This is THE song. The song that had me hooked. The song that made me rewatch it half a dozen times. Every Disney movie's got one "THE song" that does it for me, and for Wish, this was it.
The At All Cost scene was that one scene that solidified my suspicion that the movie hatewatching was severely overblown and unfair to the film and that it was just so amplified simply because the movie had Disney's branding and everyone was just so eager to join the Wish hate bandwagon. Had this been a movie created by a different brand, a different corporation, it would have not received so much backlash. It was a good movie. Not the best but definitely not hateable especially with this scene. It's definitely far from how many reviewers paint it out to be.
Best comment on the internet. I always said "if this movie was made 15 years ago, people would've loved it, and not just cause of the animation." People have such a biased opinion against Disney and it's so freaking annoying
I think it was such a big disappointment because the movie was marketed as the celebration for the company's 100 years. So, people were expecting a lot, and honestly... I don't blame them 🤷🏻♀️
Well it’s mainly because a lot of people actually wanted the movie to be good, there may be a good chunk just hating on it, but a lot of it is really a community wanting to fix what went wrong with the film, because we really could’ve had a lot, the first villain couple, a star boy, there’s even someone making their own version of the movie, so it’s kind of a fandom making their own version, but I respect your opinion, like all others.
At all costs and This wish reprise were the only good songs in the movie. And the only ones I liked. I FEEL ROBBED AND HAVE BEEN WATCHING FAN ANIMATICS FOR DAYS 😭
I love the movie! I watch it three times already and I bought Funko Pops of Asha, Magnifico, Amaya and Dahlia💜✨🪩 And it makes me very happy that people started to give it a chance after it premiered on Disney+ instead of believing haters!
Magic, excitement, wonders, music, action, fantasy, thrills, and adventures. What a wonderful song from Wish. The chorus sang it. I never gave up believing in fairies and magic with all my heart because I still refuse to grow up. I am like Peter Pan and have his youthful spirit 🎼🎵🎶🌌🌠🌟⭐✨💫🪄🔮🧙♂️🧙♀️🧙🦄🧌🧞♂️🧞♀️🧞🧜♂️🧜🧜♀️🧝🧝♀️🧝♂️🐉🐲🧚🧚♂️🧚♀️
I love this song and the two characters!! I also wanted to see them who built a relationship like a teacher and disciple and a father and daughter, but I'm glad that they are classic heroes and villains😍 💎🔮
Fascinating. The ending of this is different than the final version of the song. Notice that Magnifico isn't harmonizing with Asha in the final line her and the audio is much "clearer" and louder. I wish Disney would release Magnifico / Asha versions only. This is an unbelievable song and scene.
Love you as one does works way better in terms of art, romance, and general messages, as "Promise as one does" doesn't make very much sense But the song is still stellar ILOVEITSOMUCH
Nothing Else to say About at all cost other than it's such a beautiful song. And another one of those Disney Songs where one of the characters does a Duet between her And the Villain. ( Example: Love is An open door from Disney's Frozen ❄️)
WOW Now That’s An Awesome Music Video Of The “Chris Pine, Ariana DeBose - At All Costs (From “WISH”/Clips Based Video)” Good Job & It Is Truly The Most Beautiful Song Ever If Only It Works Well Along With Every Other “Disney Characters” Throughout Over The Years For The Honor Of The 100th Anniversary Of “DISNEY (Disney: 100 Years Of Wonder)” :-)🏰💯🧑🧑🧒🧒✨🤩😎🥳🏆🛍️🎂🎉🎁🎈🎞️📺🎥🎟️🎬📀🧀🥤🍿🌭🍭🥨

for example if I wished for the will to inspire others. What could I inspire them to do? I could make them riot, steal, kill for me. That was his wish, though it was for good reason it still was very dangerous and I believe the King had a point. She just wanted to see his wish come true without seeing the consequences of not thinking outside the box.
I have two big comments I want to make and I want to know what you think of them. My first comment is that in the RU-vid video from user 'Not the Bee' called "Disney's Wish: New Masterpiece, or Woke Garbage? Let's watch the trailer and possibly overreact.", there is a RU-vid comment from user 'Gray Martineau' underneath it that reads: "In theory, this movie would work if it was otherwise a compelling and thorough deconstruction of the whole "when you wish upon a star" theme that the Disney company is built on. It would have a more somber and cynical tone compared to every other movie they've done as it would explore deep themes about ambition and the uncomfortable truths of life and existence. The story could end with the main character coming to terms with the fact that not all wishes are meant to come true and accepting reality for what it is, and no matter what happens, life will still go on. However, there are good and noble things in life that are worth wishing for, even if there are no guarentees. She could even reconcile with the king who would otherwise be portrayed as a reasonable authority/parental figure who really wants what's best for his people, even if it's an overwhelming and often thankless responsibility. On a side note, the wishing star could play the role of villain who hides behind a veil of faux-innocence and manipulates people who dream of something more and takes advantage of their naivety for it's own gain, and thus cause inadvertent damage to it's victims and everyone around them. It could contrast with the king as a representation of chaos, destruction, and temptation. This could also show that the pursuit of one's hopes and dreams, at the cost of their happiness and well-being, can indeed change them for the worse and drive them to the point of insanity or despair."
And my second comment is that in the RU-vid video from user 'YINSED' called "Why King Magnifico is a Disappointing Villain", there is a RU-vid comment from user 'BumpBob Looly' underneath it that reads: "Found it on TV Tropes: Unintentionally Sympathetic: After the movie's release, some people view King Magnifico as this for a variety of reasons. His tragic backstory of his family and home being destroyed and him vowing to protect his kingdom from suffering that same fate, as well as his stated reasoning to Asha for not granting Sabino's wish has much more ground to stand on than intended and the people of Rosas are shown to live content and peaceful lives for free under his rule even with how he handles the wishes. Some also see his fate as Karmic Overkill as his actions that could be considered evil were only committed after he had been corrupted by the Book of Forbidden Magic, which he had only began using reluctantly and out of desperation. Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Queen Amaya giving up on trying to saving Magnifico from the Book of Forbidden Magic's corruption just because it says that it's not possible has lead to some not feeling as much sympathy towards her as the film wants. Queen Amaya was originally going to be a villain in an Unholy Matrimony with King Magnifico, running the kingdom of Rosas as a crime family not unlike the The Sopranos. She was also going to have a Sphynx cat called Charo as her pet." And those were the two comments I want to share with you guys. What do you think of them. Please let me know and thank you.

I said it before and I'll say it again: This song DOESN'T work as a hero/villain duet. If Disney ever decides to remake "Wish", they should include Starboy and include this song as the love duet it was originally meant to be.
@@Z3N1TY0 Yes, it was. The original lyrics were "love you as one does" rather than "promise". Songwriter Julia Michaels even said she originally wrote 'At All Costs' as the sort of song you would play at a wedding.
