This man is who all other men should look up to. A devoted husband, father, and true to his whole family. A man who did exactly what he wanted in life, and did it honestly. Not a county boy I know who don't admire this awesome man.
Hi I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day!!
My bestfriend (now boyfriend) told me how important this song is to him. He refused to play me the song until it was the right moment. He said after everytime we hung out he listened to it. A few weeks ago he played me this song in his truck as he held me. I may have cried just a liiiittle bit. Our love for eachother grows stronger everyday and I can't wait to see where God takes our relationship. I love him so much.
It's too bad he's gone. Music is legendary. Growing up in the rodeo world and being a former contestant, he would come out and sing for free. Chris had no problem getting behind the chutes with the cowboys and not afraid to get dirty. Back in Jan of 1998, at the IPRA Finals in Oklahoma City, me and my travel partners got to sit with Chris and the band at a steak house. Down to earth and we all had a great time. Outstanding man and I felt honored to meet him and the band. He is really missed.
Indeed Sir, I played a few of his songs at the Evergreen Rodeo in Colorado when I was living up there on 2 different occasions. Good Men respect his character, Bad Men respect his ability, And Lady's just dig 'em. Greetings From The Great State of Texas.
I got to see him in concert 5 months before he passed. Full of energy, love and passion for the sport he loved. The world will never be the same without his ongoing music and talents. God Bless Chris LeDoux and his family.
Thanks so much for supporting my music 🎼 I’m so greatful 🥰 and I hope you never stop being fun ,I would like to honor you y giving you my personal information if that’s okay by you
My Dad was Chris pyrotechnics and every county fair we get go back stage eat the buffet and meet n greet and member seeing a girl dressed all pretty and was just lost cuz girls don’t dress lady like round here and think he knew how felt cuz he just laughed said you can talk to her
I walked down the aisle to this song & we walked out as a new couple to Life is a Highway! My all time favorite singer. Keep singing up there Chris! We're still listening.❤️🎶
Watched him preform live at the Eugene Pro Rodeo. My future husband knew the rodeo manager and had Chris LeDoux announce this song from Jeff to me and Jeff took me into the middle of the rodeo arena and danced with me while Chris sang it to what felt like was just us. That was 1995....
George Andrews - Chris ALWAYS sold out the Rodeo Friday Night at Western Washington Fair In Puyallup. Though I don't dip, I would have the step - son save his empty tins for my buddies to throw. RIP Chris...
Yes this was going to be my wedding song for my husband but he got killed in a car accident a week before 25 years ago.. I'm happy for you and your wife
There is no song ever written that is more romantic. Chris pulls it off like no one could ever hope to because of his deep love and devotion to his wife. RIP Mr. LeDoux heaven got a troubadour of the highest order.
When I was three years old I had a cowboy hat just like his and during one of his concerts my dad took me up to the outdoor stage and Chris signed my hat and when I got back I said "That man just put ABCs on my hat". I still have that hat some 17 plus years later and it's one of my most favorite possessions and memories. RIP Chris Ledoux king of good ol' fashioned country music.
T Man WOW what a wonderful memory to have. Aaron Tippin signed my daughters sweatshirt once but I wasn’t very happy. She was about five years old. I’d just made it by putting some of her artwork on it. He didn’t even ask. LOL He also signed a $5 for my son. Aaron’s from my part of the world and so nice.
He once stood out in the rain at an old Oklahoma dance hall to sign a rigging and picture for a couple young wild cowboys, all these years and I still have both. Thank you Chris, I miss you.
My hubby picked this song for me to walk down to when we just did our remewals on the 22nd. It was perfect. We have been married 9 yrs and the words fit. He even sang to me up in front of everyone. I felt like the only person in the room.
I've only sung this song to a couple ladies in my life because it is the kind of music you only sing to someone when you really mean it. If I ever get married, this will be the first song.
