Yeah the background guitar you’re describing is just guitar chords with an efffect on them, most likely using an EQ plugin to make it sound atmospheric and far away/echoey. My band uses this effect a lot because it adds lots of depth! Glad you’re checking these guys out man 🤘
P.S. if you wanna see the band, "Cloud Cascade" has a pretty cool music video and it's also a pretty good song! However, I think some of the other song on the album are even better. "Reflection Room" is probably my favorite from the album aside from this song. Oh and also, there is only one vocalist! He does both the cleans and uncleans!
Incredible band for sure them and Dance Gavin Dance are both my favorite bands of all time. Their old stuff is just plain 🔥 Agora, Half life, Celestial Floods, Vacant, Luna, and White Wolf sometime soon! Awesome job too man keep up the reactions!
They are a 4 piece band. The 1 vocalist does both screams and cleans, Marcus Vik the vocalist on this album replaced their singer from all their other material.
They use a lot of reverb, thats probably what you're hearing. Also there are a ton of layered harmonics playing in the background, they are the kings of atmosphere.
Look up Rolo Tomassi, but you need to listen to Aftermath and Rituals straight through. It will blow your mind and you will not expect what happens in Rituals
