Not sure what debate Chris was watching, but Kamala Harris did seem to articulate her plans for the future a whole lot better than trump did. And on top of that, trump killed the most recent immigration bill. Trump was also in office from 2016-2020 and his administration did not pass an immigration laws. You cannot govern a country only by executive orders. Congress is responsible for creating laws and providing funding.

Exactly. He's clearly trying to seem impartial or trying to appeal to Independents. When Trump was POTUS and the Republicans controlled Congress, why didn't they do anything about immigration? Also, why were Republicans not on board with what would be the toughest asylum and immigration laws? We have seen time and time again that Executive Orders don't work and can be easily overturned by the courts. The VP and POTUS can't really fix immigration without Congress. And, unfortunately, Congress has become extremely divided and chaotic ever since Trump set foot in the White House.

Thank you! I am a first generation immigrant, too. But I worked 45 years as a pharmacist, paid tax. A law abiding citizen. Raised 2 boys. One a Pediatrician and one a school teacher. My wife also worked in the medical field and at City of Hope in California. USA is a country of immigrants. A country that is good to the immigrants will have goods returned multiple folds.

I was thinking about this through all these comments. This country was indeed built by immigrants. My maternal line came through Ellis Island from Ireland, my paternal line, Jewish refugees from Russia. We all have our roots traced from somewhere OTHER than here. And that the Trump administration made that so much worse. They have billions of people and wearing masks in China helped keep the virus from spreading. Although they went to extremes by sequestering people in their apartments mainly because of the large population. The U.S. had more people die of Covid then many other countries. Yeah Trump and his followers are idiots! 🤦♀️ It the U.S. 1917 flu pandemic health officials tried to get people to wear face coverings. Many refused. Who knows how many deaths could have been prevented? Some of these people that survived must be their ancestors...😂

Chris, when Trump didn’t look at Kamala, it wasn’t “disrespect” as much as it was hatred of women - especially black women. Please don’t whitewash Trump’s behaviour. Trump has always thought that women were beneath his respect.
I don't understand how a man gets convicted of a crime, rape and why would anyone vote for him. if that would have happen to my family member he more then a debate to worry about . i don't how the hell he getting a free pass? What does say about us as a society?

That😮 debate said a lot. It said Trump is so pathetic as usual. He lost the debate big time. Kamala has the intelligence that wiped him up. He is not on her level. He could not handle that situation. His output was all foolishness. 😮😮😮
I didn't take it that way, and I'm a woman, so I recognize that's a negative term for women. But I took it to mean she was aggressively on the offense. She went after him. She attacked his Achilles heel (his ego) And that was good debate strategy.
He's been a misogynist his entire life. She is so far superior to him in every way, it's excruciating for him...and I'm here for it. He deserves every negative thing that comes his way. He's been trying to destroy everything since he first ran for president. He didn't even really like, or participate in the job. He showed up at noon to work, signed some stuff with his sharpie, made the rich people even richer with the tax breaks, made stupid speeches, killed people by lying about COVID, and he should have been in prison by now for the insurrection. Wow Chris Cumo, like you I got it so wrong. You were actually one of my absolute favourites. Before the pandemic I held you in such high esteem. You are so intelligent and have such a huge platform. How could you be such a strong supporter of donald trump? You say you're not but you're clearly constantly criticising Democrats. I can respect that but to keep throwing support for trump? I am shocked. You're upset that he messed up and " blew his opportunity". Sad. What he said about T was on the money; he could have done much better if it wasn’t for his narcissism… true that he did not give Harris more credit, as I believe she was expecting a tougher debate, and was better prepared and more focused.

I agree. You have Moody's and Goldman Sachs stating his financial policy will not only add to the deficit, but be a tax on the lower and middle classes. How is that nailing it????
Neither one of them talked a lot about policy. If you really wanted to learn about a candidate in a debate to try to figure out who to vote for we rarely get substance. We get clever soundbites. Neither one dove in the policies. It was all pointing fingers and who could get the gotcha. Go to this end, I took Chris's comment as being that Donald was focused and calm and "effective" in what debates have become. But as soon as she went after his crowd size, I knew game was over. That's his Achilles heel.. the narcissism came out.. that was a brilliant strategy on her part
I share why you’re skeptical on Chris’s analysis. But IMO, Chris is trying to play both sides without looking biased on any side that could alienate and reduce his subscribers or viewers. The contrast was so obvious but to criticize VP Harris as if she was not able to clarify her policies and genuine intentions which starkly contrast to the dangerous intentions of the other side is quite disingenious. But like i said, if Chris just want to play safe, then fine since he did mention how terrible Trump pared against Harris during the debate. I don’t think people will be persuaded by Chris arguments that Harris was not the truly better alternative in comparison to the convicted felon with his evil selfish intentions to use the powerful office to sow continued chaos and division among the nation and to enrich his business empire and get away from his convictions and pending indictments.

It was the first time I see Donald Trump disciplined and humiliated on a debate stage. Kamala Harris did to Trump what every GOP & DEM presidential candidates were unable to do to Donald Trump since he gets into politics after seeing a Black president in the White House.
