@@arushilovesmusic yes I love Ellis daily uploaded videos. Yes, I loved the 1970s. Even the time I served in the United States Marine Corps, 1973-1977. I turned 15 yrs old in 1970, it was a great time to be a teenager, except for the war in Vietnam. Stay safe and greetings from Charleston, West Virginia, USA. @@usmc-veteran73-77 Mate…. Thank you for you service🙏 and that you your brothers.. I and my grandchildren love in a nation and Southern Pacific Ocean arguably saved by your corps … we in the South Pacific forever visit their graves here & are in your debt…., so thank you🙏🌹🇺🇸🇦🇺🇳🇿… Fwiw…. I remember as a child… watch our mother in tears watching the news of the Vietnam war.., our Ww2 RNZAF father told us of the fight the “Marines” took across the Pacific… he spoke of Titans…, he seems humbled by what he has seen/ understood the marines suffer…. & My grandchildren will know in their time for the reason of their existence.🙏🇺🇸🌹
@@tigertiger1699 yes the WW-2 South Pacific Battles are part of our Marine Corps history. I had an Uncle in the Army who fought in the South Pacific and he said, "It tough fighting the Japanese, but you had to also fight the heat, humidity and the jungle."
@@usmc-veteran73-77 Mate… I can’t imagine that Pacific is beautiful.. but as you would know from the jungle…, these place can kill you.., I’ve been to north Aussie… the ocean is nice to look at… but there is nothing hospitable in it…, the kids for Brooklyn.. you name it.., they would have be just smashed by the corps.., and landed here or Aussie??, then as our mum said.. she knew the week after they went to a dance.. those gum chewing & milk drinking boys… were likely breathing water… I knew it upset her terribly… I remember the old man saying to never underestimate just how desperate thing were…he said when the USN sailed into our capital Wellington the church bells rang across the city… Eleanor Roosevelt came to visit/ live in Aussie.. , mum said her presence .. gave woman down here belief that’s the US would not walk away and leave our nations to be overrun.. I remember he said that McArthur and the Aussie government drew a line across Aussie at Brisbane..the “Brisbane line”.. and they allies & US weren’t going to defend Aussie that laid north of it… even with the US.. they simply couldn’t.. Our nations are bound in blood and debt to us each Yet people walk around aware of the earth they walk…, but… we still have deep roots

A million thoughts in my head while I listen to this. I’m 60 and I’m not sure how I found this tonight or if I’ve heard it before I just can’t remember . What a good song immediately reminded me of my wife who I lost 15 years ago to breast cancer anyway sorry for rambling but skimming through music is usually what I do now on a Friday night.
8/15/24.......Man,....i just went back to the 70's,......My late Mom always had the radio on in the morning for breakfast/coffee,....All these songs were on every morning before i went off to school ....😊😢...!!
A song about falling in love, no "what if he‘s not enough", no "what if Im not enough". Just being happy that the other one exists and being pleased with live. This song is so truely special!
I was 19 when this came out. I got my first apartment, first car and first job (with credit union and health insurance). I carved out a decent living making $4.61 an hour. I had less back then but l was happier than l am now.
What I don't understand is If It Worked Back Then, Why Are We Shying Away From It Now??? The Ol Saying If It's Not Broke, Don't What??? Don't Fix It!!!! It's like Kids today the way that the ones are so defiant and so disrespectful towards Their Elders Towards Authority And What Do We Do Bout It??? We Encourage That Kind Of Behavior Because Let Me Say This One Thing If We Did Half The Stuff They Do Today, We'd Get Our Asses Whooped For Damn Sure!!!! My Dad when he was in school if he answered wrong in class, the teacher hit him with a ruler.... You even look at a child wrong today, they wanna cry to their Mommies N Daddy's or call DSS or as we called it in Jersey where I'm from DYFS( Division Youth Family Services)
You are absolutely right, it is so amazing that we all are the same and the life experience generally is the same around the globe!!then why there is different outlook towards each other. Is this the society that has bred in such perception but irony is we all part of society and society is because of us.
