My all time favorite player. I watch a lot of Chris Johnson videos and have been for a long time and I must say, this is by far the best one I've seen. Included every big play in a way you could really enjoy all the plays and feel his impact through the music and quotes. Most electrifying running back of all time and by far the scariest home run threat in league history.
I really do honestly appreciate that comment. I put a lot of time into these videos and I try to tell a story instead of just throwing highlights at you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorite Titans ever. Thank you!
@@micahclawrence Professional Football Commentators: Wow what great patience and vision he has, one of the best ever Some random guy on RU-vid: Nah tho.
The replay at about 17:25 explains that perfectly, look how Johnson just jogging cuz it’s pre season and look how hard the titans receiver is running just to almost keep up
@@lgrw9883 Chris 2K was one of the best, if not the best RB ever. The running game is hard on player, physically. No one gets hit more, tackled more, and handles the ball more than RB. Oh except the QB and center, if you want to be technical about it, who conveniently hand off or throw. RB's are the toughest players on the field.
Best indicator of his exceptional speed is when he gets to the edge and turns it up, a DB or two got the angle until they don't because he has that burst gear that people find when being chased.
Man I think if an RB runs for 2000 yards in a season and are as game changing as chris johnson they should get the MVP. It's been done 6 times in 100 years, it's deserving of the award
WOW. He sacrificed 20 yards or so he wouldn't take it to the house. Props to Troy for being a very cerebral player but make no mistake that CJ2K was the best home run threat in the league every time he touched the ball. Either he was going to be met at the Line of Scrimmage or something special was about to happen. His speed was unparalleled for his time.
Barry Sanders is the Best RB of All-Time & my Most Favorite RB of All-Time. Having said that, Chris Johnson was the Most Exciting RB SINCE Barry Sanders that I've ever seen since! I hope he makes the Hall of Fame one day!
@@moedoe188 Barry wasn't as fast and CJ wasnt as big as Barry. Barry might be my fav RB of all-time and is probably the greatest back ever but CJ was quicker. Barry also did it longer than CJ and that ain't debatable...But as far as explosion and home-run hitting...it's really not close. The numbers are in CJs favor by a lot. Visually, they're pretty close...Barry was caught from behind a few times and CJ got caught because he was clowinin...But anyways...CJ and Barry are probably 1 and 2 all-time explosive backs..this aint a knock on either.
Chris Johnson has such a rare ability to decide when to turn north-south…and GO! Tremendously gifted running back. The acceleration and top end speed is electric!
So as a born and raised Redskins fan growing up watching Darrell Green who was the fastest man in the nfl for a long time.... Chris Johnson is the fastest man in shoulder pads I've ever seen in my life... we over use this phrase... but it is UNREAL the speed he has.... possibly the most underrated nfl player ever
Darrell Green was still a #1 Corner & still running 4.2 in the NFL when he was 40 yrs old playing football & i dont know any RB in the league thats atleast 35 yrs of age running a 4.2. Sorry Chris'.. The fastiest ever for the longiest tenure in the NFL was Darrell Green 4.2 💯
One thing a lot of people never realized about him was how special he was at knowing how to absorb tackles... He always kept his feet elevated and never took major hits. He was truly light on his feet! Another thing was how good at catching he was but couldn't showcase it as much having terrible QB's in Tennessee for most of his career. Was a real shame too because that team could've went all the way his rookie season if there was a better QB and they weren't running him constantly. That was the last game i attended was the Playoff game against the Ravens where Ray Lewis purposely injured him in a pile. He was on fire that game up until that dirty ass team had to twist his leg and almost break it to win.
Its true. Not a lot of clean shots. Mostly people are diving and hoping they could trip him up. And yes.... The Ravens weren't doing ANYTHING to stop him that playoff game.
Oh trust me. I still love VY. It was just hard to see them try to make him something he wasn't. I think VY was just.... About 10 years too early. Ahead of his time, if you will. He could be a difference maker in the spread and mobile QB offenses that are taking over right now.
Tennessee native. Titans’ lifetime fan! I truly believe that Chris Johnson was/is the greatest player in Titan’s franchise history!!!! hope he makes The Hall... he deserves to be remembered!!
other than Steve McNair or Bruce Matthews (who’s career began as an Oiler)... i don’t think it’s even close!! in all my years of football fandom, i can’t think of 10 players that possessed the type of speed that Johnson had.
Walter Simpson ahhh. Ok ok. I see the angle you were trying to get at. And... You know what. When you put it that way, it's not nearly as crazy. 😂 I got you. 👍
As a runner.... VY was different and those two together were scary. If only he had the other part of his game working too. Could've made people respect the pass and take people out of the box. Its scary to think how many more yards CJ could've got against honest boxes.
Because the team as a whole wasn't great that doesn't mean Chris Johnson wasn't deadly. and a Defensive coach having to gameplan for them both back there... Come on now.
People always talk about his speed, but CJ2K was soooo good at taking a 12 inch gap and slipping through it at light speed. His jump cut was legendary.
Chris Johnson is one of my favorite players of all time. Call me young and say I have a Titans biased and I wont disagree. He was exciting to watch and as a Titans fan I don't think we really appreciated him in the moment. Some of those radio calls of his runs still play in my head and I can remember them word for word. HE'S GOT GETTING AWAY FROM THE COPS SPEED!!! I Love it. I wanted to do more complete highlights for players careers and with Chris retiring I couldn't pick a better one. Thanks for the memories CJ2K.
