Chris Sheppard is pretty much a childhood hero of mine. I always saw him as a nonconformist, and during a time in my life when I was being ostracized for being a nonconformist myself, I found that very comforting and empowering at the same time. You guys might think that's dumb, but it's the truth. Thanks, Chris!
@DarkSkyVideo Didn't he do both a Friday night and a Saturday night show. I thought that one of those nights was live from Club R.P.M. and I remember that you could watch it on what was CHCH t.v. at the time and listen to him at the same time. It was what we looked forward to listening to every weekend at a house party. Do you remember that after him until the early morning from 1-6am was Deadly Hedley Jones.
Commercial as he was, Shep did rule. However, "invented the rave scene in Canada"? that's ridiculous. He was definitely smart enough to capitalize on a trend, but as far as pioneering it...no. There's a million other things he should be taking credit for, not inventing rave in Canada.
