There is a deleted scene where he cries at the end because he ends up being on the toilet which is on fire and he realizes he was actually shitting in his ice cream container in which Lois takes back into the kitchen ignoring the toilet paper chunks in it and puts it back in the freezer and Chris eats more again resulting in him vomiting and crying.

I'm not fully understanding the haagen-dazs joke. Is there some kind of cultural meaning behind it? I get that people go for ice cream when they are sad, but I feel that's not the entirety of it here. Or am I just overthinking?
