bearcatfan1000 nah our biggest what if year was 2009. Yao Ming and T-mac was injuried. We took the lakers to 7 games with Arron brooks, scola, and Ron artest. If we had Yao and tmac we would’ve won lol
@@jupiterstoneblackeye4563 Why would it be a joke? Warriors were injured all through the playoffs and Raptors beat em 4-2 without their best and then their third best player, plus some important key role players.
@@jupiterstoneblackeye4563 they were missing paul as well so the warriors were kd and klay with key roleplayers so I think that is much bigger deficit than just losing kd like last and again take into account yeah the warriors lost kd but the rockets also lost chris so that statement doesnt really make sense.
@@sofakingonmynuts1438 I wouldn’t say the worst. Hardens was worse as it has hamstrung the cap space maneuvering since 2016 (and has only gone up). The trade for Russ was a terrible one, but this is all par for the course with Daryl Morey.
They traded this guy for Russell Westbrook because he was “washed” meanwhile James harden wasn’t running back on offense because he was mad he wasn’t doing what cp3 was lol
To be fair at the time, CP had proven himself injury prone. No one anticipated him changing his diet and carrying a team that was supposed to be tanking to game 7 against his former team, and then taking a young team that hadn't even sniffed the play-offs in years to the fucking Finals. It's arguable all of that came as motivation from getting dumped. It's just unfortunate that had he stayed, I think that Rockets team would have made it to the Finals with Golden State banged up the following year. The whole small ball thing only resulted cuz Russ and Capela couldn't function together.
i’m giving a note to my future son, and he has to keep it going down in the family until time travel is possible so that my great great great grandson can use future medical technology to donate his hamstring to that man cp3... lol
Blowing up this team was the stupidest thing ever. I don't care how much Harden didn't like CP3, you don't trade main pieces in a team losing to the GSW with Durant in 7 then in 6. That's a championship team!
@@OnPoint88 they were down 2-3. All 6 games were decided by a single possession in the last minute. Cp3 went down in the first series. The kd warriors got blown up after 2019. This was absolutely a championship team. Westbrook was a complete liability on both ends. Get your facts straight
They didn’t blow it up cause of harden problems. Everyone forgets that they didn’t sign back Ariza, he was durants biggest problem, Ariza was the one that kept the team together.
@@fr33zah-34 it was definitely harden's fault. Ariza was overrated af. Luc was way more important. If harden didnt trade cp3 for westbrick they'd have been the favorites to win the west
@@Likerios22244 lol harden is the problem but harden is better passer and play maker than Westbrook , in control and great passing Vision , while Westbrook has low IQ and always forced and squeeze the pass
I was at this game. I didn't even realize he hit 6 straight. I just remember everyone was losing their minds as this dude got bucket after bucket. On fire is an understatement.
I mean, Westbrook carried Harden since December to March with his career high field goal percentage and sacrifice his other stats for win. Ppl can't blame his performance in the bubble, he is late to join and completely miss the team practice for rebuild chemistry due to Covid-19, and he injuries once again in the second game during the return and re-returned when the series is tied at 2-2 , the hugest moment to the team in the whole season, what do u except from a guy like that?
I was watching the Rockets games against the Cavs that year. Look at the game in 2018 in Cleveland. They definitely would have taken the title if it weren't a hamstring =(
I question harden's basketball iq sometimes if you watch CP had to wave him off like 3 times. If we didn't see him physically play well off ball in OKC I'd almost say harden has no game instincts.
LMAO are you stupid?! They got rid of CP because they knew he was exiting his prime and wasn't really an All-Star anymore. I don't care what happened in OKC, CP was not a real All-Star after his Clipper days.
@@guesswhonot1620 so they get Westbrook, an all-star right?! Another non closer and they get bounced easily! If CP doesn’t get hurt against the Dubs then they go to the finals. Harden is a wreck ball god, nothing else
Wow.. ill always have so much respect for Chris Paul. He made the thunder really good with barely any help. He is one of my favorite true point guards ever
One of the only players in the league I will honestly say deserves a ring. Not Westbrook. Not Dame. Not Harden. This guy was and still is champion pedigree, injuries just cost him so many opportunities
Fr bro look at 0:19 to 0:29 just bitching and moaning walking down the court cause he didn't get the ball, he didn't even get up the court that possession and didn't celebrate on any of CP3s shots instead of the last one🤦🏿♂️
Drafted by New Orleans, they get good. Goes to the Clippers, leads Lob City. Goes to Houston, they improve. Goes to OKC, they stay competitive. Goes to Phoenix, they improve. CP3 is that dude.
i was at game 2 in the series vs gsw. i remember as i was eating popcorn just casually watching the game and outta nowhere cp3 breaks curry and hits a shot for the 2nd game of the season. i would absolutely do anything for cp3 to have not gotten injured that year
Golden State fans will always complain that they would’ve beat the Raps in 2019, but say we still wouldn’t have beat them if CP3 didn’t get injured...the salt is real in the Bay
@@the1aj39 Ya we saw him do terrible things in the 2nd round... then again the Rockets were playing against the Lakers, but still. Would you rather ever have CP3 on your team or Russ? Personally I'd have CP3 for a number of reasons over Russ.
@@the1aj39 Typical basketball fans-know nothing about the game. Westbrook is a amazing slasher and Great playmaker- no it’s not stat piling he’s actually good at it. He’s a P&R guard with nobody to play P&R with. By trading Capela they rendered Russ even more obselete than he usually would be. The minute they traded Capela, you should have expect this. If Russ had a Good big man, you’d see him fit in a lot more. And tbh that would help the rockets overall. The team literally Lived and Died by the amount of 3’s they made. Stop blaming Russ for not making his- you knew that what you acquired him. And you didn’t properly equip him to do what he’s done for years with success
@@anthonydeshields9613 I'm not even a Rockets fan lol but I mean yeah if you guys TRADED Capela away to HELP Westbrook and he played like trash when they needed him the most then yeah he's a liability
Maybe I’m hating a little bit but if Harden doesn’t get the ball the man doesn’t motion, doesn’t cut, doesn’t screen. He literally just stands there. At least run to the corner and take your man out of the play lol
Cp3 harden Gordon tucker capella was the bomb. Would’ve won the chip if it weren’t for that injury🤦♂️ and people call harden trash. He was by far the closest to beating the big 3 warriors and he was the only one to be selected as an allstar on his team🤦♂️
One thing you cant say about chris paul is that HE is a choker. He has only truly choked once maybe twice in the playoffs, otherwise hes been one of the most clutch guys jn the league
If you think about it, this years Suns team is built like 2018 Rockets. This Rockets team is obviously better but the Suns can do a little bit of damage
I love how CP3 denied James Harden, and you can see that even though the Rockets was about to make it to the next round, Harden wasn't happy. Seems to me that James Harden do not care about winning.
