His tongue hanging out of his mouth is actually a singing technique he's using to fully open his vocal cords so he can make that huge jump to that high note. It's kind of awesome.

Van, I think we all agree that Chris Stapleton is in a category all by himself. I’ve seen other RU-vid reactors question what genre he belongs to. My response is that he is in the “Chris Stapleton” Genre. Except for his recent album, I have all of his music on my iTunes list. There’s no one like him out there!

A four-line chorus that's the backbone of the song... I get the pauses, but letting it play just ONE time (out of three) uninterrupted through the chorus would have given you the flow... But yeah, he's a beast.

I do love me some Chris Stapleton. He's fantastic in any genre he tries. Definitely check out him and his missus doing Amanda at the Grand Old Opry. It showcases Morgane's lovely voice as well as his. Also, give Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore a listen. It's a beautiful song by him. I second I Was Wrong at Austin City Limits. Great reaction, Van.
