I agree with Sasha. Paul Pierce was a massive Lakers fan growing up in Inglewood. He loved Magic and Showtime. The minute he got drafted by the Celtics that all changed. He learned to hate his childhood team who were the bitter rivals of the Celtics. Imagine Paul Pierce wearing a purple and gold magic wristband when they played Kobe and the Lakers in those finals lmao

Lol the conversation around not wanting to tell people you deal and collect cards for a living is hilarious. So I’ve been and still am an ER Nurse Practitioner for 15+ years at the same big hospital since I graduated in may ‘08. When all the ER Physician partners in our group as well as the ER Nurses found out I got back into collecting and spending money on sports cards a few years ago, they all said that stuff is for kids and losers. They couldn’t believe I was “wasting money on cardboard with pics of men on it” then tried setting me up with their finance guy to help educate me how to spend my money wisely 😂 I pulled back partly because I felt stupid and partly guilty unfortunately.
It is amazing how in a “Professional” world sports cards are highly judged. Anymore I keep it a secret lol. And these are very very bright minds far smarter than me that I work with so I don’t like to go back and forth.
