Epic book. masterpiece. thx for sharing it. The Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe (CTMU) is a philosophical and theoretical framework proposed by Christopher Michael Langan. It aims to integrate aspects of cognitive science, metaphysics, and cosmology to provide a comprehensive understanding of reality. Langan's theory posits that reality is a self-processing, self-referential system, where the structure of reality mirrors the cognitive processes of a hypothetical "Supreme Mind." The CTMU incorporates concepts from mathematics, logic, and information theory to elaborate on the nature of existence and consciousness. It's a complex and ambitious theory that seeks to address fundamental questions about the nature of reality and the mind.

I like it. It dovetails perfectly into another analysis of reality Analytic idealism. They are both compatible as far as I can tell.

I own the book, and yeah its difficult. The TTS helps me get exposure to the information, and I think that it helps me with my reading down the road.

Great! O I'm an analytic idealist. I'm familiar with pancomputationalism, And most of the configurations of pantheism, from the begining ,this sounds like interesting and penetrating analysis.

my interpretation of the ctmu, is that everyting in reality is"saying": i seem to be a verb: interacting, processing, no nouns anywhere, never met a noun yet

The noun is reality as a whole. That's what makes it a "global operator descriptor" and a primary identity operator, of which there is only one. However, it defines itself internally, making it variegated within it's internal stratifications (and the various "quanta" within it can also be identified as static "objects", but special kinds of objects, obviously).

I get the gist of it, but riddle me this, if so much thought, mental sight, and effort went into writing the book , why no effort or thought to simply convey the concept using simple metaphors alongside the formal descriptions

It can’t be expressed in a RU-vid comment as brief as this one must be but the gravitational force of Langan’s explanation of explanation will be and in fact is felt by posterity for generations onward. What humanity needs now is an answer to the heart, for the mind is now satisfied. Man’s heart is too broken to appreciate this knowledge at the moment. This must and will be addressed by Its own will helped by the will of God.

@@jeffreyjdesir I get that the point of the CTMU and Chris is to remove irrational thought by providing a thorough logical proof of god and so eliminate the need for faith and the bloodshed that comes with it, but you still have to be careful for it not to become a cult built of worship or the framework of the CTMU will yield the same level or war and suffering as other irrational religions

@@STONECOLDET944 true, we can attribute superior value to anything and typically the more abstract the more justified we feel in killing each other over it (ideals, conceptions of God, class, race, etc)...fortunately coherent language itself provides the means of balance as a bonus to being also the answer. This is indeed a foundation for conceptuslizing world peace but we must remember the world consists of higher order telors made in the image of God who deserve our love and prosperity.
@STONECOLDET944
@STONECOLDET944 4 месяца назад
@jeffreyjdesir consider this hypothetically, let's say hypothetically that these higher order telors that you might consider to be " Angels " did explicitly and provably make contact with us, if then again hypothetically that love is what they hold most value in, then how would that be compatible for us? Almost all high intelligence relationships are monogamous so how could a higher order telor have an essentially polygamous relationship with people and have that be beneficial for us ? Considering consciousness is a scale, so is the emotional complexity of an entity, the more intelligent and concious a entity is, the more monogamous it is, so if you project that onto a people's hypothetically explicit provable relationship with these telors, it mirrors the vast amount of psychological problems that come with person to person everyday relationships, so proving and communicating with God and these higher order telors , might exacerbate chaos and suffering in the world.

So there's the ultimate Telon or highest in which all other telons like us (I'm gonna butcher the spelling) come from and this is a type of telonicity (I'm gonna butcher words altogether) where is the teletinivity scales up into the one ultimate telon. Thus we find out identity in the ulitmate telon. Thus, we represent the whole like a fractual? And we can even see this play out like a language? For instance the scaling up turns the tree into a forrest and a forrest into an eccosystem etc the higher you scale up? Like it scales up into oneness. Oh That makes a lot of sense. Edited to add more ideas.
