Chris Elliot was simply not taken seriously. "The Regulator Guy" was a hallmark of both writing and stage lighting. For these reasons, new awards should have been instated for stage craft and actor nutrition. As well as lawn care. But, now, it's all just a memory. Amazed that Elliot wasn't launched to stardom as Jack Nicholson was winding down his career. The timing just never seemed to make it. I have read that Elliot may be looking at producing a Saturday morning cartoon centering on the apocalyptic notion of large corporation's incessant angling to minimize and even avoid taxation. I hope Elliot stays involved in such projects! He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to such work.
The Regulator Guy remembers how this was the spot where his father taught him how to be tender with a woman and how he hasn't been with a woman for a very, very long time. Then, all of a sudden, it's time for a nice cup of tea and some ladyfingers with his best friend Ajax.
"Dubya" purchased it (stole it, probably), filled the Thermos with Thermite and the rest is history. If only history was as amusing as The Regulator Guy. Maybe, tomorrow.....
