Not a good time to rip him guys. Just put yourself in his place, fan since '68 and had to wait 42 years to finally win. That is something I defintely respect and certainly nothing any Yankee fan has to go through. He is a real and loyal fan just like me. I just hope I don't have to wait 42 years for the Mets to win. Been watching since '95 but the day it happens if it does in my lifetime will be the greatest or close to the greatest day in my life and awfully sweet when it does.

After all the years of Dog having to listen to Mike talk about the Yanks winning Series after Series, he must be in his glory this year. You waited long enough for it Dog - congrats.

Doggie deserved this. Good for him. It's just a shame for selfish reasons as a NYC resident that he couldn't enjoy this moment as part of the Mike and the Mad Dog show. Would have been one of the best moments of the FAN for sure. Anyway congrats Dog. I know this was sooo many years ago but I somehow came across this.

Well Chris got one fact wrong. That double header at Shea in June of 1978 was not a Friday, it was a Sunday.

The Giants got super lucky in the NLDS facing a Braves team that was short-staffed. Chipper Jones and Martin Prado were out with injuries, then they lost Billy Wagner in Game 2 and that was it. Brooks Conrad never happens if Prado didn't tear his oblique the last week of the season.
