Well, they are still around the place, there's colony on Kapati island which is rodent-free for now, so they're *ok*. Not great, but at least they shouldn't go completely extinct any time soon.
I'm surprised at how big a cheer that got. Didn't think a silly British sitcom would be so popular stateside. If I thought of British shows that Americans liked, I'd think Downton Abbey or some murder mystery like Midsomer.
That remedial orange possum you worship is the biggest liar on the planet. But I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Framing a joke around factual information isn't a lie.
Yeah, it's just weird when you have a comedian on who has great comedic timing in his stories and you interrupt. I mean I get it if it's someone boring and is struggling in their stories and you help them along.
Different shows, different styles. Chris is a bit slow, they needed to talk about the reason why he was there. Norton has a whole lot more time to allow for slow rambling stories. Stephen's style is more quick rapport, which he's very good at.
He played in goal for Roscommon minors, even played in an All-Ireland minor final in goal for Roscommon. He's allowed say they are the best team in Ireland. Not the most successful team of course, but probably the best craic!
My favorite line from IT Crowd is the one they told their boss who kept repeating it upstairs everyone knowing she was a complete idiot: "If you google "google," you'll break the internet."
Matthew Hogan Yes I do. It's the new emergency number that replaced 999. Moss tried calling it when a fire broke loose in the office, but he couldn't get the number right, so he emailed them instead. (Great episode.)
please watch Chris O'Dowd's appearance on Graham Norton's YT channel immediately and watch the entire show with him and Steve Carell and Kristin Wiig. Absolutely fuckin hysterical
I just binged Get Shorty and The Incredible Jessica James on Netflix and have fallen in love with this man. He's just lovely. His interviews are hilarious
I wish he had done more research on him. I would have loved to know about making Mascots and the Improve style of that movie. Or working on the IT crowd with that awesome Richard Ayoade, or the change from British to American Comedy, or how the unique idea of Moone Boy came to be... wasted opportunities with an amazing Chris O'Dowd.
"He said New Zealand. He...said...New Zealand **starts hyperventilating**" This is every New Zealand's reaction to being mentioned on an American talk show
This shows an interesting difference between Colbert and Graham Norton: whereas Colbert almost struggles to make Chris tell the tiger swan story, Graham Norton makes him tell it (with enthusiasm) with just a simple sentence or reference. The result is quite different!
