I'm disappointed that everyone likes his voice now. Almost like everyone forgot what Mario is actually supposed to sound like. I'm disappointed in the audience. At least the critics understand he was bad in it. I'm glad there still some hope in this country rofl.
People keep saying he doesn't sound like Mario By that logic Chalres is the only Mario that sounded like Mario When other characters like Peter cullen and Lou Albano sounded nothing like Charles What im trying to say here is that people need to realize thata they're are other takes of Mario
I just met Chris Pratt at the Santa Barbara film festival and he was so awesome and very nice to me . We talked about Jurassic world , and Crichton and the new Mario movie . I admire him as the new man for movies and series . He’s the best
As a Mario fan of my own, I am absolutely fine with Chris Pratt voicing Mario. I know at some points there might be some serious moments and I Actually love Mario having a little more of a serious tone or moment Just like Sonic in his games or movies, I'm totally fine with him. Voicing Mario.
At first, it was funny when I heard he's voicing as Mario. After the First teaser trailer, I wasn't really sure, but I didn't hate on it. Now after watching clips, TV spots and the final trailer, I'm getting used to it

Also, I got a better theory of the Marioverse: What if the Marioverse expanded because of the Big Bang Ending in Mario Galaxy, creating non canon Mario franchises like Mario + Rabbids and the Mario movie (This may not he true, but it's pretty cool to think about)
Once again, Chris Pratt confirms something a lot of us knew...the voice from the games wouldn't fit a 90 min. Storyline. It is still Very important to find the Right take for Mario to suit the narrative, not just the Obvious take to suit a trademark icon. Plus, it's not like we can't get used to this voice change...once we realize the Mario Bros. had different voices in the past before Martinet(and he's playing the Father in this movie). This change is nothing...compared to the Whole experience! ❤

I don’t care what the haters say. I think Chris Pratt did an amazing job voicing Mario and I honestly had such a fantastic time watching the movie. Going again in five days.
I mean while if you really go deep into the lore there are a decent few things about Mario and Luigi I think Chris had a good point and he really seems to imbed a new life into Mario and while I myself was skeptical at first at this point I feel like people who dislike it are just because it’s not exactly how they remember and not playing into their nostalgia

@@volourn9764 cause I know how Mario’s original voice sounds? And it would be kind of weird and annoying hearing his original voice speak fill sentences/lines. His original voice is suited for his iconic one liners.

It's not clear where Mario was born, all Miyamoto said was "Make him Italian and put him in New York". Both Italian American born in Brooklyn or Italian who immigrated to Brooklyn work.
@@liviecarter1854 If you saw the plumbing commercial trailer ... That's the OG theme from the 80's show and the paid actor the Mario bros hired was actually the voice of Peach in the cartoon ( known as Princess Toadstool up until 1996 where she used her name Peach in 64).
Chris (Starlord) Pratt is going to be super as the voice of Super Mario. The last voice acting that he ever did it was Disney and Pixar's Onward since 2020.

i'm ready for this movie and idc who's voice it is its still Mario and besides films are suppose to be different than the games themselves but still people still hate this guy being Mario seriously i grew up playing a lot of Mario games and honestly i couldn't care less for the voices and also Mario has a Brooklyn ascent in this which is a reference to the old Mario cartoons and Charles wasn't the first Mario voice in this franchise there were others before him and also its a film of course Mario's gonna talk you fools

If people are unhappy about his voice well look at the 1980 cartoon series. Besides do people really want to hear 1 1/2 hour of a high pitch mario voice like in the video also Mario hardly says anything in the games.
Yes people want to hear Mario being Mario. He's spoken for hours in Mario's Game Gallery and Mickey Mouse as well as Goofy Movie prove cartoon voices can work in cartoon movies.

Interesting comparison by Chris, seeing a movie 10 times is 15 hours but we do play games for hundreds or thousands of hours. I hope for more good video game movies.

Ignoring the fact whether he fits the role or not it sucks that Charles martinet wasn’t the one that was cast. Martinet absolutely loves Mario just imagine how much effort he would’ve put into the movie performance and how happy he would be in all these interviews plus It would be refreshing to have a movie with actual voice actors in of instead of celebrities for the sake of just marketing also despite voicing Mario for years he truly never got to fully VOICE mario all we heard from him is if you were who’s and some sentences, but that’s it. Nothing big like a movie or TV show would’ve been nice for him to do that and show off that mario’s game voice can actually work in long form content
All I know is that if Chris Pratt continues to voice Mario in the movies, i won't be watching them after this one. At least until it's streaming just so i could change the language to French. I rather have Mario sound like Mario. At least he does in the French version. So I'll be able to enjoy the movie more. Extremely disappointed in the audience for saying his voice is good. This is why I don't listen to the audience when I watch something. I actually do trust the critics cause i usually come out with the same star rating they do when i watch a movie. I never agree with the audience. 3 1/2 would be 4 with better casting.
