Tim's work on the bass on ArSe and this song specifically is so damn good. That ending bass line/solo is the cherry on top. Flash is next, and Jon hits you with with some rather bizarre lyrics here. As usual lol. Really looking forward to The Rattler and Shelf Life reactions after Flash!!
This is one of the the only emo era band that actually grew up and gave us adults just enough emo attitude to keep that part but they are just a great band and have a great all around sound
I've been waiting so long for this reaction. This is one of my favorite DGD songs, if not the definitive favorite. Always a banger through each listen. It's funny you mentioned it sounded like a DGD church service performance considering later on in the album there's Gospel Burnout which definitely fits that vibe as well.
The person that made this video is the same person that did "Summertime Gladness" so i was told.... And Jon did the pre-chorus with Tilian and the bridge right before Jon's outro. go back and listen and at the end it might be the whole band. wouldnt be surprised if Andrew was part of it.
I’m pretty sure that choir section at the end is the full band, or at the very least, all their vocalists, so Tilian, Jon, Will, and maybe Andrew. If so, that would make this and Uneasy Hearts the only two DGD songs where Jon does clean vocals (he’s layered with Kurt & Nic during the chorus of that one) But if you want to hear some actual solo Jon cleans, check out Rabbit Hole by Secret Band.
