I was so happy to hear him voice Mickey in "Once upon a Studio." It shows that he can absolutely nail a straight forward version of the character as well as the wilder funny version. No disrespect to Bret, but Chris has so much more emotional and energetic range for Mickey.

Though Bret Iwan has been the main voice of Mickey currently, Chris has done such a fantastic job voicing Mickey and brought so much to the character that was never brought before. Mickey is a legend and Chris always gave it his 100% and has so much passion, talent, and hilarity. So glad to see him in this video

Bret is Mickey on Disney Junior shows, Disney on Ice, toys and some attractions and Chris is Mickey on 2013 shorts, TWWOMM and Runaway Railway.

Chris Diamantopoulos to me is amazing as Mickey Mouse, he has given him a lot of personality and comedic timing. He’s literally my most favorite iteration of Mickey Mouse and this is no means of disrespect to the legendary Wayne Allwine who sadly passed away in 2009.

I love Bret Iwan’s voice for Mickey, and don’t get me wrong, I have the fullest of respect and love for his take on the character! However, I do prefer Chris Diamantopoulos’ version of the iconic character! His Mickey voice has so much range and power which gives Mickey a whole new kind of personality to explore! He’s not just the happy-go-lucky poster Boy Scout anymore, he’s got loads of wit, and he’s crazy but lovable! I mean, it truly takes a whole lot of talent to SING in Mickey’s voice, yet Chris does it flawlessly! I wish he were the main voice of the mouse! 🐭

I agree. I love that he has more of that rascally nature but he's finally acting like a CARTOON CHARACTER. I am still shocked Disney (especially how some episodes are) let's them do what they do. He is a perfect blend of some classic mickey but his own mickey

@@Chaogod1233 I’m glad Disney is getting bolder to let Mickey have a stronger personality now! He still maintains the same lovable wholesome qualities we love, but he’s a lot more of a (as you said) cartoon character now. His personality has a lot more dimension! As do Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy in these shorts! The people behind this series (voice actors, writers, directors, and production crew) seriously know what they’re doing, and their love for the characters and the Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse (see what I did there?) really shows through in their work! This is some of the best content Disney has released in recent years!

@@Some_Dude319 I can agree with you there. Bret Iwan carry’s the role on from the iconic Wayne Allwine very well! KH Mickey is much more of the classic wholesome and sweet Mickey we all know and love! However, Kingdom Hearts Mickey is also allowed to do things we don’t always get to see the character do, like be an action hero, and firm protector of his friends. Honestly, KH Mickey, and the Mickey Mouse Shorts version of Mickey are by far the best iterations of the character! Epic Mickey’s depiction of the character is admirable as well, if I might add.

Chris is a very talented impressionist. He was also Moe in the 2012 Three Stooges movie. One of the best Moe Howard impressions I've ever seen.

I was definitely one of those people that was against the new Mickey Mouse shorts. Thought they were too weird and just not Mickey, but I have grown to absolutely love the manic and wacky nature of them. Seeing Chris in this interview makes me love them even more with his respect and appreciation for the character.

I just realized, Mickey has 2 voice actors, Chris and Bret Iwan, who does the preschool shows and did the Kingdom Hearts games. I also love how drastically different this version of Mickey sounds from every other ones, there's a lot more personality and spice to it.

Now I wanna see a version of the new Funhouse show with Chris as Mickey, and the show overall having a more mysterious and ethereal tone rather than just "Funny knows just where to go, up the stairs to anywhere!" Not a weenie, just nuts for nostalgia.

Well I think it’s now just Bret Iwan. Mainly because the Paul Rudish Mickey shorts have already ended. And they brought Chris for once upon a studio probably to capture Walt’s version of Mickey into the 100 year celebration

The Paul Rudish Mickey Mouse shorts have been the best thing that has ever happened to Disney's mascot in a long time, and Chris Diamantopoulos has done a phenomenal job voicing the character. So much so that it's safe to say that I consider his to be the definitive Mickey voice! So with that said, this interview was a pretty great watch all things considered. And the other Mickey impressionists weren't half bad either!

Funny thing is that before Chris was Mickey he was actually my favorite voice of Green Arrow. He had such a natural delivery for him with both snarky comments and more serious moments. To think he’s both my favorite Mickey and Green Arrow shows his talents.

I remember how weird I felt when they announced a different voice actor than Bret for the new cartoons. Chris does a great job, I just thought it unusual that they officially have two voices for the Big Cheese himself.

I love Bret, and I love the late Wayne, but Chris’s take on Mickey is in a different way so cool! When I think of Bret and Wayne, I think of my childhood, mickey’s Christmas carol, and Mickey Mouse clubhouse, or the new mickey’s funhouse series. With Chris, these shorts are just so funny, and hilarious that it gives Mickey a different element, so similar to back in Walt’s early days of voicing Mickey

When I saw the Christmas special where Donald gets all sick and Mickey has to use Santa's sleigh in a race against the clock to save Donald, I was glad to realize that, despite the absurd nature of the shorts, Chris' Mickey was still the same character in terms of personality that we have come and love all these decades ago.
