Chris Nealon reads George Oppen's poem "Ballad" (from Of Being Numerous), and offers an elaborated reading of the poem, while referencing earlier-cited poems by Oppen, near the close of his talk "George Oppen and the Future." Nealon's George Oppen Memorial Lecture, with an introduction by Brandon Brown, and at the invitation of The Poetry Center, San Francisco State University, took place December 11, 2021, at the East Bay Media Center, Berkeley.
