetched. If you just listened to the dude's music he was surely a tortured soul. But idk
Love Chris❤! His songs, lyrics, voice, melodies can really lift you up. His music reminds that there is a part of the Divine in each of us. He will be missed, but I pray never forgotten.
Went to watch Chris Cornell , Aerosmith, and a few other bands in London - it was pouring rain ALL DAY. None of the "big bands" came out on stage. CC was the only guy that came and sang his heart out in that rain, so we would have something to watch. Hours earlier than he was scheduled to. He was a great human.... RIP ❤
I listened to his autopsy recording as the audio is public. During the examination when the coroner cut open his throat he commented "vocal cords appear normal" I immediately thought to myself wow medical science has so little to do with the actual beauty of life.
Yea you’re right. He should’ve asked for an autograph instead of doing his job as professionally and objectively as possible. 🤦 quit living in fucking fairytale land. The real world is NOT beautiful.
@@MustObeyTheRules that's dumb!! It's not about the professionalism of the coroner. I'm poetically addressing the divide between Chris's voice which we all loved, the unflattering reality of medical science, and my curiosity to listen to the audio of the autopsy in the first place. More importantly for the record it's not just a "dark world" it's much weirder than that it's a world of endless stark contradictions!!
