I literally saw this as a trilogy, I saw the orginal scene from GOTG on twitter with the caption in the morning, Then later in the day i saw a sketch version of the scene with mario and bowser. Now the full 3d animation is recommeded to me. The internet is too fast😭

@@commenterimjustacommenter we should give him a chance since Martinet isn’t immortal either they will need a new voice for Mario or just stop making games of him. This could help people through that transition rather then just making a game with a different voice and hoping fans will be okay with it.

I know the movie's by illumination, but the fact that Chris and Jack Black and Seth Rogan among many others are voicing the characters are kinda selling it for me
@W Shiflet i hope illumination will be the new Dreamworks and make actually great movies. Not that they don’t since I love their movies but I want everyone to enjoy illumination and sing 2 and the rise of gru be their redemption and super mario bros part of their redemption too
@@PussInBootsTheLastWishFan2003 While I do enjoy some of Illuminations films as well, they certainly have the potential to push themselves to new heights and be more then just your standard run of the mill normie pleasing movies. They could one day make their own Into the Spiderverse.
@@BlazeHeartPanther while as much I hope so, they built their company by making cheap films, so most of the budget goes towards casting actors and marketing. I hope they change their philosophy in the future but until then, their vision is going to not reach others that took risks
I really dont think it's that bad. Besides, the casting won't change how the rest of the movie will turn out. I'm more interested in everything other than the cast for this honestly.
@Noah Castro I mean I don’t think he’s gonna be doing an italian accent. Clearly they’re not going for serious accuracy to the characters, they’re just trying to make a popular, accessible and potentially funny movie. Chris Pratt doesn’t fit Mario per se, but he fits the relatable protagonist nicely.

I agree. Why Christ Patt? and who would anybody recognize his voice as Mario? Why couldn’t they just give Charles Martinet the voice role as every other game has him as Mario?
Simple: it’s illumination. Part of universal, a Hollywood company. Hollywood wants to make money. Now tell me, which will draw a bigger crowd of people, including those who don’t play the games: Mario Bros starring Chris Pratt or Mario Bros starring Charles Martinet?
I genuinely forgot that Pratt was voicing Emmet in the Lego Movie the first time I watched it so I'm sure he could pull something off to make it seem natural. Still no matter how you split it, it WILL sound very strange to hear Pratt's voice coming out of a cherry-cheeked italian man in overalls...
