comedy and comedy podcasts are therapy for me because it breaks up the pain of dealing with real issues/feelings/emotions with levity and joy allowing me to be honest about my short comings and ok that maybe I'm not strong enough emotionally to deal with them on my own or all at once... the honesty and courage to talk about the real stuff helps

I feel like a teacher has hurt us all in some sort of way, and we still think about it as adults. My preschool teacher made me sit in a cubby and I ended up pissing myself because she forgot about me. #TeachersAintShitButHoesAndTricks

Once a teacher said its impossible to break this egg... And before she finished I broke the egg and was really proud of myself - then she scolded me and told me off, apparently she meant you can't break it by applying force at the top and bottom of the egg. In moments I went from a victorious egg conquerer to a sad 7 year old facing the corner wall while the rest of the class was allowed to learn. I think that memory will be very significant in my future counselling.

I’m the same way as a loner I hate being in big crowds as I get older. The other day I was going To my car and I waved my neighbors going to there’s and they looked at me like I just kicked there dog or something. And I immediately shut down again. Drinking helps

It’s them, not you. Make that your mantra. Around 40 I decided to assume everyone likes me, they all want a piece of me, mostly because it made me laugh. I’d wave at strangers like we were long lost pals. Holy shit, it was like stepping in an ant bed, people just crawling all over me. People desire connection, but we all fear rejection, so it has to be a super safe place before we will connect. Never seek approval, just give it when you want to. And some sort of substance abuse and/or Jesus helps tremendously.
