I didnt realise how impressive the solo spins at 0:34 and 0:38 were until Diane mentioned them elsewhere. Chris cant spot so cant really be sure if hes completed the spin. They make it look effortless
This deserved more. 26 for a Samba in earlier weeks would have been good but the fact he can do these routines and hit the timings perfectly, even down to the head turning and getting up at the beginning still astounds me. It’s a shame that Chris can’t see literally and figuratively how well he’s doing, he has to rely on the audience reaction and dianne’s feedback. I hope he realises that the viewers are behind him and he increases in confidence because what he is doing for blind and partially sighted people and himself is something to be proud of.👍🏻
This young lady is an angel. She must be so patient and loving and intelligent to teach Chris how to perform like this. Winners in the publics view already.❤️
I felt so sorry for Chris he looked deflated and Dianne looked so upset too, he should have got all 7s, everyone vote for them, he’s got to be there for when Dianne’s family comes in November ❤❤
@@rainpuppy14 not that being deaf and doing strictly (and winning) is not incredibly impressive and amazing and I am not taking away from her achievement! But I think doing it blind is on another level. Much of learning to dance is visual and watching the teacher which he can’t do. He’s learning all this by Dianne just moving his limbs to explain what to do
I could sense they were disheartened but I thought it was so good!! So much technique. Every week Chris is improving and every week I look forward to their dance. Dianne is also an absolute superstar for her choreography and teaching 👏❤
As they make it look so good and effortless, we easily forget he is blind. The double trouble Chris and Dianne must go through to serious competitors. HAT OFF
I love watching Chris dance , he's just so much fun , I love it 😀......VOTE FOR CHRIS AND DIANE PEOPLE, I wanna see them next week, he's the best thing that happened to this show in a while
Loved that. It’s so amazing what Chris and Dianne are achieving. It’s not a sympathy thing (yes he’s blind but…), I’m genuinely in awe at what they are achieving. Please keep voting for them. I’d so love Chris and Dianne to win. Tx❤️
Another extraordinary performance. What he achieves on a weekly basis is truly mind blowing. The marks / result simply don't matter. No one on the series has an achievement remotely close to his. Diane and Chris are changing the whole country's (and beyond) perception of what blind people can do. Pushing boundaries and possibly changing lives is far more important than a glittery ball
I love Chris everytime he is amazing and he makes strictly amazing thank you Chris this year is better than last year thanks to you I hope Chris will win the show he is amazing dancer and I hope everyone will vote for chris every Saturday night wish Chris all the best in strictly 🤞 greetings from Holland ❤
5 my ASS?! 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 I mean no maybe it wasn’t one of his personal best but he still did a fab-u-lous job! 💙 very fun and he did actually try the hip action which is what I think it’s about (trying) ✨ as usual his timing is freaking ridiculous in the good way. Still rooting for them to win! 🤍
Five? FIVE?! Are you kidding me?! I am a former dancer/teacher. He demonstrated genuine samba - footwork, timingframe, FEEL of the dance, choreography. Even judging him on exactly the same playing field as the other contestants (as they should), he should have gotten sevens.
@@BasicYTHandleextremely frustrating that actually committing yourself to content/technique of one of the toughest dances gets a 5 meanwhile the judges gave out 8s to a dance that had the contestant stood around for half of it the same night…
I cringed when they were first but this is so pleasing to watch, so entertaining and they danced well enough. Thought they deserved a better mark!. 7.5/10. People if you love these two, please vote!
What I especially loved was the brilliant incorporation of zombie like moves to fit the theme…brilliant whilst also making sure there was lots of samba content. Fit the brief for Halloween. Well done xxx
I am beyond confused… bottom of the leaderboard and chatter about how poorly this dance went?!? What am I missing?! I thought they were FANTASTIC!! Fun mix of disco/zombie/samba and it never ceases to amaze me how Dianne is able to choreograph these phenomenal routines in such a way that you cannot tell that Chris is blind. His trust in her (and her in him) is so beautiful. I thought this was awesome, and I think they broke the Samba curse and I’m looking forward to many more “What flavor is the KitKat?” Episodes in the future 😂
Yep, scoring made no sense. Again. Nikita and Sam made a very obvious mistake (not synchronised for part of the dance), Shane Ward was static for half of his paso (if not more). And yet both scored higher. Montell and Jojo (if I remember correctly) didn't really cover much of the dance floor.
@@halflink I firmly believe that Craig has some intrinsic bias against Dianne. I honestly do not think he has ever given her a 10 in all of the seasons I have been following (since Joe).
@@thedruekefamilyadventures8890 I am pretty sure the scores are rigged most weeks (if not every week) and the order of contestants leaving the competition is decided in advance (probably at the stage of creating a line-up, because they deliberately recruit contestants of different abilities). Some contestants who have a higher level at the start are consistently scored higher (and saved in the dance-off, like last week), even if they made mistakes or their routines were cr*p, to make them immune to the public vote and keep them in the competition longer.
