I've known Chris for 20 years now and this dude is the realist most down to earth dudes in the metal scene. Period. Hands down one of the coolest people I've ever had the pleasure of calling my friend.
I was so stoked for Ernie when he joined. Between his work touring with Whitechapel and what he did for SS on Become The Hunter it’s cool to see his work pay off with a full time gig. Can’t wait to hear his future contributions 🤘
Become the Hunter is actually a very good album, despite all the struggles these guys were experiencing. The record was solid as hell. It has some underrated bangers!
Just finished the new album!! Incredible. loved the E.P., and the extra content was great. wonderful interview always love hearing your thoughts on music and life in general. Keep it up Garza!
I didn't know Become The Hunter was that type of album that had issues! Of course it's stressful making an album, but it's not always difficult like the situation behind Become The Hunter. Even if it was one of those albums that had issues around it, That being the truth has me respect it more. Not saying the issues are good or anything like that, It's just that behind the issues they still have effort in making the album and making as great as possible. The album sounds very dark, and according to that sound I can kind of tell now that it was a tough time. For example, Pantera's "The Great Southern Trendkill" and Slipknot's "IOWA" (they were different types of issues but still it's one of them albums with a story), they had a stressful time with these albums, and they do sound very dark, and they sound like they get to you more. I know that how the record sounds don't really tell a bunch, but every time I just hear something very heavy, I always guess if the bands were going through, or just curious of what was going through their mind while making an album!
Jam while interviewing. Make either an on the spot song, classic from each other’s music or just a classic song & viola you’ll stand out because for NO reason ‘interviews’ have no songs L
For real you gotta control your outward behavior even when your emotions are going off inside. I'm 50+ yo and every time I got burned it was because I let my emotions control my actions negatively. No wonder SS has made some of my favorite music. Smart dude.
Anyone who says they have no regrets, either hasn't done shit, or can't or doesn't accept or consider those mistakes as learning experiences. Watch out for people that say they have no regrets. It can typically mean that they don't see anything they've ever done regardless and who it hurt or affected in the process. If you can sit at 40 years old and say you'd never regretted the way you treated somebody or the way you maybe you didn't treat somebody, then you're a shitty human. PERIOD. My ex girlfriend enters the chat. Lol
Are you kidding me, Chris???....I knew who you were before anyone did and promoted you guys....holy shit. You know for fact it wasn't just Mitch. This is Aleata BTW