Fall in love please and you will be happy again! Hello from HUNGARY....the people of the Parthian MAGYAR Hungarian JEZUS KRISZTUS....what the Jewish stupides wanted to delete the truth ...we are proud people!
those were the days... I don't remember the late 70's. mostly dance stuff/clubbing late 90's i go for, but i really like some of the older stuff. eg BeeGees
Awww yes,,this brings me peace,,,I know we had problems back then with our country,,but,we didn't have social media,,we had pencils to write letters and send mail,we had telephones, magazines radio, stereo, we played outside ,we went to the drive in,,man I miss the 70s
Chris and Suzi look like they are having a blast doing that song. Two artists that never took themselves too seriously. You can just feel the joy of music in them.
Ps. Trochę Władimir wywija, ale to jest pikuś😂
Born in 93. This music was before my time. But I wish I was around for this. So calming , rich, and full of emotions. I don’t feel any of this from my era of music 😟
“Foolishly laying our hearts on the table…” oh I can’t even explain how much this line hits… it explains that pure love that you give to someone, the love that you give with no reservations.
I had my first apartment in Fort Lauderdale/Victoria Park when this song came out. Times were so much better then and people truly trusted each other. Friends were easily made and no one hated, fought and guns were Never thought about. I wish I could just go back and relive it all over again! Thanks for the glimpse back into more peaceful carefree days and Much better music.
Bro it was called being a kid. And kids are always like that. Stop acting like you are the only person to ever experience a certain period of life, and it was so much greater than some else’s.
Our love is alive, and so we begin Foolishly laying our hearts on the table Stumblin' in Our love is a flame, burning within Now and then firelight will catch us Stumblin' in Wherever you go, whatever you do You know these reckless thoughts of mine are following you I'm falling for you, whatever you do 'Cause baby, you've shown me so many things that I never knew Whatever it takes, baby, I'll do it for you Our love is alive, and so we begin Foolishly layin' our hearts on the table Stumblin' in Our love is a flame, burning within Now and then firelight will catch us Stumblin' in You were so young, oh, and I was so free I may've been young, but baby that's not what I wanted to be Well, you were the one (oh, why was it me?) 'Cause baby, you've shown me so many things that I've never seen Whatever you need, baby, you've got it from me Our love is alive, and so we begin Foolishly laying our hearts on the table Stumblin' in Our love is a flame, burning within Now and then firelight will catch us Stumblin' in Stumblin' in Stumblin' in Foolishly laying our hearts on the table Stumblin' in Ah, stumblin' in Mmm, stumblin' in Now and then firelight will catch us Stumblin' in Oh, stumblin' in I'm stumblin' in Foolishly laying our hearts on the table Stumblin' in Woah, stumblin' in (ah, stumblin' in) I'm stumblin' In (you were stumblin in) Now and then firelight will catch us Stumblin' in
How is this not a well-known hit? I’m a 60-70s fanatic and I’ve never heard this track before until the remix made it famous 😭😭😭 Such a gorgeous song 🎶
Here in 2024. This song brings back so many great memories for me. It’s just great music all around, without swearing, sexual content or anything than for what it was intended - the joy great music can bring to your heart & soul. Another top hit from the 70s. ❤❤❤
I feel like this song perfectly encapsulates the part of being in love I miss the most. Not the sex, not having a partner as some kind of status symbol, but just simply being together and having someone to rely on and go through the good and bad times with, and I feel like my generation and younger generations have lost sight of that, that actual romance, the thing that makes love timeless and meaningful. I'm so sick of hookup culture I could cry. Why did love have to be cheapened? Why do we have to be so atomized? People used to pair up so much more often and actually stick together, now like 40% of dudes in the West (and countries like Japan and South Korea) are in the "forever alone" camp, and instead of addressing the collapse of healthy sex relations caused by the sexual revolution and feminism, the rest of society chastizes and mercilessly shames those men for being alone. This society has become so toxic and soul-crushing.
Loving your friends - that can be pretty powerful stuff! I can easily see how it could be misunderstood. Here's the funny part (sort of) - if he had been gay nobody would have imagined any love affair. Considering the attitude some people have towards anyone different - kinda weird, ain't it?
I love this piece of music so much. I had the biggest schoolboy crush on her after seeing her on Happy Days as Pinky’s little sister Leather. What a great musician.❤
I'm 59 and still enjoy this kind of music, nothing can replace those times of yesterday. People today have really missed out what America was and never to be again.
