I get so depressed at the shit that you see going on in the world,,,, then you hear this amazing music and this video..... such happy people...Young, old, Black , White, and i dare say others too, what an inspirational vid...... Fantastic... cool tune too
I can't tell you the number of times I've watch this video...And each time two word come to mind. Sheer joy. Love to see people getting down in the sunshine. LOL
I just love the 1940's film at the beginning of the cars and the two girls who remind me of the way my mother looked back then. Also I adore the roller skaters.
Man i miss Venice Beach! Venice Beach, Rosecrans Skating rink and Cerritos Skating rink and World on wheels.... lmao 😂. Ohhh my GOD those were some good times. RIP to Big Rod from Wilkie Street in Gardena, California. Tought me the "Big Rod Bounce" and i brought it to New Orleans skating rinks and made a life time of friends 🤙
Great Artist , I have all your albums , love your playing style unique , I Can't Help Myself, my favorite song , thanx for giving us good mood every time when listening one of your wonderful songs.
I love this for so many reasons. Chris always captures a feeling in his songs and it's always positive. Venice is such a fun place. Always something going on. The streets of LA in the 40's is just the best. Thank you for the video!!!
Before I was 21-years of age going to Venice was a weekend pleasure (from Highland CA) the Beatnik era ✅. I recently discovered Chris Standring on iHeart music. I've created a Standring station which is played frequently. This video is a great 👍🏼 discovery. Thanks ❗️
Chris This is AWESOME! Love it... and you are correct, Matt is great. Gonna post this on my pages and share with My World. Thanks for letting us watch... and for sharing. You are still the best. Chris
Love This one! It's Brilliant! So Glad You put it on The Remix CD a couple of months ago. I blast in the car....this song has such a great and happy Groove! Well Done!!!!
Hey Chris! I really appreciate your art. I really like that you captured L.A. culture I grew up in and still do. Weekly, we skaters go to just about all of the rinks around in Southern CA such as in Cerritos, Covina, and even the infamous World On Wheels in the heart of LA. Lord willing, I'll be even older than "Papa Smurf" in the plaid shorts, still "Twenty-Oneing" and "Crazy-Leggin'" on wheels, continuing to create fond memories of sharing soulful times with people of all backgrounds. .
I still go down to Venice and watch for the skaters. I used to go in the early 2000's and watch the skaters with DJ Blue. where are they now. The music was great too. this is my first time seeing them put to Jazz tho. I like it.
We went to see Chris in Milton Keynes, The Stables. He was great. First time I ever heard him, my husband is a great fan. I love this track and I love this video, I keep going back and playing it. We are going to Venice Beach in June and staying just around the back of where this was filmed. I cant wait to go. Great video Chris, you make some really fantastic ones (I love the marching people in hats, sorry cant remember what its called!)
U know beat like this n background video deserves only word AWESOME... good vision, well thought of editing very attractive n entertaining I am going to guess the era between 1978 -1984 maybe little before or little after + -
This is sweary amounts of good. You just got a new fan, I will spread the word. I love your guitar tone,. As a massive Ronny Jordan fan, respect to you man.
How refreshing. A Chris Standring music video that isn't thinly-veiled pornography. Seriously, this video of the skaters without demeaning and devaluing woman is superb.
Old adage, the first one to resort to insults and demeaning attacks rather present an intelligent exchange, loses the debate. It says everything about you that my post about it being refreshing to not be subjected to porn in order to listen to good music, evoked a vile response in you. Why is that? You do not know me, yet, you have given me the power to upset you. A wise man once pointed out, "When you squeeze an orange, you will always get orange juice. When someone squeezes you, the real you always comes out. Is that real you ugly, bitter, insulting, tense, raging? Or are you smart, wise, kind, open to different views? Choose to be better."
Well Chris, I have that s&!# eaten' grin that I get when I hear something that blows my musical ear and artistic eye. This is a great peace and It should go onto the CD as a video pearl for us to have when buying the CD.;) Thanks Amigo.
Fantastico ... Just Great !!! O my ... I Luv the Beat ... And ... What a Good Mix with those skaters CLASSIC ... TQ for SHARING this ... CHEERS ~ ED (y) :)
