Stapleton is fire 🔥!!! But you should react to "I Was Wrong", the Austin City Limits video...it not only showcases his amazing vocals, but his guitar playing as well. It's unbelievable!!
Musicians change guitars during shows for several reasons: 1. Guitar out of tune. 2. Different guitar tuned differently (like down a half step, or having all 6 on the same chord) 3. Technical issue 4. Different guitars have different tones. Chris has been playing long enough that he probably has a few different guitars that he like for certain songs.
Chris Stapleton “What are you listening to” would of been a great song to listen to after this one. Just as a follow on to the story in the lyrics. An it’s one of my favourite from Chris.🇬🇧🙏🏻
He is my favorite. Here are a few more you'll enjoy. 1 Death Row 2 Either Way 2 Daddy doesn't Pray anymore 3 Sometimes I Cry 4 What are you Listening to 5 Millionaire That's a good start. 👍
If you want to hear him play guitar.. watch.... I was wrong.. live Austin City Limits. Each guitar is tuned different... So they don't have to take time between songs to retune for the next song.
I didn't read all the comments but just FYI the harmonica player is explained in Tennessee whiskey same concert at farm aid but he play with Willie Nelson for 47 years. And Willie started Farm Aid to help farmers keep their land.
Some guitars may have a certain tone the artist wants. Also, a guitar might be tuned differently. You might have one tuned traditionally, another ready to go with an open A tuning, etc. In this case, he switched out a guitar that had a capo on the 3rd fret to one with a capo on the 2nd fret. It had a bit of a different tone from the one he used on the previous song, too (Them Stems). I think you'd dig him singing "I Was Wrong." The Austin City live version is a good one.
His wife wasn't there cuz she was super pregnant! I do miss her voice in it, especially when he does Tennessee whiskey ❤ look up st. Jude radiothone and Chris and his wife sing "I HOPE YOU DANCE" His wife Morgan actually sings, and not just backup ❤
Country has amazing songwriters and very creative when it comes to their videos. Must check out: Eric Church - Lightning Jamie Johnson - High Cost of Living
this song is actually a cover also sorry I cant remember who did it originally I want to say like Travis Tritt back in the day could be wrong on the artist but I do know for sure it is a cover so is Tennesse whiskey original on that one is David Allen Coe but he does them so much better in his style
WILLEY UNLIKE TENNESSEE WHISKEY CHRIS ACTUALLY WROTE "NOBODY TO BLAME". WITH CHRIS BEING A PROFESSIONAL SONGWRITER SINCE 2001 (BECOMING A MULTIMILLIONAIRE) & NOT BEING DISCOVERED UNTIL 2O15 HE WILL RELEASE HIS VERSION OF HIS SONG THAT HE WROTE MANY YEARS AGO EVEN THOUGH HIS CREATION HAD BEEN RELEASED BY SOMEONE PREVIOUSLY. THAT FACT IS IMMATERIAL SINCE WRITER OR WRITERS OF ANY SONG IN THE U.S. RETAIN THE COPYRIGHT TO SAID SONG UNTIL THEIR DEATH & THEIR DESCENDANTS RETAIN THE COPYRIGHT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 70 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MORAL TO THIS STORY IS THAT ALL "COVERS" ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL. THAT'S A FACT. PERIOD!!!!!!!!
