Really funny video from the Chris Rock show on how not to get your ass kicked by the police. I know they are other versions of this on RU-vid but this one is better quality, Enjoy :)

I know right Chris rock was funny as hell being able to make humor out of unfortunate situations back then. I’m glad those problems were addressed more recently in the past years though police brutality is getting better every decade 💯
This should be mandatory viewing about once a month from Junior High School on. The only thing I object to is the "get a White friend." That really isn't needed if you follow the other rules.
"If the police have to come and get you, they're bringing an ass-kicking with them". That's not just hilarious, it's actually very real advice. So many people would be totally fine if they didn't choose to run and otherwise act foolish.
Should they beat you half to death for running? Of course not. Would I beat someone half to death for making me have to chase them down? Of course. Don't expect cops to be any better of a person than you.
It's also true that if Rodney King would have just pulled over and cooperated as per the advise of this public service video, the police would not have kicked his ass.

I’m white and have been doing the following every time I’ve been stopped by police (many times, I don’t drive slow). Pull over to the side of the road, switch engine off, roll down drivers window, hands on the wheel. Cops don’t know for sure what they’re walking up to. your car may have been stolen and you aren’t aware of it for example. These easy steps help put the cop at ease. I have been stopped for speeding at least 10 times in the last 20 years and have yet to get a serious citation. They always knock it down to something very minor. Taking the stress off the cop makes a difference.
Police officers deal with so many fools, jerks, bums, criminals, and deadbeats that they are positively eager to let an honest citizen off the hook. All you've got to do is appear to possess a modicum of common sense. It's a really low bar.

No....we are having some civil discourse with people not being able to follow common sense and just follow orders given by police officers. hence this video should serve now as a public service announcement to remind folks - dont screw with them and they'll have no reason to screw with you....
My friend was 19 and drunk and freaking out when i got pulled over i was like "just shut the fuck up! I got pulled over for speeding, he's not even going to look at you"
Devin O'Mara Sadly true, making someone chase you triggers aggression in the hind brain. While we can HOPE a level headed person can keep it in check, once adrenalin is up, there are no guarantees.
Scorp Sixonesix your not suppose to run from the cops... it doesn't have much to do with the "hind brain". Flight or flight kicked in and you ran like a guilty bitch, they will take you down and once you're ass is subdued they will figure out why you decided running was the better option.
Shane Camburn "90% of the time they just want to know what you are up to. You run, that is like a silent admission of guilt." Not according to the Supreme Court. If you have done nothing wrong and are in what is considered a safe environment, you are under no obligation to stop and can legally ignore a police officer. They won't like it but the law is on your side.
Matthew Bradley You are correct, but at the same time, if an officer approaches, and asks what you are doing, and you break and run for no seemingly particular reason, then you are creating a scenario that places you on a "questionable" side of probable cause. I know it has been contested both ways and won/lost both ways in the past. However, the idea that an innocent man has no reason to run remains a common logic. Therefore, in most cases, this will be viewed as a reasonable act for the pressing of probable cause which lifts the burden of unlawful search and seizure. Yes, technically, by law - you are within rights to not speak to, keep moving, and totally ignore law enforcement - IF you are not being stopped for any law breaking witnessed by the officer. However, this certainly will make you quickly unpopular with the police and they will look for their loopholes to get back at you. I have known to many police officers that make such things a point of their day.
It’s so true! I ran from the cops once they whooped my ass and then let me go with a warning. That’s what I get for illegally smoking weed in the middle of a public park!🤦♂️😂

I think its funny when people who clearly have a bias try to state a point. Like literally that is not even reason logic or sense but because youre white and everyone lets you have you way, youre like a an obese child eating cake.
Yeah. Every time, when over hear in Europe something with "police brutality" happened in the US and the news report it like "An Afro-American Man got killed during a police control. Police shot him, the community is enraged etc.", people are instantly reacting like "Ah look, the racist american police again"... and when I ask "Well, how did the controlled person behave in the situation, what did he do, what may caused the shooting?", everyone loses their minds... and then days later, when more details are known, often (sadly not always) there is a description like he made a sudden movement to his hip, which the officers interpreted as the guy grabbing for a gun and shot him first or something like that, where I think "Man, why were you so stupid? Why did you do that? Didn't your parents teach you how to behave in the presence of police?" I mean, I personally live in Germany, we have nowhere near such a liberal gun law as the US, so guns are absolutely not as proliferated here as over in the US. But even here police is armed with guns and if I, as a white guy, would get into a control and would make a sudden, unpredicted movement with my hands to the hips behind my back or something, you can be sure as hell that the police officers at the very least would've brandished their pistols and take aim at me (and only that if I'd be lucky in that situation), just as they were trained to do, to protect themselves in case I'm a crazy guy trying to attack them. In German Context it would most probably not a gun but a knife, that crazy people could be armed with at most, but still, a dangerous weapon against which an officer here would have to defend himself, if need be with his gun. I'm not saying that absolutely every case, where an Afro-American died in a police control, was the fault of said Afro-American, there are sadly also cases where the guy behaved correctly and still got his ass booked, beaten or shot by a racist cop in the past. And that Afro-Americans land quicker in jail than white guys is also a proven fact, proven by scientific studies. But there are more than enough cases where the guy fucked up and, unwillingly, provoked the cops to take action against him. So yeah, Chris Rock is absolutely right: Obey the law, be polite, do as you're told by the police and shut the fuck up and you get away fine in every country of the world, not just the US.
@@elliottbaker201 The majority of victims that BLM was "protesting (rioting) in the name of" were killed because they were armed with an illegal weapon that they refused to relinquish, they were on drugs, they fled from the police, they attempted to take the weapon from the officer or they tried to assault the officer. The reality is that only roughly 1% of *all* police shooting victims in the United States are unarmed. The majority of the time, the shooting is found to be justified because of the actions of the victim prior to, or during their interaction with police. Which is the point the person you're replying to is making, and it is absolutely true. Not only that, but they acknowledged that their assessment of these situations doesn't apply to every case. So bringing up one example where it doesn't apply really doesn't refute anything they said. However you saying people only "talk about the actual overreach" is 100% wrong and it's not even debatable.

@no name "black people could follow a few rules". Its not that simple my dude. There's a history in this country, and black people are scared, and for good reason. Police don't always uphold civic trust and treat black men with an added layer of suspicion which leads to unnecessary confrontations. Also, defunding the police is and always was a bad idea. It may be grounds for arrest. So this is purposefully exaggerated. If you guys knew Chris Rock's stance on law enforcement you'd understand that he does not back the blue. Nuh uh, it's a form of slavery to the State that the Democratic Party wants and blacks choose this way of life at a higher rate than anyone except Muslims (Muslims see it as Jizya and use it to fund their Jihad). You see, the Democratic Party never stopped being the party of slavery. Hey if you follow the steps and still get your ass kicked it looks a LOT better in your lawsuit if all the video footage shows you being a compliant suspect. Instead of y'know of leading the police on a nine mile car chance blasting "f the police" running from the stop while pulling godknows what out of your pockets.
