Oh wow, your video brought and reminded me of many enjoyable memories of myself enjoying very similar model and year Chris Craft boat which I owned for many years. There are times I still miss having that boat as she did me well and I hope the person who purchased mine was able to get many more years of enjoyment. Always kept the boat as original as possible but did also update with putting in my own security system, ship to shore and ham radios onboard along with various other safety items including first aid supplies with a small oxygen tank for emergencies in case ever needed. Mine also had the original Chris Craft marine hercules block engine made to last forever and have a sound of their own. The main thing was to always keep a check for water leaks on the packing for the main shaft. Thanks for sharing the video.
My dad had a 54 28 foot express.. looked just like this one .. Was in vermillion ohio around 1983 or 4...I still remember that boat and i was only 3 0r 4.. her name was Rhiannon.. gotta love that flathead rumble.

I've got a '53 Chris Craft Commander that has two that need it, but getting to that age that I'd probably will not do it & hopefully her next owner will have the passion for her to do that
