Chris Stapleton- What Are You Listening To Live Acoustic Reaction 

I've been playing for over 50 years, and know what this kind of talent it really takes to put on a performance like this. He's standing there with a guitar, a mic, and pretty much nothing else. Chris is a once in a generation song writer/performer with a style all his own. It doesn't fit into any category completely, so when I tell people about him I say he's an Americana style artist. I think they get it once they hear him.

This is a great Stapleton song for this comment. I know you appreciate his vocal Talent and musicianship but are we all going to just ignore that this man is one of the most brilliant song writers in current music.. Just saying in case nobody is paying attention :) Just sit and think about this song what does it say? We had a great thing it went bad now all I do is listen to our song and think about you and what might have been and I also wonder what you are "listening to" is it the same thing? missing me? or have you moved on? or are you listening to something to try to help you forget? , just think about the brilliance encompassed in this simple lyric guys just saying for those that dont realize it.

He is a once in a lifetime talent. She gets it for sure. He vocals are unmatched and he writes 98% of his songs. And his guitar talent.....I mean WTF !!!

If you haven't figured it out yet he is a very good songwriter he is wrote several number one hits for country singers he says he was so scared to get on stage and nervous and his wife convinced him to get up there and sing he just wanted to write songs I bet he's glad he listened to his wife Morgan Stapleton is a very good singer in her own right

If you do "Barely Alive", please do the Jompson Brothers version. It is still Chris Stapleton singing. The live version so often recommended is a trash recording from a cell phone. Audio is terrible. For a first time reaction, the Jompson Brothers version will be a better choice. YES, Chris is always better live, I agree.