Yes , I agree. Only I mean only if we had a qb. The best runner back we ever had as a Titans. I hope Henry comes alone but it's all about if you have it or you don't. Teams was in the box and he still was getting 100+ yards
Great video! Chris Johnson deserves to be remembered as one of the greats. He was a small back that needed to depend on superhuman speed so I knew his career couldn't last long but those years he did have were Hall of Fame level years. And there really hasn't been anyone else like him that I can remember.
He is one of the most durable Running backs in NFL history How many seasons has he ever set out I can't even remember any games that he missed If he did it didn't have anything to do with Injuries. 3 things that a great Running back should have speed, strength, and durability
The most impressive thing about him is that he stayed healthy. How many fast guys were able to stay healthy and produce at an elite level. Little to none. That's what makes him amazing
Being an Arkansas fan I will always remember you as everything I expected Darren McFadden to be in the NFL during that draft. you surpassed those expectations and became a once in a generation running back and made arguably the case for the fastest back ever in the NFL. You continued those amazing feats for years to come. Congratulations Chris you were amazing to watch you are one of the greats. thank you.
CJ made me a Titans fan, and now Derrick Henry has made me a diehard Titans fan. So glad I got to live to see both of these greats play, especially with how opposite their run styles are.
Incredibly well done video. I remember watching almost every one of these plays when they happened live on tv. Titan fan, and CJ2k is right up there with McNair for me. Thanks for taking the time to make this and showing the world we truly had a once in a lifetime type of player. He was an amazing player, and just a really respectful, nice guy on and off the field. Every game we played while we had CJ, there was always a chance he would carry the team to victory by himself. Henry is the first rb we have had since CJ that gives me a bit of that same feeling. But there is no replacing CJ.. there will never be another like him.
What Chris Johnson had wasn’t just great skill it was literally human art. You’ll never see a runner of his caliber ever again in the NFL and it’s unbelievable how he’d glide and juke through defenders the way he did and make it look so easy! The speed agility acceleration and power was unmatched and that’s why In Tennessee he never had under 1,000 yards. People don’t appreciate this man enough but if you really take time and look at the film you can see for yourself how amazing and incredibly gifted Christopher was and I’m glad I got to watch him as a kid and I’m forever a loyal titans fan because of him!
Yes CJ2k. He was the truth. Alot of NFK fans dont kno his history. He was a monster..a beast..omg his highlights on ESPN was like momma there gos that man again. He's was just phenomenal..loved him. This was definitely well done video 👍👍💥💥 he deserves to be in the hall of fame definitely
His skill was rare but his pure football acumen was even more rare. He always knew exactly where he needed to be on the field to maximize his production!
Chris will be recognized as the cutting edge of the Running Back position. I was a Tennessee Titans fan from the beginning and Chris Johnson is my favorite football player. He brought back the old school showtime of the NFL yet a unique game changer of being the fastest!
The reason I became a Titans fans Neva seen anigga so fast be Soo patient frfr 💪 👽 wait to set the blocks up shits really a masterpiece in motion ball is life
Thanks for this video! Don't forget about that line, did a damn good job. Also fun fact about him, he said in a interview if he could do it all over again he wouldn't pick running back.
I'm from Pittsburgh, home to most NFL Hall of Famers. I love the game. In Pittsburgh there's an informal high school feeder system to the game. I always love when a running back gets that response from the fans. As a kid there was a dude, R. Thrift who used to get that response at 11 years old
The juke he put on the Redskins cornerback is probably the best juke I’ve ever seen in football, that change of direction was a split second, and he was able to pick up speed like he didn’t even stop, wow it’s no question this guy is a HOF..💯🫡 #cj2k #legend
When Mariota has his breakout year this year. You should make a pile of compilations of how many people, and analyst doubted him leading up to his redemption highlight video. That WOULD BE SICK.
Haha. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about that. I'm hoping he pulls through. It would be a shot to the heart if we let him walk. I'll keep it in mind. 👍
I rememner turning on college football one day and east carolina was playing..i saw this man take one run to the house and fell in love with him..Great career my brotha and so much fun to watch. Canton put em in there!!! 💪💯🤘
He said "my" top 3. Not THE BEST top 3. He can pick Trent Richardson, Wendall Smallwood, and Bishop Sankey. Quit going around trying to pick a part every one on these comments. Damn! 😂😂
Chris Johnson was a Electrifying running backs in the NFL what a awesome career highlights with the titans the 1st round NFL draft pick out of East Carolina Univ. 24th overall selection but man I really really love him I miss him of what he did 2000 yards in 2009 season underrated 4.24 in the 40 yard dash so dangerous so amazing I wish he could have won a super bowl ring but it's all right he should earn something really really special a trip to the Hall Of Fame hopefully he'll get in thank you CJ2K 👍🤟👍🤟
CJ was equal to what Dallas did with Emmitt and that O'line as far as designing a scheme around a particular RB. The "Zone Block Scheme" was really re-born with what they did with Johnson, Zone scheme was like evolution in this era.
16:20 Chris Johnson get the ball. A linebacker misread responsibility to fill in the gap. He falls down before he hit the ground and look up Chris Johnson is 20 yards up the field. I know he was like damn what was that😨 😂