I missed the show but looks like he enjoyed that! Great job too by Diane as expected, she was already established but this season has taken her worth to the show even higher.
Ahhh, as soon as I saw the style, I was worried. Extraordinarily difficult for even the best ringer. To do it literally blind, as Dianne was explaining afterwards.... cannot even. Fantastic effort, and Dianne is still the Strictly sorceress! Really really really hoping they stay. I so want to see them do an AT and would be intrigued by their CC. Dare I say Dianne could still wow us choreographically!
thanks for putting a smile on my face - wonderful choreography and chemistry between them. Chris sure has got rhythm and they both have heaps of fun performing together. Now that's entertainment
We have to vote people! He went first and did the dreaded samba in Halloween week. They don’t deserve to be in the bottom two but if he is, I’m not sure the judges will save them. Please Vote🙏🙏🙏
I thought the judges were a bit unkind and weren’t so complimentary at all, considering Chris cannot see, and could still do the synchronised parts of the dance, that Dianne probably worked so hard to try and teach and tell him what he needed to do, was a bit disheartening for the audience as-well to see Chris have such negative feedback 💔. I think it was also disheartening for other people that have certain ailments aswell to hear the judges speak so negatively about Chris 💔 and poor Dianne, she deserves more praise and so does Chris, hope she might read this, to know that we all love Chris and Dianne!! ❤️❤️❤️
To be entirely fair, he needs to be scored without adjustment for disability. Having said that, I fully agree with your assessment of his performance and unfair scoring. Fully sighted Olympic champion couldn't manage synchronisation this week and yet somehow got a higher score.
@@halflink I agree with you, and I never implied that there should be an adjustment for scoring in regards to his sight. But, the judges could have been more complimentary in regard to the synchronicity parts, which we can only imagine would have been difficult for him.
Such a cute samba! Don’t worry Chris, you did well and I have a good feeling you will make it through to next week. Samba is probably the toughest dance to teach and learn, a lot of pros dread it. And besides, you made England fall in love with you. Once performance is not going to change that. Now go win that GLITTERBALL! 🪩🏆🪩🏆🪩🏆🪩
I thought the score was underrated and I loved the dance, he is so good you forget he is blind. Well done Diane your training and choreography is brilliant and you both deserve to win.
Here's hoping the public support for him is good enough to save him in the vote....... CRH's vote seemed ridiulously low, considering a virtually flawless performance foot-work/timing -wise (and I was convinced his "bobbing up and down", and "jerkiness in the top half" was just part of the characterisation)... Quite frankly, astounding performance.
I hope we sent a strong message to the judges and other contestants this week. Non one puts Baby in the corner and Chris McCausland at the bottom of the leaderboard 🤣
I don't get how people are so devasteted and worried they will be eliminated. Sure it wasn't that great but it's just one dance and other people have scored way worse this season. I'm sure they get enough votes to make sure they get to the finals if not win
Score - *7* Craig's 5 was ridiculous, it wasn't even the worst dance of the night. There was many good Samba basics here and alot more hip action and better footwork than the Cha Cha, I think the theme saved this dance aswell, because the story was the strong point here and the energy and performance they brought rather than the technique. Samba is hard for everyone and I'm glad Chris has got his biggest challenge out of the road now, unless you're a Tasha level dancer, Samba's always look abit amateurish anyway 😝 loved the disco section
@@TrueCrime05 hardly overmarked for me, what would you have given him? However there's a certain Welsh opera singer that could be applicable to being overmarked
He has very good rhythm (and looks brilliant - I almost didn't recognise him at the start of the show) but this felt a little bit laboured. Thankfully he’s too popular to leave before the semi-final. And in a way, I'm glad he got such a low score as that means he isn't being "forced to win".
This was his worst dance for me. but still blows my mind how he does this, some great fundamentals (feel like Shirley saying this 😂) just a little lacking in areas this week. cant wait for these 2 to come back next week stronger and better though, i have hope 🤞. 5/10
I would love to see the judges put theit make-up on, or do their hair in the dark, despite 30 or 40 years practice.. just saying. Chris and Dianne, you were discotastic. My winners.
gutted for Chris but samba really isn't easy plus he has NEVER EVER seen what the dances look like!!!!!! gotta give him a lot of credit trying the best he can!!! I just hope he bounces back next week!!!!! I'm glad he got this dance out the way!!!
Yes and To be fair to Dianne she has never had to train someone without showing them. 90% of how the professionals train is showing the celebrity how to do the moves
Don't watch the program as it is not about talent but social media presence and social media is not a way to win. But if there were a documentary about teaching Chris, blind, to dance verses the deaf contestant (I know there has been a deaf contestant in the USA) and how the two disabilities both fundamental to dance, are overcome - now that would be a program worth watching.
