Sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
I was thinking the same thing as I watched this: The time is just immaculate! These guys play with so much clarity that they can imply all the rhythmic feels without a drummer present - Two monsters!
The improvisation #2 is not an improvisation, it's a song. I heard it months ago on a jazz radio when I was taking a shower so I couldn't save the song. If anyone here knows the song, please tell me. 🙏
just got my upright bass after waiting 40 years ... can walk under the strings wearing a tall hat ... clearly chris has had a word or two with a decent luthier
i cannot get my bass stable enough to do the thumb position transition smoothly ... im pretty sure its simple ... covid lockdown no lessons !!! oh ... your playing is godly ... plz stop for a bit and let the rest of us get a breather and then catch up ... taxiiii!!!!
@clancywiggam The origins of the double bass most assuredly come from the gamba and violone family of instruments. Bass guitar came from the guitar family is what you may have meant...
@Rytmecharlie Wow! Fantastic Performances!!! Jeg går ud fra du er Dansk, Rytmecharlie, men just in case-> I absolutely love this video! I've been listening it to it constantly for the last couple of days, and I doubt I'll be getting tired of it any time soon. I was wondering if you have an audio file lying around of this, in high quality, or perhaps the original video, somewhere on the net? I haven't been able to find it. I would appreciate that a whole lot! Thx for sharing ur awesome vids! :)
@funkeemon That's what I'm saying!! I'm not trying to bring any negative energy but whoever posted the comment under the video should call it like it is!! 12-bar Blues in F, and There is No Greater Love in Bb. Two very friendly tunes to jam!
@seiter13 Bass guitar. Upright bass is from the guitar family originally, not the violin, but more evolved, so it seems natural that these guitar based instruments should be played like a guitar. Don't be a muppet.
i'm really not into trolling, so this is my last post on the subject: first of all, my original comment was clearly off, they are just jamming and they end up having some very good moments while at it. on the other hand, i believe i was onto something, bass guitar frequencies are way too heavy and unpleasant when holding a melody in the upper register. I'd still like to find 2 bassists jamming in the low side of the register. But all in all, I WAS WRONG.
Oh man, if you're too worried about what instrument is playing what or what each particular instrument is 'supposed' to play, then you're gonna miss what's actually being played... Also, I think they used the wrong mike on the double bass - this one is too sensitive and picks up more noise than zone.
