I called into the Howard Stern show years ago and they put me on hold and then Howard picked up and asked me if I wanted to play a game and I won $500 and a pair of technique headphones! 💰🎧
@@spencersharp No, it was a game about what Richard Christie would do for $10,000. Howard asked me a series of questions that was supposed to be impossible to answer but somehow I got them right!
The Artie years were the best. He had sleepy joe on and defends his policies. The man who is afraid to leave the house isn’t concerned with rampant crime !?
Howard's show has become a stale carousel of the same bits: Ronnie is angry, Sal is an idiot, Richard is a gross hick, JD is goofy, everybody picks on Gary, Fred is quiet and weird, Robin laughs at everything, and Howard is neurotic. Other than the interviews, every bit falls within those categories. The show is completely unlistenable now, and I was the biggest Howard fan alive at one time.
After Artie left the show in Jan. 2010, the show turned into a non-stop woke borefest. No gay jokes. No wack-packers. No lesbians. Way too much gay content. I cancelled a few years later when Howie started AGT and the show became unlistenable.
bro he's 70 years old and doesn't give a shit. I'm surprised he's even still doing the show given how much money he's made. Sirius is just willing to let him do what he wants.
Glad to hear that Howard Stern still having comics on. They lied to Gilbert Gottfried few years before he passed and said they were not having them on anymore.
I listen to Howard for 35 years. I was one of the very first subscribers Sirius but then Howard went extremely woke and I canceled my subscription. Couldn’t take it anymore.
Howard used to be amazing. He’s literally just a scared old man now. I listen to his show because of Richard, Sal, Gary, Benjy and the others. Robin sucks and always has.
Howard was the best back in the day. If he would have got out on top all these podcasters would be hailing him as the king. Unfortunately he stayed around way too long and damaged his legacy.
For me, I don't don't think it's necessarily bad that he stayed on the air and stuck around. The part that sucks is that he completely changed. He's now close friends with the very people he used to goof on for being morons, he's extremely left wing and promotes idiotic left wing ideals, and just sits and gushes over talentless celebrities as if they've cured cancer. I know it's natural for people to change as you get older, we all do it to an extent, but he's become the exact polar opposite of the guy we all loved 30 years ago. I think that was his biggest blunder, (at least in my worthless opinion).
@asev01 I agree 100%. Kind of why I think he stuck around too long. I don't think his original show was maintainable in this day and age. He now supports the same people who tried to have him banned for many years. I don't think the bits he used to do would be allowed these days anyways, I think a lot of young people just don't know how crazy that show used to be. His guests were a lot of hookers and homeless people who were willing to do.. anything.. for a drink or some cash. It was out of hand lol
Have NOT listened to Stern for years....I originally got satellite for Stern when he was funny and I was able to get a lifetime subscription. I listen to everything but Stern
Howard fell off when Artie left. It's unbearable and been unbearable for many many years. I've been listening since was 7 years old. Diehard fan and can name all the whackpackers and staff. Such a shame
The Stern show dropped off significantly since Artie Lange’s departure. I bet he doesn’t even have 500K daily listeners. Rogan has been the big fish the past decade.
I don't even know how anyone can listen to Howard, I was on his show in 97. The guy is so out of touch with reality. I'm happy for Chris though he deserves the best
I remember when Howard boasted about coming in to work and being there in studio. Now he just phones it in like every other podcaster. Not that it matters anymore, he killed off the funny years ago.
SiriusXM is already losing money, subscribers are leaving now. Howard has threatened about not returning but always signed a new contract. The show has gone down hill the last 10 yrs.
Ugh-I can’t get that out of my head! Reminds me of the King of Queens episode when Kevin James was playing with a staple gun and accidentally stapled “himself.” It was hilarious!
The Howard Stern Show will always be titled the Howard Stern Show. But it will be The Howard Stern Show with so-n-so. And the so-n-so will always be changed in and out. No one can hold down or live up to Howard's interviewing skills/showmanship.
