He thinks a lot even when talking. I have a feeling that he sometimes answers the questions while he has something else on his mind, whatever that might be. He kind of fades away.

Agree. It is a great album.

The problem is the fans aren't able to be in or relate to the headspace Chris was in when it was done. He's forever going to feel like that about the album, no matter how good we all think it is.

Not in my opinion. There's loads I really like on it - especially A Message, Fix You, and Swallowed in the Sea. I really like the overall sound sonically. But there are a bunch of tracks that I just don't vibe with all that much. In my opinion, their best is probably Viva. It strikes the perfect balance between having absolute bangers and being a great artistic work as a whole, with flashes of experimentation too. Ghost Stories gets pretty close to achieving that as well. AROBTTH completes my holy Trinity.
