+Jason Lee, Downey Jr isn't really accurate in his portrayal to the Stark from the comics. I think there are plenty actors who could've been much better for the role of Stark. Jon Hamm, for example. He is far more suitable for Tony Stark than Downey Jr, both physically and essentially.

Marvel knows what there doing, they keep asking him to play that role because they know he fit the role. I don't know how they do it, but marvel knows how to pick their actors for specific roles.

I have myself a very -soft-, but sometimes really annoying social anxiety, and I feel A LOT BETTER when I'm outside: at my grandma's, taking a walk, jogging, and even on pubs, whatever, but OUTSIDE the house. And at the end of the day you realize that you have your own TOOLS to make it less painful for yourself (and I choose not to waste money on therapies).

+PermanentHigh I think Chris as Thor could be such an impressive force on the MCU but for some reason the screenwriters are not making him any favor, seems so weak and puny, barely reassembling any of the characteristic and significance he has on the comics, it's a character that needs more developing and perhaps could be 3 times better because I like that Chris isphysically identical and very invested in honoring the comics is just the essence that is missing other than that he's the perfect option for Thor.

My initial reaction when I heard of Chris' casting was a mix of shock and fear. I'd only seen him as the Human Torch previously, so I thought Cap would end up as a parody type of character. The full trailer for "The First Avenger" changed all of that, and I've been a fan ever since. Chris has done amazing work with the franchise, and I'm very excited for "Civil War".

I. Love. This. Man. It's so refreshing to hear him talk about social anxiety that's actually really bad to the point where it almost stops him doing things. I can greatly relate to everything he says about his anxiety and I'm just so glad he's out there telling people it exists in everyone all shapes and sizes. RDJ lives Tony Stark. He's always been Tony, and he barely has to act in Marvel movies. Chris Evans, on the other hand, is quite a different person from the character he portrays, but I couldn't think of anyone better to play him. He's just got the right idea about the character, not to mention his looks fit like a glove for the American hero with a heart of gold.

As someone who relates to social anxiety, this is why Chris Evans is one of the actors I truly admired. From what I've read, Chris Evans also seek therapy for these kinds of things. I'm so happy he didn't turn down the role. He's the true Cap!

I was apprehensive to see Chris Evans as Cap when i first heard about him being cast in the role. After all, i knew him as the guy from Not Another Teen Movie, but after seeing him play as Cap and like 7 movies later, i can tell you he really stepped up to the role.

It would've been so easy to make Cap a character who's a pompous ass or a campy character like Adam West's Batman, but Chris managed to infuse him with his low-key earnestness that lets you take him seriously and respect him. That's incredibly difficult to do, but he makes it look easy.

I feel so bad for Chris because me myself have horrible social anxiety and I heard that Downey was talking about him being really nervous and I can't imagine how Chris deals with all that anxiety. Idk I just feel bad.

I know of (at least) one other actor who was on the short list. He would have gotten the role if Chris kept saying no. I'm glad Chris said yes. He's done an amazing job. Itll be interesting to see what comes next.

They did the same thing with Benedict as Dr Strange. Turned it down couple of times because of the schedule but Marvel adjusted their schedule instead to fit on Benedict's. These dudes know their character, really.

I think maybe his hair has just gotten darker over the years, and he was originally blond. My cousins were the same way, and they only became brunets once they were in their late twenties.

It’s not easy playing two Marvel Characters specially if they both live in different timelines(Well Cap originally belongs to the 40’s) and they both have different attitude... But no one can replace Chris as Cap. If there is one, I hope Marvel sees that person soon...

It's funny that he was reluctant, because so was I; all I could see was either his character in Not Another Teen Movie, or worse, Johnny Storm. Now, I can't imagine anyone else as Captain America. He really nailed a potentiality thankless role.
