@@gearoidoconnell5729Hope I'm understanding you correctly when I say that Spidey was on Iron Man's team during Civil War and that's why Cap said to surrender
@itsjustme5009 they could possibly be held legally responsible for injury incurred on the premises if it can be proved that they asked him to do something unsafe. So they can allow him to do whatever he wants, but they can't ask it of him without safety procedures and equipment in place to mitigate the possibility of injury.
Bruh minor or not, celebrity or not, no one can ask you to do an action that could potentially hurt you. If someone force you to do it and you are injured, then you can technically sue them.
@@itsjustme5009They have stunt actors for the stuff like that. They don’t allow the face actors to do stunts. Tom kind of got lucky because of his training prior to the MCU.
@@hanzosikuBecause if he had injured himself they would have to stop filming until an investigation had been completed into what happened and he wouldn’t be able to continue filming until he had fully recovered and had a full clean bill of health signed off by minimum of two doctors. It costs more money per day when making movies/shows when they can’t continue to film then what it does when they can. They still have to pay for everything and everyone even though filming has been shutdown temporarily for any reason, it also delays the release date and the studio needs to start making the investors and their own money back asap. I work in the industry so know what the other person means when they said “it can cost them millions”
@@StillStanding-k2h Okay, understood. But then from what I read regarding the actor, he seems to be a really experienced gymnist. Even during his auditions he would do flips without being asked. He does these things for fun so the risk of an injury are very slim.
@@DraccoMC because it calls out an obvious, but typically unspoken truth about the shield, pointed out by the genius Peter Parker, while also lamp shading the physics breaking fight about to go down throughout in the following scenes. It’s like, yup, crazy cartoon laws now in effect and go. It winks at the 4th wall, without actually breaking it at a time when the audience is asked to accept absurdity and suspend disbelief without shattering the illusion.
@@lbell1703What happened is the marvels , she hulk , Shang chi , Eternals basically every super hero that came after civil war started throwing random one liners every now and then so like Syndrome said « In a world where everyone is special , no one is »
He was quippy with lower level stuff in his movies. I think the lack of quips with bigger threats was to show how hes in over his head and starting to realize it. You can see it in the ferry scene in homecoming where hes quipping around until the ferry starts to split and he goes into "oh shit" mode.
If only there were some known technology that would enable a character to do a flip or fly or otherwise move in ways the actor really can't. Getting only actors who could really fly to play Superman was really hard.
Best to as sometimes the first time is better than the 20th time, I believe some scene someone did 50 times but as how tired they got the director or editor picked the first take as was the best
no, that was a costume from Wardrobe, they didn't have the Spidey suit yet but they do have draft outfits specially for those auditioning for the MCU at that point in the franchise. i remember the spoiler set reports, then later confirmed by Tom himself, that of all the shortlisted actors that day, Tom was the only one who had the physicality of Spiderman. we all thought he offered to flip in just his street clothes then say the Spidey lines because that's pretty darn impressive in and of itself, but now seeing the BTS where they actually fitted Tom in a draft costume, heck no wonder Evans and the Russos were speechless 😅🤯. is this kid actually Spiderman IRL?? 🤩
@@deddrz2549 iirc they actually had a real Spidey suit, but it's the Peter "homemade Spidey suit" version. the Stark Spidey suit is CGI yeah, but at the time of Captain America Civil War, they actually had a red Spidey suit with some tracking bands. they went full CGI grey pajamas later on, like after Civil War and Homecoming iirc.
Whoever scouted Tom for this role is an absolute genius! He is absolutely adorable but also kind of dorky even though he is so far from that. Girls and the gays want him and guys want to be friends with him. If you dislike this man you have serious problems.
I remember hearing during that big dust up a while back when there were constant contradictory stories if Spider-Man was in or out of the MCU. From what I heard Tom Holland did a lot of back and forth between Sony and Disney, really working to keep Spidy in the MCU. I love finding out actors are good people too.
"Don't leave me trapped with Sony... Don't leave me trapped with Sony... Don't leave me trapped with Sony... Don't leave me trapped with Sony... Don't leave me trapped with Sony... Don't leave me trapped with Sony... Don't leave me trapped with Sony..."
Because he can do his own flips and looks quite young, it feels like the same person under the suit. Whenever Raimi Spider-man is suited up it doesnt feel like Tobey underneath at all.
For his safety. Thats why they have stunt doubles and will sometimes CGI in some flips and stuff. Having Tom doing most of his own stunts also saved them a bunch of money.
Its funny cause as my own opinion , tobey who i saw in theaters was not my spider man cause of the story being very sad and it was like a 25year old trying to be a teen so hard. Tom is gifted and is a kid so when he gets serious you do see something else. Lol i love tobey but when he got serious you got memes 😆
Eu assisti todos eles, e eu amo a infantilidade do Tom, porque Peter Parker é um adolescente, enquanto os outros são visivelmente adultos interpretando um adolescente, e Tom mostra como isso é estranho.
I felt like both Tobey could do the Spiderman part really well, but he was too old to play Peter and he wasn't my favorite Peter. I saw the movie in the theater too. Andrew was better as Peter, but I didn't think he was as good of a Spiderman as Tobey. Tom is perfect at both. That is my opinion anyway. I would still gladly watch any Spiderman movie and loved the three of them together. So in the end I think it was meant to be with all of them.
“Do I need to do that again, sorry, I don’t want to be disrespectful” that could’ve added some much needed charisma and snarkyness that might make others more inclined to make this version their favorite same with some other deleted scenes from his other Spider-Man flicks but either way he’s still my fav
He has the potential to be the best imo, but right in terms of spider-man action Andrew is better. Embodiment of Spider-Man as being relatable is and everday hero the best is Tobey Macguire
@@scdl-m2z nope he is the best Tobey for life also I shoulda clarified this when I first comment I wanna apologize for not clarifying it I’m speaking from a super biased standpoint when it comes to Spider-Man my bias instantly takes over and Tobey all the way down I try my best not to get involved in these convos
I'm 59 and same. He embodies a young 17-20 yr-old Peter Parker in every way, physically, emotionally, and personality-wise. Even his British accent doesn't spoil it.
@@RiordanverseFan We see this suit more in Homecoming, yes. But this was a screen test for Civil War, so he probably got to wear it during it so the casting and production could see how it fits him. We also do see it briefly when Tony and Peter are talking in his room, so the suit existed before his first solo movie PD: love your pfp 💙
I remember the time his mom did the whole mom-intimidation thing to the filming crew to make sure Tom would have enough chances to go to the bathroom in the suit (since it's hard to take off)
Why can’t they legally ask is my question. Don’t you have to make sure the person your hiring is physically capable of what you’re asking them to do for the job.
The Russo brothers being like “we can’t legally ask you to do that” gives the same energy as offering to split the bill when you can’t afford it and saying “well if you insist” when he wants to cover it himself.
“We can’t legally ask you to flip.” That’s twofold legalese. First: we have a contract with the stunt double guild, and/or policies in place for them. Second: as directors we cannot risk actors’ health and safety with stunts.