Just look at you, girl Standin' here beside me Starlight on your hair Lookin' like a dream I dreamed somewhere And look at me, girl You got me actin' just like a lover In an old time picture show And how I got the part I just don't know But it's written all across your face Plain as it can be You're the one that I was lookin' for Now you're all that I can see You mean everything to me And I'd do anything to have you stay forever I'm an ordinary man But I feel like I could do anything in the world When I look at you, girl Just look at you, girl Walkin' here beside me Misty morning light I see my own reflection in your eyes And just smile at me, girl With eyes that tell a story That words can never say Tellin' me your love is gonna stay And we're standin' right together now In everything we do And if my world should come apart I'll still be lovin' you
My husband played this for me as he posted it and this to my Facebook on June 3th, he would literally hold my hand & sing this to me, he sadly passed away on August 21st. I will always love him with all of my heart and every time that I hear this song, I will try my best to sing along, with tears in my eyes and an ache in my heart, I will always and forever love him ❤️ . . I found this song and played it for my wife, Missy Weaver Browning,.it melted her heart, I am so in love with her. I am truly blessed. This song really describes how I feel towards her. Anyway have a wonderful day I thought I would share that with you.
Got a double CD of his greatest songs, and he wasn't just an ordinary man-- he was EXTRAORDINARY!!! 🌹 rosita I wish someone could have loved me as much as he loved his wife and family. Miss you, my cowboy 🤠 rodeo star, and one of the greatest singers ever!
I am so happy to know that it makes your day. The song was written by Lanty Ross he played base for Chris for so many years. and I am the girl. always your friend.
How I agree! I have a double CD of his greatest hits. This is my very favorite song of his. So sad he's gone but his music lives on, and we can pick and choose from the real country artists that we enjoy when country music was country music as it was meant to be! Find your favorites and enjoy them. Leave the music out there not to your liking never make it to your Playlist! 🌹 rosita
Yes, Those old 8-tracks got converted to cassettes and then to C.D.'s, Every time we went to the big city, I would have to stop off at the local western supply and feed store, and get his latest tape.
Really in 1977 Idaho I was 6 years old then and remember him I lived in Orchards Washington at that time helping my father work on our vehicles, He always had a radio playing in the background in our garage and eating bolagnie sandwiches with car grease on the Bread! Best times ever had with my Father!!!
Wow the deep sadness and grief instill feel over this western gentleman. What a tremendous fellow, husband partner father and cowboy he was. May His memory be blessed
Thanks so much for supporting my music 🎼 I’m so grateful 🥰and I hope you never stop being fan, I would like to honor you by giving you my personal information if that’s okay by you....
Chris LeDoux is my favorite Country Artist by far, followed by Hank Williams JR, and his daddy Hank Willians Sr., Charlie Pride, Dolly Parton, and Barbara and Louise Mandell. My two favorite songs by Mr. LeDoux are "Hooked on an 8 Second Ride", "This Cowboy Hat", "Look at You Girl", "Cadillac Ranch" and everything else.
I remember I dedicated this song to my ex wife, it has been several years since we divorced and I still miss her every day. I know most people would say I am crazy.
I absolutely LOVE this song. Every man who truly loves his woman should send this song to her. It says everything a woman wants to hear. I am sad though that Chris was taken so young as I know that he would still be singing wonderful songs like this one xxx
I have all Chris's tapes as well as Don Williams. My boy now drives the GMC that has the cassette player. I have sinced moved on to c.d.s . I miss Chris and Don. I know I will see them in Heaven
I told my girl friend if I ever got married it be to this song.....22 years later " when I look at you girl" it still remains the same... your loved stayed ...God gave me a angel and I can't equal that gift... Love you Charan 😍

My fiancee has introduced me to a lot of great musicians that I had heard of but never really listened to. Chris LeDoux is one of them! He dedicated this song to me. Even tho we don't always see eye to eye, i know he loves me like no one else ever could! I love him more every day!
My parents have the sweetest story about this song. They were driving in AZ listening to music and I was going crazy in my mom's stomach(she was pregnant with me) and this song came on and my dad started singing and I held so still and when the next song came on I started going crazy again.
R.I.P. Chris, he was a true country legend, I`m 11 years old and he has already changed my life forever. what i would give to still have him with us and go to a concert is outrageous, i know every song he has ever put out and could recite any on the dot
Nobody, an I mean Nobody could even carry his boots ! Fill his boots, not a chance . Heaven got one heck of a guy, when Chris got called home . ML&R -Kyle L.N.O
